Bram Stoker lived to tell his tale. Now he faces a fate worse than death…Author Bram Stoker thought he’d seen the last of the vampire Vlad Tepes. While his literary masterpiece Dracula is now nearly complete, the guilt of having put his friends and wife in danger follows him daily. The despair deepens when Stoker learns Tepes has bound himself to the author’s wife and claimed her for his own.

With vampire blood coursing through her veins, Stoker’s only option to keep her from becoming undead is to slay the beast. Once again, Stoker must enlist Henry Irving and Arthur Conan Doyle to destroy the fiend who inspired Dracula. What he doesn’t know is that they’re in for the fight of their lives… and souls.

Black Hunters' Moon is the second book in the Stoker's Dark Secret series, which puts a fresh horror twist on the events that inspired Bram Stoker’s immortal classic. If you like spine-tingling reads, heart-pounding action, and Victorian authors like you’ve never seen them before, then you’ll love P.G. Kassel’s dark paranormal thriller.

About the author

P.G. Kassel

P.G. Kassel is a former film and television writer-director turned novelist. He has always loved good stories and story telling. Suspense-thrillers, the supernatural and horror, romantic comedy, science fiction, westerns – he isn’t one to be fenced in by a genre label – he just enjoys telling a good story.

While attending film school at USC his focus was on directing. At the time a new director was more likely to get the opportunity to direct a feature film if they had written the screenplay. So, he began writing screenplays and teleplays, and wrote a shelf-full of them.

Phil always loved books and reading so it was only a matter of time before his enjoyment of writing screenplays began to transform into a desire to write a novel. The end result was Black Shadow Moon. He is currently writing the sequel to Black Shadow Moon and has four other novels in various stages of development.

A native Californian, Phil spent over 30 years working in the entertainment industry. In addition to writing his interests include songwriting, playing and recording music, still photography, and shooting cowboy firearms.

Phil is married to an amazing and beautiful woman who puts up with all his artistic moodiness. They make their home in Los Angeles, California.

Although this book is the second volume of this narrative based around Bram Stoker and Dracula it is very self-contained, needing no knowledge of the first book. Stoker and his colleagues, Arthur Conan Doyle and Henry Irving, set out to track the vampire Vlad Tepes back to his lair. There are many set-backs along this tortuous route, but they must continue in order save Stoker's wife who has vampire blood in her veins. Will they succeed? Will there be losses along the way? The reader has to bear in mind that this is the Victorian era. Travel was very different in those days. No hopping on a plane to whizz from A to B. The story carries the reader on an adventure, full of risks, facing the horrors of a potential paranormal finale.
A great read, you won't want to put it down.

Exciting page turner. How Bram Stoker learns how to defeat his fear with the help of his wife and his friends, Sir Henry Irving and Arthur Conan Doyle. The meet up with gypsies and farmers who also share a fear. They must over their fear to learn their bravery. This is an adventure that grabs your attention. Has both intense feelings and heart touching moments. Pick up this book - a great read.

I have read a lot of books about Dracula and I am glad that I had the chance to read this one also. I like the development of the characters and the way P.G Kassel describes what they have to go through. I like the description of the places that they travel to. I think you will like this book also.

This is the second book in a two book series I will get the first one and read them together.

p.s. I did not take me a month to read this, I had to stop a few times due to health issues.

A terrifying read of gore, tension filled action, betrayal and Tepes draw to include Florence in his nest. As PGKessel said “ this is Stoker’s true story”. Stoker loves Florence and along with Doyle and Irving, he sets out to kill the monster and get his Florence back. Thank God for his protection. I received an arc copy of this book and encourage others to read this truth
