I just finished reading "When Things Get Real" and I'm so mad that you left us hanging! This was such an engaging read! I read in one sitting. Tanisha really has a way with dialogue. I felt like I really knew all of these families and I could see this playing out in my mind. I so want things to work out for Shaneece, Twon and the baby. I really liked how Tanisha included Dr Charles in the story. It was refreshing to see that relationship start to blossom between him and Hype. I can't wait for what's next! Recommended for older teens on up.

This book was awesome! The teens in this story have been going through. However, it was good to read about their issues and how they're transitioning into adulthood. Very relatable to real life. Ready for the next installment of the series. Great work!!!

Cant wait for part 3

Warning: this review has spoilers so please skip if you dont want the book to be spoiled for you. This book had me on the edge until the very end wondering what each character would do. I'm so glad that Twon survived his suicide attempt and is doing better. Hopefully he decides to go to college and also hopefully his mom has a change of heart and decides to have a relationship with him before it is too late. Im so glad him and Shaneece are happy together. I hate that Charles had to end up like he did. I was hoping he would be able to get out before things went wrong. Im hoping Hype and Quid will be able to finally get over their guilt and stop blaming themselves for what happened. I cant wait to see what happens in the next part.

This book was definitely on point. It started right where it left off. All these teenagers were going to trial and tribulations all there lives were intertwined into each other’s. It seems like neither one of them could get a break. They never understood what the value of friendship was because all they were doing was hurting each other and that’s not good.

The shocker was Charles if they didn’t learn anything they should have learned from him. I was saddened to see what happened to him it should have put something in there hearts but all they had was sadness.
This book was really good everyone should read this book.

Good for YA Audience

I would recommend this book to young readers because of the message the author is trying to relay. Not too sure how it would appeal to older 30+ readers. Some things in the story were kind of repetitive and dragged out. But other than that I would like to find out how everyone will finally deal with their issues.

Great book!

This book touched of a ton of subjects that people are dealing with in their lives right now. The teens in this book went through so many things; feeling unloved by their parent, cheating, and friendship lost. Good read.

very good series

I can’t get over how Shaneece just swoop in and just do that dirty stuff and ends up with Twon. Twon too good for her and why Twon feels that his baby.
