An attack on America’s electrical grid. A terrorist onslaught. A city on the brink of collapse. One man will stand his ground. Emergency service worker David Vaughn cares deeply for his neighbors, the people of New York City, so when Iran detonates an electromagnetic pulse and takes out the grid, he feels obligated to stay and help the survivors in the lawless aftermath. But surrounded by chaos and carnage, it’s only a matter of time before his helping hands harden into vengeful fists. As a second wave of destruction looms, David partners with local Mossad agents to destroy the terrorists’ headquarters. But with the window of escape from Manhattan closing and friends dying all around him, he fears his altruism may have only sealed everyone’s fate in blood. Can David serve up justice before his quest for revenge gets him and his friends killed? E.M.P. NYC is the second book in the action-packed All At Once post-apocalyptic adventure series. If you like survivalist adventures, dystopian cityscapes, and gutsy heroes fighting incredible odds, then you’ll love Cal Wilson’s edge-of-your-seat thriller.
This isn't the type of book I usually read. I tend to shy away from violence. And this book is violent! Everything from a woman who throws a knife with killer accuracy to a nuclear explosion taking out terrorists by the dozens. It is also an absolutely riveting book, one that keeps you wondering what is going to happen next. And whatever does happen is probably worse than you imagined! It's also a book that gives a vey real warning about what may happen to our society if we ever come under an EMP attack. Well worth reading.
Writers have been saying this for years now and Cal does a great job of putting it all on the table. One second after is too late to get your act together. The answers are all here. Get out of Dodge, have a place to survive, and most importantly have a group to be a part of. Add the Civil Defense Book to your list. We are working on plan B because survival is only the first step. The next and most important step is being able to sustain your group in the future. Like the wagon trains to the west in the 1850’s, if you didn’t bring it don’t need it.
Another well written book! This author always writes a book with a great story plot, believable characters, action, good morals and a lot of the bad people get their just reward! It's worth the READ!
