Is this a mistake? Will working for Mason anger my father?
Studying him across the table, Mason could have modeled for Calvin Klein. He was that hot. His square jaw, shadowed by a layer of stubble, reminded me of the lead singer of a rock band. His features were sharp, and he had a few gray strands peeking out from a full head of thick black hair. Under his designer suit was a sculpted physique.
Mason exuded a subtle power. He looked at me with an intensity and confidence that I found myself helplessly drawn to.
Closing my eyes, I could still feel those powerful muscles rippling under my fingers. Stumbling and landing in the arms of the stranger who tried to run me over on his way out of the elevator had been a stroke of delicious luck.
As we dined, my thoughts betrayed me and I kept thinking of how he’d held me that morning with his strong hands. His long fingers would have been perfect for playing a grand piano… or a woman.

Her world view changed after six months away, she returned to the working world and obtained a Masters Degree in both Spanish and Elementary education--and started writing secretly at night. .
She loves books so much, that she writes both children’s books and science fiction with her son, under the names Grant Allison and Grayson Walker.

Another instalove story. What a surprise. Just like others, H & h started liking each other as soon as the story started, but of course, there must be reasons why they shouldn’t be together, right? Right.
Then we got into the plane crash and they’re the only survivors. I loved how Kinsey took charge of their hike out of the crash site, I loved how she handled herself well in the wilderness and how she was not dependent on Mason to survive.
However as soon as they got back to the civilisation, oh my God all the cliches started again. H & h separated just like that, as if the bond they forged in the jungles meant nothing. H was scared of h’s dad, believe it or not. But this was a HEA so of course they eventually realised how stupid the initial separation was, so they got back together again. The end.
2 stars for the bit in the jungle. Otherwise one. Sorry. I do give 5 star ratings when stories are believable and H & h don’t do silly things normal people wouldn’t. This one was just.... me dragging myself one page at a time just because I’m not a quitter!
This is the first book in the Lost Billionaire Series. A chance encounter brings high school friends back together. Mason and Kinsey find that the chemistry's still there. But past mistakes cloudy the picture and then they're thrown into a dangerous situation. Danger, drama and lots of suspense add to the fast-paced action of the book. Well written with strong characters and an engaging storyline. I read an arc via Booksprout and voluntarily chose to write a review.
When Mason and Kinsey bump into each other outside Kinsey’s fathers’ office, Mason’s first reaction is to offer an emotional Kinsey some support. Kinsey’s father is a real hard a** and treats his daughter horribly. After finding out what’s going on between Kinsey and her father, Mason has a proposition that will help them both. His secretary’s mother recently hurt herself and his secretary needs to take a leave of absence to care for her. Mason offers the temporary job to Kinsey, hoping she’ll take it. Kinsey proves herself to be business savvy. After hearing about the issues he’s having in regards to a plant in China that’s producing one of his products, she offers to contact the ambassador, who happens to be a personal friend. After securing a meeting with him in China, they hop on board Mason’s private jet and head out. Over the ocean, something happens to one of the engines and they crash into the jungle in Nicaragua. Kinsey and Mason are the only survivors, and they’re forced to abandon the plane and head into the jungle to find civilization. Kinsey proves over and over that she’s got a great head on her shoulders and is really grounded. Absolutely the opposite of what the tabloid had portrayed her. On their trek across the country, they come upon snakes, a rebel camp, and other pitfalls while trying to find their way to a city to get help. After a few weeks, they’re able to find there was to a town with modern conveniences and are able to call home. Once their families come to get them, Mason walks away from the woman he loves, fearing her father wouldn’t think he was good enough for her. This book is sooo good!! I cried, I got angry, I fell in love. Kinsey’s father is just the worst sort of person, you want to strangle him for the way he treats her. Then you want to strangle Mason for walking away from Kinsey after all they shared. With great writing, wonderful characters, and a story that tugs at you, you won’t go wrong with Mason. I’d definitely recommend!!
A great story of love, strength. Kinsey had everything she wanted, her father took care of everything, except he wouldn't let her fullfill her dream of working at the family compnay. Suddenly her dad gives her a harsh dose of reality and cuts her off. She has rent coming up and bills to pay with no job on the horizon. Mason is a billionaire that has came from nothing and has worked really hard to get where he is today. When his executive assistant leaves on a family emergency and he needs a replacemet a chance encounter with Kinsey changes that. She is his oldest friend and mentor daughter and she is all grown up and the sparks fly. On the way for a meeting in China their plane goes down and they are on their fight of thier lives in the Centreal American Jungle. Will their love survive the jungle? Will they make it home? It kept me interested till the end.

I was excited to read this book after reading the book description. It started off by grabbing my attention, but about 25% through I was trying to connect with the characters. I felt Kinsey was strong, a spoiled brat, smart and then something else. She had too many sides. For Mason, I felt he was strong one minute and then just weak because he didn't go after what he wanted. Also, I'm still trying to figure out if he worked for her father. Is that why he was a big influence on his decisions about the relationship?
For me, the relationship didn't build. I guess they were friends, then they liked each other, then they didn't and I'm still just lost.
Overall, I somewhat liked where the story might have went, but it was too many things happening, the POV changed too often and the main event in the book that brought them together didn't really add to the story for me. Lastly, I found the series title to be misleading. I thought it was a company.
I feel like I missed a prequel or intro to this series making this story very uneven. Clearly intended to set up the rest of the series I still have no idea who Noah is or how the subsequent books tie to him. The MCs of this story - Mason and Kinsey - have a history which is alluded to but never fully explained. Their unexpected "adventure" gives some insight into them as individuals and as a couple. Because of the lack of back story I don't know why Mason was so sure Noah would object to them as a couple or even how Noah feels about Mason. Likewise why Noah believes Kinsey needs a minder is equally unclear. The beginning of the book makes her seem like a frivolous rich girl, but it quickly becomes clear she has real substance so how does that escape Noah's notice? It's engaging enough I'll read the next book.
First half of the book was really good, I was even on board during the crash situation. The problems came when they were rescued.
Without giving too much away…they were rescued, then her dad shows up and then Mason decides they can’t be together and just ends it. Ok, we’ve seen that before in other books…but then that’s kinda it. They jump forward 6 months and they haven’t had contact and all of a sudden he goes to her graduation and then her apartment and then they’re back together. No groveling, no conflict resolution, no discussion about why he decided to end it at all.
Then the book is over. That’s it.
It has a strong start with an ok middle and a hastily thrown together ending. I still gave it 3 stars because of the first half of the book, otherwise it would be a 2 star for me.
There is some spice, but it’s not super steamy and there is some fade to black. Honestly, this could have been a skip for me.

OMG my heart is still racing...I loved this story Kinsey and Mason were perfect for each other. They both had a lot of gowning up to do so when they meet years later the timing is perfect. Her father was a total A.H. to her and a great mentor to everyone else. His ideal of "tough" love was so misplaced the I was glad she said F. him and lived her best life the way she wanted to. I also would have loved to be a fly one the well for the wake up call her father got after the plane crash wish Allison had work that in the book.
You will love the story enjoy. Now to get the rest of Noah's lost boys.

Hero and heroine know each other earlier in past but it seems hero forgot how beautiful heroine looked. They meet again, cranky father of heroine seemed quite odd and sexist. Heroine and hero explore their lust and mutual attraction . They were supposed to go on a business trip together but plane crashed and although everyone onboard died except them and then story begins how they develop their mutual attraction I love. I liked the plot, it is different from other romance genre stories.

Good overall setting at the beginning. Girl likes boy, boy likes girl. Then the plane crash happened. I do have to say, K being a determined, self-reliant woman, was great. But it felt rushed. Especially after they return from the plane crash. Her dad doesn’t want M around but then all of sudden, he’s at her wedding? What?
Overall the story has a great foundation. I just felt very rushed, especially after they got back.

I absolutely loved this book. Mason and Kinsey’s story kept me glued to my iPad until I finished their story. I had my doubts, when they crashed in Nicaragua, which I didn’t see coming. Their journey back home showed them each what was most important. It was a tough journey, but it was beautifully told by Allison Lafleur. I can’t wait to to read Damon’s book next.
This novel had a lot of good moments, a lot of sweet moments; BUT it also had lot of just okay moments and just a sliver of the romance that the title implied. However, even though there were times when it would lull, I never pondered choosing another novel for immediately something would grab my attention again. There was always something slightly spicy or mysterious which would reel me back in to stick by the side of this author. In the end, though, I'm glad I finished reading this novel.
When I started reading this, it was just your typical run of the milk romance stories: boy meets girl, they clash because they're so attracted to each other, but can't act on it because of complications. Then the unthinkable happened and literally changed their lives forever. What a difference this made to the story. The sex was so passionately written and this made it very enjoyable to read.
Really loved this book. It's a stronger story than most romance novels I read. The characters have great personalities. The romance is strong. I love the way they come together and the adventure they have. It's kind of magical.
This is the first Allison LaFleur book I've read. Can't wait for the next book.

Two characters that have known each earlier in life. They are both well described and likeable. Well written story and plot. It has very unexpected twists in it and they makes the story worth the read. It is different from others. I like it.
I loved this book. The characters have great chemistry. I was engaged immediately in the story. I couldn't believe her dad did what he did. I loved that she found the job she did and it led to a whole new life for her. Suspense, drama and love. Great storytelling.
I had a hard time liking Kinsey and that dislike made enjoying the book difficult. Her dad was a jerk for no other reason than that he can and she keeps going back for more. I’m being told that Kinsey has a back bone but I never saw that. She was a total doormat.
