Absolutely loved Maxim and Ana’s story. Twist and turns that kept me captivated throughout the entire book. I couldn’t stop reading it until I finished the last word. Chemistry off the charts . I definitely recommend this book to anyone looking for an amazing read

What Would You Do For Love?

Ms. Alice May Ball is an Author that to me is at the top of her craft. Her incredibly riveting and addictive storylines get me time and again. Trust that her latest release is no different.

Within the unique pages of Maxim, you will be as enraptured as myself, with her newest publication. Ana and Maxim are pawns in several Government games and certainly not by choice. I truly try to never to give away any part of a book and I am positive that you will most definitely be completely enthralled from beginning to end, however, this is a tough one to review. If you have a tendency to read suspense, with steamy hot romance/scenes thrown in, then Maxim IS definitely that book. Ana, Maxim, as well as a cast of key, realistic, characters will blow you away. Thank you to Ms. Ball for this book. I am in complete awe of your talent and creativity. There is an unbelievably designed happily ever after to look forward to (besides the overall book itself).

There is nothing more wonderful then a book that can pull you right into the drama and chaos and that is exactly what Ms. Ball has provided again. A complex plot with many layers of meaning and double-crosses that cross back on themselves. This sexy little espionage story reminds me a lot of the Red movie franchise – especially the second one. Maxim and Ana are civilians that have been drawn deep into the world of covert operatives. There are life and death situations, lethal gadgets, unexpected laughs, and instant lust. Maxim is a cocky SOB. Sure of himself, his abilities, and his irresistibility to women. It took me a while to warm up to Ana. She came across as judgemental and a bit of a hypocrite. Nearly all the way to the end, she was still blaming Maxim for things he had no control over and actions where she’d done the exact same thing. Don’t get me wrong, I hate what she goes through in this book, but I found her difficult to love until the eleventh hour.

I have never read Alice May Ball before but if this is any indication of her work then she could fast become a favourite author for me

This is a romantic suspense that has so many twists and turns and double crosses that you are left reeling as you try to solve what is happening in this book. Maxim and Ana have been drawn into a deadly game hey may be civilians but government departments don't care they will use them however they can. Maxim is a total alpha cocky should be his middle name but as he grows to love Ana he will do whatever he need to to protect her. There is plenty of danger and suspense and some quite funny moments in this riveting story that will draw you on and hold you until the very last page

This book grabbed my attention in the prologue and kept it till the end. There were lies, betrayal, espionage, action and suspense. There was immediate attraction between Ana and Maxim, but they both have secrets. In my opinion both Ana and Maxim are hard to like especially at the beginning. Once secrets start being revealed both Ana and Maxim are protective and loyal to their families. It took a long time for each to trust the other. There is a lot of covert things going on, sometimes I got a little confused for me. I was entertained and really enjoyed this book. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced readers copy.

He was forced into something without all the facts. She was on the opposite side but not by choice. They meet in a hide and seek game of espionage, spy games between nations. When they meet it’s instant fire with a passion that burns hotter they either imagined. Now all they have to do is survive. This author doesn’t skimp on the passion and excitement this high octane read provides. It’s a race to the finish and all they want is to be free, together and protected. This author's characters may not always be the type to make you feel all warm and bubbly but they seem to win you over by the last page. Ana is one of those, bless her heart.

Suspense, double-cross, STEAM and so much more!

MAXIM is full of wonderful and quirky characters, a plotline with enough twists and turns that readers need to pay attention, and written in Alice May Ball's easy yet descriptive style. Although not my favourite of author Ball's novels, MAXIM captured my attention quickly and kept it through to the last word. A good read! Happy pages! 😉

Ms. Ball takes her readers on a wild ride through America and Russia with Ana and Maxim. Intrigue. Advanced technology. Kidnapping. Escape. Rescue. Sex. Friends. Spys. Operatives. Government agencies. I enjoyed traveling along with Ana and Maxim. Pawns in a dangerous game. I was almost in tears at the end of the book. No spoilers. You'll ahve to read to find out if the same happens to you! I'm a Ball fan, and this book keeps me in her following.

A fast-moving romance featuring Maxim, a Russian mobster, and Ana. They're opposites in every way but their chemistry is explosive. Hot, sexy and full of suspense and drama. once you start this book you'll find it hard to put down. Well developed, strong characters and engaging storyline. The story is well written. You really have to pay close attention as it is a very detailed storyline with lots of twists.

Maxim and Ana make for an interesting couple and have to navigate thru a lot of dangerous situations.

Loved this read! Maxim and Ana are great characters and their story takes you on a roller coaster ride of action and drama. The story is fast-paced and the chemistry is steamy. Maxim and Ana couldn’t be more different but their story will hook you from beginning to end.

A boring start

I've only given this book 3 stars because it took me a week to get to the interesting bit. Which was about 60% in. I've usually read 4 books in that time. From about 60% things started warming up. It finished on a reasonable high. So not altogether a let down.
