Jane and Eric de Vries. Often enemies. Sometimes lovers. Husband and wife. Or are we?
I wore the dress. We said the vows. And somehow it became more than just a stunt to collect his billions. A promise bound by love more than hate. Until the bastard left me at the altar.
Now my errant husband has disappeared, leaving me to unravel his secrets, one by one. And when he returns, it's like I never existed. Except when he looks at me like he wants to rip my dress from my body. Something’s holding him back. And I won't rest until I discover its cause.
See, this wild heir is about to find out: karma's a bitch. When Eric returns from wherever he went, he’ll get my revenge. My weapons? Batting eyelashes, high heels, and those kisses he can't resist. I'll break down his mask, little by little. And then I'll make him pay for what he did. I just need to keep my heart in check while I do it.

When not writing, she is hanging out with her family, playing soccer with the rest of the thirty-plus crowd in Seattle, or going on dates with her husband. In her spare time, she likes to go running or practice the piano, but never seems to do either one of these things as much as she should.
A roller coaster of awesomeness! Omg! Nicole truly amazes me! The story of Jane and Eric continues on and you will go thoroughly enjoy the passion, suspense, humor and perfection in book 2! I can’t wait for the next book!!!
This couple deserves way more than 5 stars! The complexity of this couple and the world they are navigating is astonishing and speaks volumes about Nicole French and her writing! She has created two characters that you can’t help but love and sometimes maybe even hate! She evokes all your feelings and plays on your emotions! You have no idea what to expect and can never anticipate what happens! This amazing author keeps you on your toes and has you on edge the whole time!
I’m not one for cliffhangers but if I’m going to read a book that has them it’s definitely a book by French because no one can write them as addicting as she does! Her stories have a pull on you and you can’t stay away no matter how hard you try! Read her I dare you because once you start you never want to stop till you read the last word! There’s one more book in this series and though I have to wait I’ll gladly do it because the reward of where this adventure leads is going to be worth it!
Jane is the epitome of Quicksilver; she’s someone that definitely changes very quickly, or is difficult to hold or contain! But when it comes to Eric, Jane just wants his love! She wants to be let it and it kills her to see this sure man turn into who she used to be! Roles have reversed and now Jane is trying her hardest to show Eric that their love is the key to save them both! She might have to fight dirty but armed with her best rouge Jane will fight the battle and hopefully win the love she knows she deserves!
Wow what another amazing read to this amazing series. You will be laughing and then angry the next min and then your heart will melt for Eric and Jane. jane is the same witty female that has comebacks for everything and will have you excited about the fight between Eric and Jane. This isa amazing read that has the words flowing off the pages. This is a issuse of are Eric and Jane married as Eric grandmother changed her will, this will tell you the story throutout the story of the places they go to get their sechange at love again when they run away from Janes real dad that is contorling Eric. I so cant wait for the next book.
Nicole French kicked this book out of the ballpark 10 times over!! I really hate cliffhangers right now, I want more NOW!! Eric and Jane have this sick kind of relationship but it works for them in more ways than one but what they don't know is John Carson is one sick mother mofo, he will do anything to keep them apart!! What will happen to Jane and Eric, if they don't get one step ahead of him? Will they get their happily ever after?
Not my first read by author and I have already read Book #1 and anticipated this one SO MUCH!
One of the reasons why is because the heroine Jane or Mrs. de Vries in this is bad-ass!! John Carson I mean can we just kill off a character, I would be okay with that because this man will do anything to keep Jane and Eric apart, I mean to a point where Jane has to start all over again what it seems and she struggles, fights and also is heartbroken, all.in.one. Gah, read this in one sitting, I also told myself I'd never do another cliffhanger BUT here we are, soo I definitely need more more more! So now it's just the hurry up and wait! I highly recommend reading Book 1 for obvious reasons, at least you know there is a Book 2 after you fall right off the cliff.
Great characters again, the plot and side characters. Mystery, suspense and SO MUCH EMOTION! I was not ready for this book for sure!
Rating: ★★★★★ Steamy: 🔥🔥🔥🔥 Recommended? ☑ HIGHLY ⇨ H A P P Y - R E A D I N G ⇦
Oh my gosh, I can’t stand it! Eric & his pretty girl blew me away this time around, even more so than in THV. French sent me on Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride with all of the ups and downs, ins and outs, and the sheer complexity of their relationship, and I am BEGGING for more! TKP checked off all my wants with the angst and the suspense and the teamwork. There was love and hate, friendships and animosity and I am THRILLED! Let’s talk steam: I had to pause and fan my cheeks! Just holy crap! We know from THV that they can get down and dirty, but there are levels to this, and this couple is GOALS! I’m ready for the rest of their story, because cliffhangers are killing me, but the flow is solid. This trilogy is shaping up to be the best of French’s work in my opinion. Bring on the conclusion! I am READY!
What an amazing book! The characters are real and make you want to slap them, hug them and be their BFF for life. The storyline is a real page turner with some steamy scenes. A must read book. Can't wait for the next book in the series to come out.
"For some, love is sweet , but for Eric and me, it was a war— a war we were desperate to fight together. Not against each other. Against ourselves".
Oh Wow where should I start? Book one was amazing and ended on a Cliffhanger, so you understand that I didn't want to get to the end of the Kiss Plot but it was as awesome as the whole book.
The Kiss Plot starts right where The Hate Vow ends. We go with Eric thru his journey and Jane's while she waits. We get answers to so many of the questions, enjoy pretty cool, steamy scenes. We laugh, we cry, it's infuriating at times but get ready to not wanting to put it down.
I love the mistery surrounding the society but I loved even more the strong couple Eric And Jane become. I can't wait for book three!
Was there really any other rating that I would give this book? I love Jane and Eric!!! They are ALMOST everything....(I gave that title to Brandon and Skylar already) They have me all over the place. My brain and emotions were constantly at war with each other. I was thinking I knew what was going to happen, but then I was second guessing myself. There was a lot of mystery and suspense in this one. One of the biggest mysteries to me is what did Celeste know? Obviously at the family matriarch she knew a whole lot. But there seems to be a society of men involved here so with her being a woman I wonder how much did she know? She most likely would have had to figure things out for herself! I can not wait for the next (and final) book! I had so many questions that I need answered! Nicole French has me reeling! My mind is so full of the things that I think may happen next, I don't know if I will be able to completely move on to another book until I can get my hands on the last one! Absolutely worth ALL the red-lip-smacked stars!!! I am counting down the days until I can be with them again! (or I would be if I knew an exact date of when to expect them)
Let me start off by saying that yet again, this author blew me away with this continuation of this story from the The Hate Vow. Jane and Eric have become my favorite book characters ever! This story takes up where The Hate Vow left off and it surely doesn't disappoint. It's hard to write a review without giving away spoilers, as this book is so unbelievably incredible, so emotional, so riveting that you not only don't want to put the book down, you don't ever want it to end. Eric and Jane's story continues on a twisty, crazy ride of anger, sadness, lust and even love that makes your heartbeat fast and your emotions soar. These two have so much unreal chemistry that you can feel it in your very soul. So much happens in this story that it will have your head spinning and your mind blown. Please do yourself a huge favor and read this incredible story. Now I can't wait for the final book in this phenomenal trilogy. The waiting is going to be so hard!
This is the very awaited sequel of The Hate Vow. And. I. Am. Blown. Away. Seriously, I need the next book now. In The Kiss Plot we see a side of Eric that I for one didn’t expect. But Jane is his best complement. Eric is not quite himself in most of this book and I have to admit, I wanted to slap him around until he got it together, but Jane was there, not giving up and as stubborn as she is, she got it! I loved Jane in this book. Her fierceness, her unapologetic attitude and her feistiness are what entertained me the most. I’m not saying she is much different from the first book, cuz we all remember her great comebacks in The Hate Vow, but in this book she finally realizes what she wants and actually fights tooth and nail for it. She not only fought for her, but for Eric who, again, I wanted to shake and slap. Jane has her insecurities, like we all do, but her personality won’t let her have a pity party and I love that about her.
And very much like Nicole, she didn’t give me what I really wanted until the VERY END. Seriously? I won’t spoil anything but....until the very end Nicole? Well, at least it happened in this book! LOL. I think I would’ve tossed my kindle if the book ended and “the thing” wasn’t done! Sorry to be so cryptic but you REALLY need to read this book to find out!
This book has a dash of every emotion you can imagine: suspense, swoon, frustration, desperation, love, hate, confusion, a little bit more of frustration lol 😂 and the sexy parts, oohhhh Boy. That’s all I’m saying.
Loved seeing the gang together, Skylar and Brandon and some of the secondary characters were surprising too. I’d love to see more of Nina and what she will bring to the table.
Again, I can’t wait for the next book. I want to see Eric and Jane bring a certain group DOWWWNNNN.
I devoured this second book to the trilogy. Nicole French takes you on such an emotional journey with Eric and Jane. So many highs and lows. One minute you love them and the next you want to throttle them. You never know what your expecting to happen with these two. And the hotness they create will sure melt your readers. This series will sure get your heart pumping in more ways then one. But with an evil man after them, will they be able to find peace and happiness once and for all. I'm ready for the conclusion to find out. Best series yet. (I really want their happy ending but I'm nervous).
Nicole has outdone herself in The Kiss Plot, Quicksilver #2. It continues on where The Hate Vow left off. Are Jane and Eric married? That is the million dollar question. And exactly who is John Carson and Janus?
The turns this book takes will flip you upside down and break your heart along with Eric and Jane's. But hearts are resilient and will survive as you experience this amazing, fast paced, eagerly anticipated second installment of this trilogy.
The love and war relationship of Jane and Eric will have you swooning one minute and laughing the next. The Thanksgiving scene had me laughing out loud like a fool and the vodka scene had my heart melting like butter. I loved these two so much! I can't wait to see what else is in store for them as they are left in somewhat of a predicament at the end of this book.
So grab this book up, but make sure to read The Hate Vow first, you will love these characters and won't want to put it down, I can promise you!

This book was so good - so emotional, yet so maddening. Jane and Eric are so good when they actually say what they are thinking, they really do love each other, but are so insecure about their feelings. They are scared about the future and what is coming their way, via Jane's Dad - they wanna fight together, take care of the threat. Now that they are committed in every way - out in the public was a big step, cause you never know who's watching.... I want to read about them forever!
I was so excited to get this ARC from Nicole French! Been waiting since I finished book 1’s ARC lol.
I needed to know what happened after book 1 ended and having to wait was killer but once I got it, I couldn’t put it down.
Jane is one of my favorite heroines, I love her style and how she doesn’t care what others think of her. And with how book 1 ended, I felt with her all her emotions. I was right there with her trying to figure what in the world had happened and WHY!!!
Eric, this man I hate to love him and love to hate him all at the same time! I hated him at the end of book 1, so that hate was still strong in the beginning of this one. But I understood where he was coming from but I didn’t like it. I have to stay that in the end he had me loving him all over again!
Nicole did it again with this one. Loved every minute of it. But I also don’t like having to wait AGAIN Nicole!!! But you know I will cuz I have to know how this ends with Jane and Eric!!
I totally recommend this book as it is a 5️⃣🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 read for me!
This story contains all of these strong emotions. As it picks up from the wedding, Eric and Jane embark on a dance for differing emotions and both face the same puppet master. Both love to hate each other while silently, they are purged into their own silent despair. As they acknowledge their underlying love for each other they morph into a team that is them against the world.
At times I wanted to shake the both of them to knock some sense into them. The depth of emotions and honestly made me want to weep along with them and made want to cheer with the highs. I can't help but want to see how this story ends but I am hoping that they will be kicking butt to get there. True love shouldn't be that hard.
The moment Eric and Jane wandered onto the page they had me completely captivated with them all over again, and the adventures their unconventional union takes them on. These two originally joined forces for the sake of power and money, but I foresee love eventually taking a front row seat in this relationship.
The chemistry with these two is off the charts, but that is not the only thing running high between these too... so is the tension, they seriously like to push buttons, and test limits! The banter between these two is something else, they had me giggling and smiling throughout. I am really loving this couple, and I cannot wait to see how everything plays out for them in the next installment. I am counting the days until my next adventure between the pages with them!! Highly recommend you meet these two, the adventure they will take you on is unforgettable... and filled with smiles and swoons!
I requested an advanced copy of this title from the publisher, and I am voluntarily leaving my honest and unbiased opinion.
Well damn, I think Nicole French has just been bumped to one of my top reads of the year.
This author is fairly knew to me, having only read The Hate Vow, and being left on that freaking cliffhanger! I was eager as hell to get this! I have a love and hate relationship with cliffys!
I hate to love them, and love to hate them. If me a decent cligghanger and I will love and hate you all in one and Ms French did just that, and she kept me on my toes as I started reading The Kiss Plot.
I'm so smitten with Jane and Eric and their relationship. Their highs, their lows, and their in between.. We get more of the story between Jane and Eric in this book and what started out as a way for Eric to get his money from his family that he is suppose to inherit and Jane having a secure place to stay, quickly turns into so much more. The love and chemistry between these two was intense and could be cut with a knife. They really are two totally different people yet their banter and the way they bounce off each other is incredible. In parts I was laughing and in other parts I was ready to cry and scream and throw my kindle at the wall.
And again, that freaking ending... What are you trying to do to me, Ms. French? Gah!
All in all, this book was just as good as the first one, and that something that isn't always the case with some authors. It is truly captivating, addictive, intense and hot as hell!
A MUST READ and I would give it more than 5 stars if I could!
This book was sooooo good, I think I need a bottle of vodka! I read the first book in the series and instantly fell for Jane. She is such a badass and I loved everything about her. The Kiss Plot kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time and I couldn’t put the book down. This book had me staying up till a ridiculous time which hasn’t happened in a while. Jane had Eric’s back despite how he left things in the first book. The sexual frustration and chemistry between Jane and Eric was hot af. I’m looking forward to the next book. Book 3 cannot come soon enough!
So, a marriage of convenience, that always goes smoothly LOL
I couldn’t read Hate Vow back in March because my personal life exploded at the time it was being promoted and I couldn’t concentrate well enough to comprehend a single thing that was happening but when The Kiss Plot came along, I was ready. I’m super glad I got to read the two books back to back. I’m not sure the story would have been as enjoyable any other way because Hate Vow dragged for me for a good chunk of it. There was zero wow factor to the story-line … until there was. When that happens at the very beginning of a book, you’re asking it to be DNF’d too easily. I came close but I’m glad I didn’t. I stuck with it and really enjoyed it!
Eric and Jane are characters you can root for. You want their relationship to work because you feel their attraction jumping off the pages. They captivated me and I really wanted it to work out for them. Of course, you don’t get that satisfaction with Hate Vow because shocker … cliffhanger LOL But I knew going into it so no biggie. At least I didn’t have to wait for Kiss Plot longer than a minute LOL
So now I’ve read Kiss Plot and I have to say that captivated by their journey doesn’t even begin to cover it LOL Their journey is riddled with twists and secrets, but they are unified in their fight to a HEA. I have no doubt they will weather their journey but it’s gonna be a bumpy ride. It already is LOL Everything about this section of their journey was like a roller coaster of ups and downs, good and bad, heaven and hell (metaphorically speaking of course lol). I swear, they took one step forward but landed two steps back!
There’s even more story yet to come which if I’m being honest, is probably going to be the most thrilling part of their journey. I feel it. So far, I would rate this journey 3.5 stars (3 stars for The Hate Vow and 4 stars for The Kiss Plot). I’m hoping for serious wow factor in The Love Trap coming in September and I think I'm gonna get it!
This story gets better and better. It was absolutely phenomenal . You go through a roller coaster of emotions and total awesomeness. Nicole totally captivated me with the suspense , passion and intrigue with The Kiss Plot . She has created spell bounding characters you can’t stop yourself falling in love with . There were moments I couldn’t stop laughing and others when I was so angry I wanted to throw my kindle. I am not a fan of cliffhangers and normally wait for a series to be complete before diving in but honestly this is one of the best series that I don’t mind the cliffhanger and being left hanging on tenterhooks waiting to find what stores ahead for Eric and Jane . I can’t thank enough Nicole and Wildfire Marketing Solutions for the advance copy of this book. I am anxiously awaiting for the next book in this series until then I will go and check out other books by this author on Amazon. A must read!
I received an ARC for an honest review! After reading The Hate Vow, I have been anxiously awaiting this sequel. The 2nd of 3 books, The Kiss Plot is everything you didn't know you needed.
Pretty Girl and Petri are from two different worlds, and All of Eric's secrets are starting to come out. In this book you will see all the fighting, all the drama and all of the unconditional love!
Hot steamy scenes like the vodka scene will blow your mind! With a perfect mix of tension and steamy scenes, it is well balanced.
Holy moly, this book was an emotional roller coaster! After the way the previous book ended, I had been very curious to see in which direction the author would take Jane and Eric. Part of me was worried that they’d be separated for most of the book or that anyway there would have been a disconnect between the two of them. Instead, I loved how they managed to find their way back to each other, this time without the pretense of a fake marriage. Eric was a big surprise for me in this book. In the first installment I saw him as a very self-assured man, the type of guy that no one can bring down. In this second book, he is more vulnerable, frail, and seeing him struggle with himself and his love to keep Jane safe was heart-wrenching. This book was full of ups and downs for this couple. I had the feeling, as I was reading it, that I too was walking on eggshells the way they were sometimes doing with each other, unsure of the other’s feelings. Only to then stomp on all those eggshells when they cannot hold in their emotions anymore. Which brings me to another point I want to touch, and bear with me while I go off on a tangent. Many moons ago, while I was still reviewing lots of YA, usually with some paranormal aspects, I discussed how second books often feature a reason why the two leads shouldn’t be together, be it curse, a surprise kinship, or whatever, and I remember that at the time I bashed a book because, in my opinion, the best thing about this “trope” are the outbursts, meaning that despite the don’ts and shouldn’ts, the characters just cannot help themselves from being together. Now, going back the book at hand, this was the perfect example of how it should be done. Because of Jane’s father dearest, being together is risky. But instead of just freezing the relationship into a pillar of ice like I’d seen so many other books do, in this case it transformed into a low simmer that couldn’t help but increase to the point of spilling out of the pot. Tangent over. Now onto other things I loved about this book. Skylar and Brandon are again featured as secondary characters and it’s always a pleasure to read about them. Also, I really like Zola’s character and the role he played in this book. Jealous Eric is a treat 😉 Also, how could I ever forget to mention the heat level. Off. The Charts. First of all, I’ll never be able drink vodka without some very vivid images popping up in my mind. And secondly, I appreciated how the steamy parts were never just mindless heat thrown at the book for their own sake, but rather used as elements to bring the couple closer, to signify something. The ending was probably my favorite part. That last 20% really had me glued to the pages, and at a certain revelation I was squealing of joy, and snickering at the thought of Eric and Jane in that situation. Now all that is left to do is waititing patiently (Ha!) for the next book. Let the count down start!
Either Nicole French is mean or I'm a pirate! I just yelled "aaaaargh" and tried to throw my kindle. However, in my defense I did just reach the end...for now because as we all know this is only book 2 of the trilogy. Gaaaaaahhhhh! Still trying not to throw my kindle but it might slip one of these times.
The Kiss Plot starts off where The Hate Vow ended- in chaotic despair. be careful because attachments and feels are unavoidable. I think my favorite part of this trilogy is Jane's unlimited spunk. She is feiry, wicked, and sharp witted. I love her personality 110%. She has a "no [sh]ucks given" attitude that she wears like armor but she's actually a bit marshmallow-y. And boy does her feisty come out and play in the big leagues!
The Kiss Plot is a train wreck of epic proportions. You can't stop watvhinf, you can't actually help, but you are invested because you are witnessing the horrific outcome. Everything you want, need, and hope for is going to be taken advantage of in The Kiss Plot. Every hope and goal for this dynamic duo of contrasting images is twisted, torn, and frayed. All of it will be tested; not all will make it through the wringer.
My suggestion is stock up on mood enhancing treats. You are going to need them when Janus comes calling. Simple pleasures are not to be taken for granted....trust me!
Oh my word!! This story takes you on an adrenaline trip and keeps you there! This story starts where The Hate Vow ends, and you really need to read The Hate Vow first or you will be completely lost. Eric has walked out of the church and left Jane at the altar right after the priest announced them husband announced them husband and wife. He disappeared for 10 days and when he finally returns, he wants nothing to do with Jane and their almost marriage. When his grandmother’s will is read however, they discover that they will at least have to cohabitate for a certain period of time for either to inherit. They are also having to deal with the evilness that is John Carson, and the Janus society. Eric and Jane are having to deal with a lot of double dealing, evil plots, and family members that are only out for themselves. While all this is going on, they still need to deal with the plethora of feelings between the two of them that still haven’t been dealt with. Nicole French is a master storyteller. I was drawn in from the first line and I was kept locked in place until the very last line. The world building and characters are so well drawn out that you can actually see what’s visualize everything. I can’t wait for the third book in this trilogy because I really need to know what happens next!! *I received an ARC of this story and this is my honest and voluntary review.
