Book 2 of the Austin Family Farm series. In the continuing saga of Austin Family Farm, you will meet new members of the growing family. Each with their own story. You will see the struggles as they prepare for their first real test in the ring. Successes, failures and distractions that leave us wondering who will be there when the dust settles. New horses add excitement for our riders and challenges them in ways they never expected. Relationship grow stronger between the team as others fall by the wayside. New beginnings and sad endings will keep you wondering whether the family will continue to grow or fall apart all together.
This review is almost the same as my review of the first book. I enjoyed the characters, old and new and the storyline.
It is hard to believe that a rider can go from never jumping to winning a 1.5 meter course within a few months, regardless of western riding experience. I would recommend the book to horse lovers who can handle numerous punctuation and grammar mistakes as well as lack of proof reading.
I would recommend the author to at least develop on advanced arc team so people can help with the errors and comment on aspects that an editor normally would suggest.
In the Ring : Chasing Dreams (Austin Family Farms Book 2)
All their hard work finally was coming together, even the beginners, all of them were ready, they had only been riding for four months. Their first show was close, to show off their raw talent, their horses, their barn and their family. Others may train to run the rails, but when you have your family to be in your corner, it just can't get better! Great 👍 Read!!!
I really enjoyed this series. The family was heartwarming and is what every child or teen could want in a parent, understanding and unconditional love. I did have trouble keeping all the horses and characters straight with all the comings and goings. I do hope for a book 4! I will read other books from this uthor.
Even all the misspelled words..awful punctuation..and disjointed pages couldn't take away all the pleasure and sweetness of the story..I am so going to keep on reading till I can't!
What a book! I lived this book. As a former Event rider I could relive ever moment of my very short career before a career ending injury. The writing was exquisite, the characters outstanding and the horses are out of this world. His descriptions of life in a show barn show he must have spent some time in one.b They were perfect. The best books about horse showing on the circuit I've ever read. Highly recommended for all ages.
Cute teen romance with horses used as background. But the complete lack of correct terminology got in the way of everything. One wonders if the author has ever been to a jumper show. Combine that with bad grammar and misspellings, and the result is very amaturish.
Another good story in this series! I am really enjoying this series even if I am a cowgirl at heart and Quarter Horses will always hold first place there. Loved how they adopt every one and it's like a big family!
