Language of book is quite simple, easy to read and understand.
Writer had tried to invoke something new with the same old concept.
I would suggest you to go for a read, you won't regret it.
If you believe in destiny and love then you must read this book.
Writer had penned beautifully the story, she had tried her best to keep the reader stucked to story.
This is a simple boy-meets-girl-can't-live-happily-ever-after story. It has its moments but then a lot of gaps. The author has tried her best to articulate the passion and pain of love. How true love can endure even though years may pass by without the lovers getting a chance to see each other, much less be together. But a story, that should have come together in the end, that could have been emotional, fails to do so because it has structural issues.
1. There are a lot of typos, grammatical errors and excessive use of the same words. 'Plonked' for instance, has been used far too many times. Minor details like a 'purple' water bottle, serves no purpose at all. It all steals away at the reading experience, to be honest. 2. I couldn't grow attached to either of the main characters. There didn't seem enough of character development. I couldn't identify with their love. I could relate to the parts when they are in pain but I couldn't empathize in their love story. The characters just weren't real enough for me to evoke an emotion. 3. For a story that spans 12 years, there isn't enough matter built in. There is some mystery that the author has introduced in the story but nothing that will surprise or shock you.
I wish there was more to the story. Within the same framework. Just more moments. More depth. More layers. More involvement. This story had the potential to make its readers feel pain, maybe even leave them with a pang in their hearts. And I have to commend the author for trying. I hope she has more books in the works, for even though this book could have used a lot of help with the editor, there is promise and potential in the ideas and imagination of the author.
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ "One day, whether you are 14, 20 or 65, you will stumble upon someone who will start a fire in you that cannot die". Red doesn’t imply love always. Sometimes it portrays the urgency to seek attention to mend the broken. Sensational or shocking. Danger or guilt. But this red is a combination of all. This book centres around a Boy and a girl who meets and falls in love. Like a usual twist, they two break up for their sole reason. 🍀🍀🍀🍀 Anushka, the only daughter of her parents, is a librarian of an esteemed institute but she has a dream of becoming an author. Kaushik, the younger of 2 brothers, is a lecturer of a college in siliguri. Kaushik and Anushka meet in a bank. It was love at first sight. And it takes a rapid turn after Kaushik's bro’s unexpected death. What happens next to their relationship? The pangs of separation tears apart their hearts but they stay firm to the sacrifices made. What happens to them? How fate plays game? Read the book to know how the story unfolds next. 🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀 The best line from the book was - " It is not necessary that two loving hearts will be United in the end. Some are born to sacrifice this pleasure and burn in the pangs of separation forever". The book is written in a very emotional manner. It's short read of only 125 pages. The writing is simple and easy to understand. Language is lucid. Narration is crisp and clear. We have always seen how fate has played important part in someone's life, similarly, here also fate has played a big part. My Rating = 3.5/5 Book Cover is amazing & beautiful. Plot and Characters = 3.5/5 Recommended - yes
It took me just over 3 hours to finish this book. I'd be honest with you, the book is quite good in the length department but maybe my reading speed was at its best. The language was simple to the most part and flow was lucid. I felt the narration could've been much better. With that I mean, the story telling portion felt a bit weird. Nothing negative, just different, maybe not suiting to my style or going around the stories. I wish the font size was a bit larger.
The cover is very simple and something I'd pass as okayish. The story actually gave me a lot of bollywood vibes. If you are into stories where there's pain to reach the love or a ton of pain between love then you should check this out. It was quite predictable, yet I wished there could've been some major twists, or revelations of some sorts...The love at first sight scene here was felt a bit abrupt and weird to me, might not be for you. The story has mature descriptions to some extent, something to keep in mind if you are looking or not looking for that in your romantic reads.
Overall, I enjoyed the read. I'd happily recommend this to someone who wants to try romance for some change and loves the bollywood styled stories more. I wish there were more character descriptions as you tend to misunderstand the characters until a few chapters deep inside. It was a good enjoyable read. It can be a hit or miss for you depending upon your taste in romances.
💚 About the book: 'Loveswept' is a tragic emotional love story of Kaushik and Anushka. Kaushik was a professor in a college, while Anushka was working as a librarian in an Institute. Both met in a bank and fate turned their friendship into love. After being in relationship for few years, a storm ruined their love life that was blossoming perfectly well till this time. Destiny made them part, but their hearts were still ignited with love for each other. Will they be able to meet again, ever? Will their story have a happy ending? . . 💚 My Review: The story was quite relatable and easy to read. It acts as a reality check to some of the deepest feelings like love, sacrifice, pain and longing. In the mid, the story seems somewhat boring and the storyline somehow reminds me of 'The Fault In Our Stars'. Though it can't be compared with the John Green's book, it will definitely make you cry or atleast feel sad as the events unfold. Personally, I believe that some more efforts could've been put in to make the book engaging and a fast read. 💚 Overall, it was good and I recommend it to love story readers.
Like all romance books, this one talks of relationship blocks and unlike all it makes you cry. Something that reminds you of the book the "Fault in Our Starts" but not resembling it - this book holds potential. There are certain points to consider: 1. If you are looking for a unique romance book, this isn't one. The storyteller however has the nerve to keep one reading 2. The story is typical boy loves girl, girl loves boy and they can't marry. What is atypical is the gaps seen in the story when the author is trying to bring them together. Many things are left unsaid and as a reader I think the author could have seen them. Why does Anushka's friend wait for more than a week when she already got Kaushik's number? These kind of gaps could have been looked into 3. In certain places the language needs typo edits 4. The cover is again too typically romance and mundane 5. The character of Kaushik and Anushka could have been better developed especially in context of their jobs and their love for books.
Book - Loveswept Pages - 125 Author - Prasupta Roy Publisher - Half Baked Beans Rating - ⭐⭐⭐/5 . . Review ➡️ This is a love story of two young souls - Anushka and Kaushik. Anushka is dedicated to become a novelist whereas Kaushik is a professor. . . ➡️ The language is simple and some of the instances have been described beautifully. The novel will introduce the reader to culture of West Bengal. Coming to the protagonists, both bonded over the books as they liked literature a lot and I really appreciate author for this. Their love is true and are dedicated towards each other. The character's nature is worth appreciating as they both handled the adverse situation with maturity considering their family as well. . . ➡️ I personally felt that first half of the novel wasn't as engaging as the second half . Some of the instances could have been less descriptive than the other. The part where they confessed love for each other went too fast. It could have been described better. Overall, it's a good read and if you believe in true love then you shouldn't miss this one

Review : To begin with cover is just beautiful. The story begins with a cute love story but as the story unfolds there are many different twists and turns. Story is normal paced and has a unique plot. Storyline is amazing. Writer has written very beautifully and book is very engaging, hence it is definitely a page-turner. Language is easy and hence makes the book very grasping. Starting with cute love-story to turning into mature adults with different responsibilities, The story is very inspiring. The end left me a bit heartbroken but overall I loved this book. If you like reading love stories, this is a must read.
