Kimberli A. Bindschatel is a thrill seeker, travel adventurer, passionate animal lover, wildlife photographer and award-winning author of the Amazon Best-selling Poppy McVie Mystery series.
When she’s not busting bad guys with her pen, she’s out in the wilderness getting an adrenaline fix. She has rappelled down a waterfall in Costa Rica, rafted the Grand Canyon, faced down an Alaskan grizzly bear at ten feet (camera in hand), snorkeled with stingrays, and white-water kayaked a Norwegian river. She’s always ready for an adventure.
She lives in northern Michigan where she loves to hike in the woods with her rescue dog, Josee, share a bottle of wine with good friends, or sail Lake Michigan with her husband on their boat, Priorities. (You gotta have your priorities!)
Kimberli also co-writes the Charity Styles Caribbean Thriller series with Best-selling author, Wayne Stinnett.
She loves sharing her passion for adventure and wildlife with her readers and happily gives away some of her award-winning wildlife photos.  Sign up for her newsletter at www.kimberlibindschatel.com and get a free photograph for your desktop.

This read was different with Poppy in the lead and directing her team mates to their jobs. She is so serious about her job that you do not want to get in her way. It was so hard her seeing and hearing about the local people wanting the wolf pack dead being the fighter for animal rights she has been since joining the government agent out of college. She definitely did not back away when the locals would threaten her. She kept her head down pushing forward. With all the threats received someone evidently tried to hurt/kill her. She did get to stop the killing of the wolf pack with help from her boss who she was not sure was on her side. Enjoy this story. I really enjoy the books on Poppy McVie as they are easy to read and it is good to see someone looking out for the animals rights.

Giving a dog, a bad name, everyone cries wolf.

This book dose not paint Ranchers in a great light. Wolves aren't really the problem, it's the horrible people who believe the environment is theirs to do with as they please. Even the government isn't allowed to inform them What the law is... Partly because the politicians are self-serving slim, who pander to their communities deluded beliefs every two years.
This background means old grudges, inheritance and controlling personalities, are never forgiven or forgotten, no matter how many generations pass.
Poppy's team have to unpick generations of twisted deeds, to understand the truth. While all call these troubles "Wolves".

Another exciting book featuring Special Agent, US Fish and Wildlife Service, Poppy McVie who is now the lead in an investigation. It's up to Poppy and her team to discover what animal is killing the ranchers' livestock. The issue of wolves in the wilderness is a hot topic with heated actions on both sides of the story. Poppy has a limited amount of time to solve this before the wolf community is hunted down and killed from helicopters.

Great story!

Another interesting story from this author. I loved the suspense she mastered in this book. Didn't really know where the culprit would be. Great ending though. Enjoyed the story.

Great action

Poppy is as passionate as ever and begins to doubt her capabilities in her job and love. Intense action and trying to connect the dots.
