I love a story that could make me feel a strong attachment towards the character; a story that has an end; a story that teaches, that touches.
I love Subhi -- his characteristics. The confidence he shows or should I say, showed.
He's definitely the epitome of what's not to love.
As much as we wanted to do this world a favor, there's always someone or something we -- by choice or not -- have to leave behind, perhaps even our own selves.
_____
An interesting storyline, didn't drag too long on any certain scene or situation. The uses of terminology wouldn't really disturb a non-medical bg reader like me. Though actually it'd be great if the book comes with a footnote for the medical definition.
I know I should've read Healer as it is, but I can't help my mind to wonder back to Hiatus -- and creat my own edition to the end of Talhah's story, in Healer. And so much more theories that come from the previous books to this one.
I love how the writer came up with the conflicts, that will definitely make me developed a hateful feeling.
Damn I hate Ammar, but I really love how Subhi handled everything. He really didn't give damn much to most things. He's like free-spirited; and an intelligent one.
Baca cerita ni macam dengar kawan kau cerita pasal case yang dia clerk pagi tadi plus gossip-gossip yang dia dengar kat hospital.
Latar kat Malaysia tapi vibe duduk overseas. Serius la hot choc in Malaysia. Lebih-lebih lagi Klang. I'm assuming this is HTAR or HSAS sebab ada part dia pergi date kat tasik Shah Alam.
Dah la harini present case HIV, baca pun buku sedemikian rupa, and still kena buka buku afterwards sebab nak fact check 'cause i'm a dumbass with shits for brain.
Literally bought this because of the BL scene in the first few pages. Sorry not sorry, I was curious that Malaysia would publish this (tho now when I think about it, not that rare since Fixi exist).
But yeah, this was a fun ride. Really like that HO, what was his name again? Ridha? That's tragic, man. And Subhi's comeuppance at the time was cool. Tuhan bayar cash gitu.
This is one story with characters full of conflicting emotion, attitude and moral personality.
Tapi nape..
Lepas habis; 1.semua orang kena hiv (Tak semua, tapi dua. That's two too many.) 2.semua orang emosional. 3.perangai orang ni berubah tiap masa
Lepas ditadah dengan anekdot everyone's life revolves around Subhi, termasuk hidup Subhi, masukkan terjemahan sepotong ayat Quran situ. Pastu, buat kesimpulan, don't judge a book by the story itself... P:Expect your reader to say, "Ah, husnul khatimah." Oh buku ni bagus, dia ajar seburuk Mana perangai, husnul khatimah gais. macam, buku ni teruk, tp ending dia bagus.
The argument between how bad the book is, and how bad the judgement for this book is what I consider as touchè.
Saya rasa awak boleh tulis better than this...i don't think this is mato when i read it...and also siapa raudah? Ade dua kali nama raudah ulang dalam buku ni and u should bagitau awal2 yg selma tu kakak subhi and i think yang awak tulis kalini macam too many things yg awak nak tulis dalam satu masa...and dialog satu je dalam satu perenggan ....tapi ending dia betul2 menusuk kalbu btw good job mato❤️
(No offense)
A doctor writes about doctor's life, works, etc. A musician writes about musician's life, works, etc. And the list goes on.
Dalam buku ni, aku paling suka bila penulis menulis terma-terma perubatan (walaupun aku tak tahu apa benda tu). It makes me want to know more about something which I don't know.
(angkat bahu)
Lagi, aku tak tahu mana datang nama Raudhah (kah). Aku faham tapi sepatutnya editor kena pastikan benda tu tak berlaku. But tsokay. Aku sebagai pembaca masih faham babak tu).
Ending. I don't have any expectation at the beginning sebab tahu penulisan Mato memang aku tak boleh jangka apa akhirnya tapi agak sedih sebab Subhi jadi macam tu. You don't always get what you want, right? Allah knows best.
Really good book. But I'll not suggest this book to underage children. But still, it is a good book. Good job, Mato!
So I bought this book masa first day of pbakl but semalam terus baca in one sitting, while in a bus, after balik from a uni trip. Took less than 2 hours. Haha sanggup guna phonelight dalam bas bila hari makin gelap sbb nak tahu penghujung dia.
Congrats for this refreshingly realistic potrayal of life! What I like is how 'human' your novel characters are. Tiada manusia yang sempurna kinda vibe, which is how real life works and I like that a lot. I like the feeling of glimpsing into someone else's life, which I felt while reading Healer. Mmg rasa 'human' sangat especiallyy bila tengok how Subhi is potrayed. Ada time kita buat dosa, ada time iman kita tak terkejar dgn bicara mulut kita, basically yea, wonderful novel and keep up this potrayal of characters. Buku before2 this pun ada dapat this vibe (just that dulu tak syok sikit sbb banyak questions after baca) but can see that you've improved a lot with Healer. Well done and im proud on your behalf!
Also, super happy this book didn't leave me with questions. It's a beautiful ending, like you mentioned. Tapi bittersweet. Still, it's beautiful and yea mmg kehidupan tak perfect. Best la ada writer mcm you, jenis yg tak tulis happy journey je memanjang. Tak semua writers berani buat cerita yg ada conflicting issues like yours. Enjoyed this work of yours so, so much.
Thanks for giving your readers the chance to be in Subhi's shoes :)
After Karma terus baca this book. Then wau ada chemistry sangat dua buku ni. Serius, after baca buku ni hancur berkecai hati aku. Sebab semua benda tu so hard okey. Then one thing yang aku nak ulang, everyone has their own struggles. Be kind always. Always
Benarlah, bukan setiap masa kita perlu kuat. Dan bukan setiap masa kita mampu merawat. By the way ada jugak nama Dr Iman dgn Dr Faris dalam ni.
Sebab one day kau akan tahu hikmahnya.
Watak Subhi memang buat emosi aku naik turun sungguh. Then untuk karya kali ni something dalam setiap penulisan Mato tu still ada and waiting for your next book Mato! .
Kita cuma perlu percaya.
No one gives all of his heart twice, because the heart which was given once never comes back intact.
Rezeki.
Subhi. Nama yang agak klasik sebenarnya tapi aku tak boleh get over betapa confidentnya watak ni. Kagum dengan ketabahan dia menghadapi realiti macam “Kanser? Oh okay. Aku still nak kahwin gak.” Hasil pengalaman dari waktu lalu. “Just throw lemons at me, life aha!”
Happy sebab nama watak utama perempuan sama haha walaupun berbeza karakter.
Overall, it’s a good shift from the usual theme. Thanks mato for this writing piece.

My first book that I bought at PBAKL 2019. I love the cover and obviously the content too. Sisi matang penulisan seorang Mato. • Subhi life’s seems simple but yet there’s a lot of things that he has to put on, especially his feelings. His survival from his past. He’s afraid of his dark past that haunted him, making he lose Dr Fatin once. How I wish if Mato can write more in detail about what happen on his dark past, the lembaga hitam that haunted him while he performed a surgery, and obviously I hate Ammar too 🙄, and sad part about Dr Ridha. • I saw others wrote that they didn’t expect the ending be like, but I actually like it and I hope that I one day I dapat pengakhiran yg cantik macam tu. I mean siapa tak nak kan? You’ll manage to change for good kot. Like baru balik masjid usai solat sunat, solat jemaah and... For me it’s a beautiful ending even in a reality people seeing it as its actually sad...?🤔 • Worth reading. I want to write moreeeee tapi takut jadi spoiler😅. Recommended for you to buy and to be add in your own collection ❤️
This book was very well written and different from his previous book .From the front page, we know this book will tell about the medical profession. When reading this book,u will know the real deal of being a doctor. They have ability to heal others but not in theirselves because self-healing is almost always harder than healing others. There are many aspects you can learn from this book.HEALER is also humorous so it's not boring
Love it! Another masterpiece from Mato hehe I love how imperfect the main character is,i mean its realistic, yes Subhi is a very talented surgeon but at the same time he has his own personal conflicts within himself,i believe semua readers can relate to it
Satu je Mato,i really hope after this, maybe kalau ada cetakan kedua ke,maybe boleh correct the spelling errors and the Raudah part yg tersalah tulis tu hehe tak sabar nak tunggu cerita Raudah pula!
Ada banyak rasa bila baca buku ni. I love how Dr. Subhi handled his patients. Just one thing, don't play with people's heart. But whatever it is, you did a great job, Mato. Thank you, you saved my life today. Really. Things have been so tough for me these few days. I want to dm you but I know you're not noticing me so I'll just leave this here to let you know your masterpiece just saved a person today.
It's very well written and I took a day to finish the book. I feel like wanting to read it all over again. This book made me realize that not all story ends with a happy ending. Thank you Mato for this great work of yours.

It is okay to have a sad ending life because.. everyone will feel the sad at the end of the day and try to survive in no matter what.. hidup ini kerana Allah, bukan kerana manusia ataupun tempat, mcm ayat klise tapi, itulah kenyataan yg kita sllu lupa dan harapkan sstu tanpa kita sedar..
Tulisan Mato semuanya terbaik. Buku ini tidak terkecuali. Aku suka sebab kali ini ada ending. "Benarlah, bukan setiap masa kita perlu kuat. Dan bukan setiap masa kita mampu merawat." Aku tunggu kelahiran Maktub je.
the content of this book is really good and wonderful 😍 keep it up Mato 💪🏻 a nice storyline and this book has taught me that we have to sabr in what we does ✨ Healer is the best 💯
Suka watak subhi dlm cerita ni. And actually tak sabar nak tahu kisah ammar at the end of the story tapi tak de. Btw, penulisan mato kali ni sumpah awesome sedih lak tu pengakhiran cerita ni. 😭😭😭
aku koyak baca part Ammar. ahahaha. tapi betul do, kawan camtu mmg wujud. unexpected ending. part ending tu aku nangis jugak. btw, buku ni mmg best. aku suka penulisan mato. keep it up bro!
Baca healer ni 2 jam lebih je and my feelings bercampur aduk..jalan cerita yang menarik. Your happy ending in that story makes me crying hmmm..waiting for your next book
