When being different leads to the best years of your life.

Powerful witch Silver Spell Solange always dreamed of getting into S.S.S School When she finally achieved it, she couldn't have been happier. Making it through the first year at the prestigious school was more challenging than she could have expected, but it also introduced her to four unique shifter boyfriends — not to mention Star, her adorable uni-kitten familiar.

The gang is hoping for a peaceful break between semesters in order to relax and explore their relationship. But summer is breezing by, and after a shocking discovery, Silver and her men must take things into their own hands to learn more about the magical ring on her finger and the powers it truly possesses.

Year One may have been hard, but it had nothing on the challenges that Year Two brings. Some students will rise, others will fall, and through it all, Silver must make sure she can keep her men together no matter what crazy obstacles and tests they're about to endure.

Silver might be prepared for what S.S.S. School has in store. But something else — something even darker and more dangerous — is happening in the shadows of the school, and it has a certain ex-boyfriend’s name written all over it.

Can Silver manage to juggle everything that this second year will throw at her? Or will she fail before the final exam?

This book picks up during the summer holiday, which Silver has spent with her family. But the last part she gets to join with her harem and her new friends. Silver learns more about the complex network between the powerful shifters and mages, and she learns that the guys families have interacted with hers in the past. She also finds out that she was meant to get the magical ring, and that she didn't need to fear and repercussions from the theft in the first book, as the guardians already knew she owns it. This makes it easier for her when she meets her different in-laws, while spending time with some of her guys families.

The most frustrating part for me was that Silver seems to focus on all the wrong things, and push the important ones aside. Usually with a weak excuse like not wanting to focus on the things that hurt her, and therefore being in denial about the importance of the little things around her. Yumo does go to great lengths to try and excuse this behaviour, by making up good reasons. But it still doesn't fly with me that a spy in training, who's already received a super secret mission, goes to a party and happily accept alcoholic drinks from strangers. Hello... only thing missing was a neon sign reading "this is a bad idea". I do understand authors do it for buildup and to buy time before revealing everything, I just wish better reasons were given. Like being distracted because of tests and exams, or something like that. On top of that, I'm over all the blushing going on when anyone mentions or hints at sex. I mean, if you can't talk about "it", you shouldn't be doing it. Simple as!! At times I also felt like immature things such as whining and pouting are used too much. I mean these are adults people, and they whine and pout at least twice per chapter. That does become a bit tiresome and tedious after a few chapters!! Those are the only negatives I have, and they are all somewhat overshadowed by all the great things in the book.

What I did love is how there's new things revealed almost all the time. Details that were mentioned in the first book, now ties together nicely with this one. And it just makes it all the more intriguing. Especially when it becomes clear, that the obvious villain might just be a pawn, or an unwilling participant. The plot thickens and I have a feeling, that the next instalment won't be forgiving on sloppy mistakes or denial. I don't know what's happened to the author, but the books in this series are far superior to any of her other work. Yes, it's a lot of the same that she usually write, but the plot and the characters just seems more natural. Ironic for a supernatural book, huh!! There's nothing forced about it and everyone shines in their own way. I love how the relationship between all the guys are equal, i.e. no one is higher ranked than others, and they all met at the same time. The harem dynamic is amazing, I love how the guys look after one another and have internal bromances, that leads to some really entertaining banter and constant competition. So I cannot wait to see what year 3 has in store for Silver and her harem!!

2.5-3 stars. I was super excited to get to book 2 in this series. The first book had really intrigued me and after book one being more on the slow burn side and having a lot of get to know the boys I was super ready for them to get into the story line and really go out on research and find what they were capable of... Well that barely happened. Book 2 in the series was mostly just a smut fest lol. 30% in and absolutely nothing having to do with the story line had happened. Toward the end of the book we did get some ... slight.. progression on the plot but it was minuscule and really only added on more questions. I don't feel like the characters are taking everything seriously enough, with enough responsibility really. Its not very often that I am eyerolling during intimate scenes and wanting to just skip through to something of substance but I found it happening quite a bit here in book 2.

That all being said.. I'll probably read book 3. I mean I'll just be honest I want to know what the heck is going to happen.. but I'm not happy about it lol. Maybe I'm just a glutton for punishment but with the few reveals we got here at the very freaking end I'm going to have to move forward to see how it plays out. I'm just praying we can get some substance and some real interactions in book 3 now that we have gotten it all out of our system in book 2. Heres hoping.

Silver and her gang of men return to spy school for year two to find that someone is actively trying to split up their team and might be trying to kill Silver in order to get the ring as well. Callister seems to be involved somehow, but it is unclear how or why. Silver is also forced to face the idea that her father's death might not have been an accident.

I'm a little disappointed with book 2. First, it took way to long for the gang to even get to school. The first third of the book was a bit of a waste while they all laid around and waited for school to start.
Things picked up when Silver met Ryuu's mom and we learned that fate has these characters tied together in more ways than we originally thought. Once they get to school, things got more interesting but the ending was rushed and convoluted. I'm no stranger to being confused by events but I felt extra confused with this one. I plan on giving it one more book to hopefully explain a few things.

Exciting, Sexy & Shocking 4.5 Stars 🌟🔥😍
(Read using Kindle Unlimited)

I loved this steamy, fast paced & action packed read!!🔥😍💥

I thought it had a bit of a slow start & would've preferred it if they went back to go school sooner!! Meeting Queen Saphire, out of all of the parents, was probably the most interesting & informative!!🙏😃

I loved how much closer the harem have all gotten & how their relationship has helped each of them grow individually & as a group!!😍💘🔥 There are some messed up situations in this story, over & above what SSS trials & exams would put them in. Something sinister is definitely going on!!😱😕💀

It ends on an information overload for our group again. There's an explosive truth discovered about Silver too!!💥

Still not a lot of bread crumbs

Again the semesters are short and the on page stuff is often glossed over, or happening off page. Why couldn’t we see Zuri and her bf hanging with Silver and the gang? Why couldn’t we spend time on their holiday with them? Why couldn’t we experience the amount of time the 11 weeks of school they had? The books are fast but slow, giving info but not, being confusing and complicated and not. It’s a whirlwind and I still can’t figure out what’s going on. I’ll probably finish this out just to know what the hell has happened. I can see some things, but others I’m just not sure. Also the villains or at least antagonists being her ex and her ex bff mehhh I don’t see it.

This one is crazy but not. Going to the next one because cliffhangers.

Good

I like Song’s plots and the trajectory she takes when crafting a story. Each are unique and this series is no exception. The characters are lush and the world building complex. My only issue? Some scenes feel superfluous and ‘extra’ - it doesn’t detract from the plot, but can bog down the flow a bit.

Hello gorgeous RH storyline that not only includes the steam we all desire but the plot structure to support it. Thank you Avery Song for putting pieces together that make the "need" for RH something other than smut.

The dynamics of the group are starting to intensify and I could not be more pleased with the ending if I tried. The fact that she is slowly acquiring the magic and shifting abilities from each of the boys in her group says so much about where the story is heading. I can't wait.

I thoroughly enjoyed the interaction between the "ring" and Silver. It will be interesting to see how much more that relationship develops as Silver learns her powers, herself and what her group is truly capable of. It still annoys me that her ex is around somewhere being his obnoxious self, but every story has to have someone you hate right?

I am still patiently waiting for the female angel story and white wings to become an actual thing Song... don't let me down.

3 Super Confusing Stars

MEGA SPOILERS BC Y NOT
I don’t even know what happened in this book.

My brain hurts. The story continued to skip forward, over month long time periods all willy-nilly. I feel like the main characters that the story follows aren’t progressing. There were no more in-depth moments in this book. Except for Dmitri, in terms of what happened to his mom, and his split finally receiving his own name, “Hellsin”.

There was some weird inference that Shirley and Clarissa basically know all their family members, alive and dead. Something about Silver’s dad taking her on secret night time trips to create these weapons; that may or may not be the ones that have, seemingly, randomly appeared to aid her already. Agent Hellsin, Dmitri’s mother, had a connection to the ring that now connects these six people (and uni-kitty). In that in saving the ring from being stolen by a mysterious party with nefarious intentions she lost her life. Queen Kenisuke knew Dmitri’s mother and Silver’s father. Whereas, Silver has a flashback after being knocked out about one of those trips with her father where he mentions knowing Agent Hellsin, Shirley, and Daichi. It’s immensely confusing while I try and wrap my head around deducing how all these people knew years in advance that their children would form a bond through this ring.

Callister and Nikko’s involvement in the plot to get the ring or get Silver was madly confusing. I can’t tell whether Callister was trying to help or harm Silver this time around. He goes about warning her, TWICE! And when Silver finally catches Nikko in her lies, which felt terribly random in the way she just knew it was her, she mentions someone pretending to be gay to escape her control. Whether she was talking about Callister or Lancelot was hard to decipher, but seeing as how Callister’s homosexual proclivities were mentioned earlier on in the story and that he seemed to be avoiding her, maybe him?

Im not sure if anything much really happened in this book besides f**cking with my head.

Nothing is easy at S.S.S..

Wow, things just go from bad to very complicated really quickly. Love the bond between Team 999, and the way they interact with their trails. A couple of surprises thatI wasn’t expecting, and a destiny that is more than it seems is being unfurled before Silver and her guys.

The Supernatural Spy Academy – Year Two is one emotional book! The pace is well done and the storyline moves nicely and kept me engaged from beginning to end. There is some character development throughout the cast of characters that the author, Avery Song, introduced to readers with her first book in this series. The expectation from Silver and her men is that everything will remain the same and that things will just intensify when it comes to their classes and exams…they have no idea that what is in store for them this semester…is going to shake everything up. But someone is after Silver, and they are bringing the fight to the Academy as well and all who attend. Dark days are ahead.
My first suggestion/recommendation before you start reading this book…grab a box of tissues!! The author gives readers some backstory on Dimitri and OMG! I was in TEARS!!! I practically bawled my eyes out a couple times reading this story, but they are some seriously touching scenes as well. There is some character development with the characters, but it’s a slow progress, so don’t go in thinking that you’ll see huge leaps and bounds in how they act, react, and handle situations. I do love how they are coming closer together. They bicker at times like children, but I honestly find it absolutely adorable…most of the time. LOL! Yeah, I find it annoying when it goes on too long, but I think it’s safe to say that the author knows when she’s stretching things a bit thin and she pulls back just enough to keep things from crossing that line too often.
True to form like in the first book, there are some steamy moments in this book, but like in book one those scenes don’t happen until you get closer to the end. On one hand, I’d like more throughout the story, but on the other hand…I get why the author chooses to write this way. The focus of Silver and her men should be on surviving, succeeding, and staying ahead of the game and the danger that stalks them. Now, I will say this…I hope that soon she has Callister get a nice smack down sooner than later. LOL! When the author hinted in the beginning that Silver was going to have to cross paths/deal with Callister I frowned, but man things go wild in that department and I ate it up!
Now, when it comes to things that I didn’t like about this book…there is a couple but nothing that would make me just super irritated. Now, in the last book Silver was told to research the ring and the true owner/the first. One would think that when a PROFESSOR especially tells you…and a couple others, that that would make the research a priority especially when they failed to read the instructions. Nope! It’s like it slips their minds and I found that annoying because there could have been some seriously insane consequences! Thankfully, nothing so far but I do like that Silver does get scolded…more than once. I’m eager to learn more about her as well.
All in all, I truly enjoyed this book…maybe even more than the first book in this series, despite the darker tone that this story takes. There is plenty of action, a nice balance of romance, and some steamy moments to get you hot and bothered. I’m loving the dynamics and development and am looking forward to what comes next! I am rating this book 5 out of 5 stars. An absolute must read for those who love shifters, romance, steamy moments, danger, and books that fall in the reverse harem academy.

Silver Spell Solange is the first witch to be accepted into the prestigious Supernatural Spy School. But there's more to Silver than meets the eye, especially now that she's been chosen by Lia the Angel's ring. Silver and her team of her four boyfriends made it through Year One and are now enjoying the final weeks of summer before beginning Year Two. They thought their first year was difficult, but they never expected the danger they would be facing.

SSS: Year 2 is a bit of a let down after Year 1. The relationships took another large jump forward and the guys all seem to have gained confidence over their break but Silver did not. She's still insecure even with her extraordinary power needing constant reassurance. Each time she has a 'moment' I get excited thinking she's going to become the force she should be but then she retreats back into herself again. Even more frustrating are her priorities. She was told when she first put on the artifact, just how powerful the ring is and that she needs to research it. She has all summer to research, but no; she's given time off from classes, but doesn't find out, much. The important facts revealed about the ring are given to us by other characters. And she's incredibly unobservant. I am not a fan of her ex, but everything that came out of 'his' mouth during their time alone was 100% true. Peers are dying. Where is your focus?? How can these be the future top spies in the world? Finally, these characters don't act their age. These are adults in their 20's but at times they act like whiny, spoiled pre-teens. Again, it doesn't make sense since they are supposed to be the best representation of their people.

Storywise, there is some movement although not as much as expected. There are reveals that are key and one that was expected. It sets up the next book nicely. I love Silver's friendship with the adorable bunny shifter and how protective her sister is. It's nice to have girls you can count on even with a harem at your beck and call. And of course, I still want a flying uni-kitty. Star is my favorite part of this book.

Year Two

Yumoyori Wilson is a good story, and I loved reading SSS: Year Two. I would love to see more intimacy between Silver, Ryuu, Dimitri, Yuriel and Wolfgang, and, when I say intimacy, I don't mean sex. Not that I have a problem with the sex, because I don't, but the way this author has set up this story, I think the readers would thrive off of Silver having a deeper connection to her mates. There were times in both stories where I felt like the sex was forced just to appease us readers, and there were times when it seemed natural; for instance, when Dimitri gave her the cabin. I also think when authors who are good storytellers (and this author is a good storyteller) write in this genre or other romance genres, they tend to lace the book with sex instead of allowing genuine intimacy between the characters to draw in the readers.

There were a few times when I became frustrated with Silver and her team because I wanted them to focus more on figuring things out about the ring. I wanted their bond with each other to be more authentic and less sex driven. What makes me sad is that this author had the potential to do that. Another pet peeve is that they are adults, so why do they come across as teenagers? As I said previously, the story is good (actually it is very good), and I will continue with the next book in the series. I'm a little leery when I read reverse harem books because most of them that I have tried tend to cross my hard lines. The only other reverse harem book I have enjoyed outside of this series is The Dragon Shifter's Mates by Eve Chase. SSS: Year Two gets 4 stars from me.

At first, I had a hard time remembering how book one ended, even though I had read it not too long ago.
However, once I started reading, I picked up exactly where we had ended.

SSS: Year Two starts off in the summer after year one.
The characters are with their families, or doing something.
Silver had already had her angel shifter powers confirmed, now we are seeing others start to emerge.
This year is nothing like year one.
It is more intense.
More so than ever before.

In the first book, we saw the characters come together in their relationship.
Some had even crossed that intimacy line.
We see more of that, but that's not what this book is all about.
I love how this focuses more on the action instead of the steam.
Sometimes we see so much steam that it takes away from the actual storyline.
That isn't the case with these books.

While reading, I was worried that we weren't going to see the entire year play out.
Things seemed to be moving slowly and you were not even halfway through the year. Only one semester had been completed.
However in the end you realize there was a point to that.
I don't want to give too much away, but I loved how it all worked out.

We see so much happen in such a short amount of time in this book.
Be prepared for some heartbreak.
It is intense in this book.
But I loved it.

I can't wait to see what year three has to bring us.
These characters have definitely grown on me and I just love reading about them.

If you haven't started this series yet, now would be a good time to do so.
I highly recommend them.

A bit disappointing but ended okay

I love this author and her stories. I mean I looooovvvvee them. However this book right here felt rushed for 75% of the book. Events just did not happen at an understandable pace. Months kept being jumped at odd intervals. I was confused at what the hell was happening half the time. The mystery and suspense of the situation is more annoying then intriguing.

I’m committed to the story so I will read the next one when it come out but in a way I wish that the author would take this book back and revise it. There was hardly any build up to the mystery behind her Dad’s death. No build up to that maybe she is different. In another of her series ( brighten academy) the build up was teased but we saw the clues. Here it was just felt dumped on us like a bucket of cold water and then we just kept it moving without really addressing it. Very disorienting. This book if the next one is better is feels like it it just a set up for year 3. Some character and story development occurred but in a very mix and match fashion like as if the author gave a use puzzle pieces and is now waking up to figure out how all it all fits but doesn’t tells that some of the pieces aren’t for this puzzle but for another one. Anyway I still recommend reading the book and making your own judgement. The relationships are developing nicely and that is one of the main reasons I will continue to read this series.

This book definitely continues on the great path that year one set out. Year 2 helps develop are characters as well as bring more intrigue and understanding the background of what's happening. It goes to show that Avery Song has an amazing amount of creativity in what she's brought to the table.

The book picks up not long after the conclusion of year one. We continue to follow silver and her men as they grow closer and more intimate with each other. We begin to unlock the mystery surrounding Silver's ring and we dive deeper into a mysterious past, that is both intriguing and frustrating as we don't fully get to explain it. This book not only expands upon our main protagonists, but also gives us a more in-depth feel of the other friendships and relationships going on. I expressly love the relationship that Silver has with Zuri.

This series continues to be an absolute pleasure to read and really give us a good story that also happens to be a reverse harem. The characters have great depth in the story, while giving you many questions, is very detailed and intriguing. I can't wait to see where Avery Song is going to take us next.

I want to give it more stars...

May contain spoilers or hints at a spoiler if you didn't read the first book.

I will probably finish the rest of this series because I rarely don't finish a series, and unlike the plot as well as her harem if men. However, the main character drives me crazy. She is supposed to be 22 but acts like she is 16. Her reactions and personality traits are all over the place.
She spends so much time feeling sorry for herself because her father died, but all of her harem members lost at least one parent too! They spend so much time trying to help her feel better, she still has her mom and sister, Wolfgang her wolf shifter guy, lost his ENTIRE pack and parents were killed in front of him!!!
Silver the main character, is so busy feeling sorry for herself and "in her feelings" she doesn't take time to observe and make smart decisions. For being so powerful and on a path to change the world, I really hope she grows up in the next two books
As I said the story line is good and has a lot of potential, and the men are so sweet and I really like them, I hope she become more deserving of them in the next book.

spoiler ish

okay so I’m gonna start this off by saying I really like this book series, and I love the witchling series as well, I think Avery Song is a great writer and the plot of her books are always amazing. However, the skydiving part of this book didn’t sit right with me. The way she and the guys were bickering with Callister was the
way you’d bicker with someone who had merely treated you like shit, not someone who abused and r*ped you. I really wish that he hadn’t been pulled to them when Silver casted that first spell, I also really wish that he had been in the plane or had fallen and was at least gravely injured. The dialogue just didn’t sound real considering all we learned about him and what he did to Silver in the first book. Only speaking from personal experience on how I feel around my abuser, it just didn’t feel realistic, and my abuse was only physical so I can only imagine how much worse it is to be sexually abused. Again, I enjoy the series, love the authors work, it was just this one part in the book that really bothered me, that Callister came off as like a run of the mill asshole even though he’s a r*pist.

I liked the first half! Is this a trend for the SSS series. The first half is literally so intriguing and then the second half tanks the entire book??? I loved when the substitute teacher got told by Silver and her guys. Best part of the entire book. I liked learning more about the ring and Lia. I liked that we got to know more about Wolfgang and Dimitri (Especially Hellsin). The second half was pretty forgettable aside from when they almost die from the plane. That scene was quite interesting. There weren't a lot of steamy scenes. Also, hopefully we get more of Ryuu in the next book. Now, what pretty much tanked the book was the ending. WTF? I don't understand and am pretty confused. I get the ex boyfriend is with the people who want to capture Silver and Nikko is with him. But, the part when Wolfgang died. I didn't know what was real and what wasn't. Like what was in Silver's head and what was happening in real life. Then the ending ending when Silver learns that Wolfgang is her mate... I really liked that. That might change the dynamic, but hopefully not by much.

This book picks up exactly where we left off from Book one. If you haven't read it, stop and just go read it first because Spoilers for book 1 ahead! With that said, our MC is now Witch (not considered a supernatural), Angel and Hellhoud. In this book, we find out that she will take on the other two species of her other boyfriends. There is also a harmony that is reached in the relationship. It also feels like her harem helps her to reach a balance with in herself. However there are a few mysteries that are revealed? Was her father purposely infected and terminated? Is her father something other than just a Witch? Is she perhaps related to the mysterious Angel Lai? Hopefully we'll get book 3 soon for those answers and many more!

S.S.S. Year 2

This series just keeps getting better and better! This year Silver begins to heal from her tragic past and learns to embrace her sexuality. She now knows what it means to have real friends, to embrace her powers and the boost that comes with bonding with her men.

As they face all the challenges of year two, I laughed with them, and I cried with Silver. Sometimes even love isn’t strong enough to stop the storms from destroying the ones you love!

If you enjoyed the first book of the series, then you will enjoy this just as much...if not more! Silver delivers her wicked brand of humor and her men embrace a different kind of war that will have you rolling in laughter.

Hurry and grab your copy today!

This book was amazing! I absolutely love this series, it’s definitely one of my favorites by Yumo and I think it’s because we get to know more about the characters personally, with some amazing plot! The first part of the book focuses on Silver and the loss of her father, as well as Dimitri’s loss of his mother, and I think he grief brings them together and allows them to heal a bit better. There are a lot of questions answered in this book that brings up even more questions, I won’t go into it more because spoilers, but let’s just say that all of our characters have been connected a lot longer than when they first met. There’s a mystery going on and I can’t wait to see where it goes! Also: we get lots of sexy time, so enjoy!!

Holy shit! So much action. All of the guys has grown so much and I am so proud of them. Silver is really turning out to be the super powerful deity and is becoming more bad ass by the second. I am so hype for the next book and cannot wait to read it. I am just hoping August comes fast enough. This just keeps getting better and better! This installment was a serious emotional ride because I was sad, excited, thrilled, shocked, exuberant, and just a whole bunch of other things. Yumoyori really did a number on this one. She has completely blown my mind! You rock! Also did not expect for the spy to be who it was! And can’t wait to find out more about what’s happening to silver and answer some of these questions in the next book. The suspense is going to destroy me!

This series just gets better. In this second book the story continues and we get a ton of emotions with Silver, her family and the guys. We get to see them growing up and getting more mature, but they don’t loose the fundamentals about their personalities.
Is so good that Silver can experience real friendship for the first time in her life and that all is helping her move past her background with Callister and Nikki.
So many more questions about her dad past, and about who the bad guys are.
So get ready to a lot of emotions with Dimitri and Wolfgang, Yuri and Ryu and our favorite silver haired witch.

Mind Blown.

I loved this book because you saw a lot more of the relationship building between Silver and the guys. We learned so much about them, yet theres still more to go, which is great too. We learned a bit more about the ring, but it's still super shrouded in mystery at the same time. This book comes with betrayal we didnt expect from people we assumed we had nothing but pettiness to deal with. We also learned part of a heartbreaking secret at the same time. Overall year two was a hell of a lot more interesting which I wasnt even sure could be possible with how well the first book went. But it is.

Not recommended.

I felt this story could have been developed a lot more. The author skipped over periods of time (at one point she skipped 11 months) that could have been used to add further detail to the plot, the relationships, and the book in general. The book is definitely childish as there is so much bickering you can’t really get into the suspense of the story. Theres a lot of loose ends and honestly, this book was not what I was expecting at all. I loved book one and I had high hopes for this one also. I will not be continuing the series or ever re-reading. Hope this is helpful.
