A fast-paced, somewhat parodic, full-colour manga adaptation of Alice in Wonderland by Sakura Kinoshita.

Although I have not read much by this author, whenever I have, I was in love with her humour and art style. Her art is both gorgeous and fun. For one thing, I love how she illustrates with Copic markers! It is a beautiful and vivid style with great shading technique. The characters themselves look adorable and she handles comical expressions so very well!

I instantly had to grab this book when I heard it was coming out - even if just for the art! Considering that it is in full-colour, it is almost like an art book (and again, the art is gorgeous!!).
But Kinoshita's humour makes it a fun read as well. She pokes a little fun at the original and its absurdness. Her chibi style is perfect for this! With hilarious expressions and comments of the characters, this is sure to be a fun (and fast!) ride through Wonderland!

Alice has a new design in every chapter. I wondered about that for a long time until I showed it to one of my teachers. Her idea was that it reflects how the novel Alice struggles with her own personality. Whether or not that is the real reason for the constant design change, I can't say. But it is one way to think of it, I suppose.

This is a beautiful and fun adaptation and a fan of either the original or manga should give it a shot!

Muito bonita a arte, o mangá inteiro é todo colorido e o charme dele é que a cada capítulo, Alice muda de cabelo e de roupa, gostei muito desse conceito. Agora as partes negativas; o mangá é extremamente curto, li tudo num peido, por mais que a arte seja bonita, a história se desenvolve de maneira tediosa, maçante, demorada, etc, etc.. o mangá tem muitos quadros, parecendo que tudo está perto demais deixando quem lê, sem fôlego.

Thought the art style would be as pretty as the cover. I did not like the 'funny' adaptation.
