Maine Sullivans #2

There Goes My Heart

Rate this book
Rory Sullivan, a renowned artisan woodworker, has no plans to fall in love anytime soon. Especially not with Zara Mirren, who shares a converted warehouse space with him in Bar Harbor, Maine. While she is a brilliant maker—the eyeglass frames she designs are practically works of art—everything else about her drives him bonkers. The way she’s always whistling cheesy pop songs off-key. The way her half-drunk cups of coffee litter every available countertop. And especially the way he can’t take his eyes off her whenever she enters a room…or stop thinking about her after she leaves.

Zara loves everything about her career—designing and manufacturing bright, fun glasses frames fulfills both the creative and technical sides of her brain. The only downside to coming to work is bumping into irritating, far-too-handsome-for-his-own-good Rory Sullivan…even if she secretly enjoys the zingers they throw at each other. On the plus side, thinking up new ways to torment Rory on a daily basis has helped Zara stop dwelling on the fact that her ex-boyfriend cheated on her with her stepsister.

But when Zara learns that her ex and her stepsister have just become engaged, she’s doubly stunned by Rory’s suggestion to go as her pretend boyfriend to their engagement party, in a one-night truce where they’ll be a team rather than adversaries. Only, when it turns out that the sparks between them disguise a deeper passion—and bigger emotional connection—than either has ever known, will both Rory and Zara end up losing their hearts to the last person they could have imagined?

Bella Andre always makes her stories interesting and romantic. There Goes My Heart was no different. Rory and Zara’s story was heart-warming and sweet and exactly what I have come to expect from her.

We met Rory and Zara in Your Love is Mine and you knew that there had to be some kind of a connection between the two of them. There is a fine line between love and hate and Rory and Zara prove that. Their one night turns into a week. That’s their deal. Now, it’s up to Rory to convince Zara that not all men are her ex’s. Not all men just want to get to her sister. That she’s bright, talented and beautiful and the woman he want’s to spend the rest of his life with. But, Rory’s mom brings up memories that brings Zara to her knees. She doesn’t think that she deserves to be loved but Rory won’t give up on her.

I loved how they went from enemies to friends. I loved how Rory was the knight in shining armor. But, he’s a Sullivan and they have proved to be nothing if not chivalrous. Zara was so full of self—doubt and he knew just what to do to boost her up, to show her how talented she was and that she was worth his love.

Bella Andre writes some of the most beautiful romance stories I have read. She knows how to keep a story moving and she always writes her characters in a way that you feel like you know them. I haven’t read a Bella Andre book that I haven’t loved and I don’t expect to be disappointed with any of her stories.

We’re back in Bar Harbor with Bella Andre and the Maine Sullivans! THERE GOES MY HEART is Rory and Zara’s book. When Zara learns that her ex and her stepsister are getting married, she goes to find some comfont in drinks. That is where Rory finds her and tries to help her.

Instead of going to face her ex and stepsister alone, he volunteers to be her fake boyfriend in order to fool them. To be honest, I’m not usually a big fan of this kind of trope just because it often comes off as too cliché. But I did like the chemistry and romance between the two. They had really good banter so I definitely wished that the premise was a little more original. The whole proposition happens quite quickly, which makes the book go by pretty fast. I would’ve loved to see Andre slow things down a bit more so we could savor the romance a bit more.

Nevertheless, THERE GOES MY HEART is a quick, fun read. I like that Andre incorporates so much of what we love of the Sullivans. But I am also hoping to see some more new ideas in the future books so we have something to be excited about too.

There goes my heart was the second book in Bella Andre’s Maine Sullivans series. It was the twentieth Sullivan book overall.

Rory Sullivan was one of seven siblings. He was an artist; a furniture maker. He was gorgeous, funny and artistic. We learned in book one, Your Love Is Mine, that he had a nemesis where he shared work space with other artists. Enter Zara.

Zara Mirren was a quirky, funny, sassy eye glass creator. She turned wearing glasses into a form of art. She loved bantering with Rory and getting under his skin with her antics.

I loved the hint of them in the previous book, their zing bantering and enjoyed getting to know them. They each had baggage that had to be addressed and Andre slowly peeled back the layers.

It was well written and well developed and of course contained all of the Maine Sullivan siblings for us to continue get to know as their stories will unfold. It was also a quick, sweet and sexy read. It wasn’t an exciting or action packed read - but more of a slow and steady plot. With two snarky personalities, I expected just a bit more; however, as a Sullivan series fan, I still enjoyed it. For me, it was 3.5 stars, which rounded up to a 4 on this rating site.

There are five more siblings to go and I can’t wait to see who Andre reveals next.

Another great Sullivan book by Bella Andre! I love how sensitive Rory is to others needs. He is also not bad to look at. I felt bad for Zara and how her ex boyfriend and step sister treated her. Even though they are insensitive to Zara’s feelings, Zara is still loyal to her step sister. Since her step sister is a beauty and always takes Zara’s boyfriends, Zara thinks she is plain. I loved how Rory and Zara got on each other’s nerves. But, was it because they couldn’t stand each other, or because they both had a connection? This is a feel good love story that I strongly encourage you to read. I voluntarily read an Advanced Reader’s Copy of this book.

I loved every single moment of There Goes My Heart written by Bella Andre. Zara and Rory's beautiful story was a wonderful addition to the amazing Sullivan series. I was pulled in from page one and didn't want to put my kindle down until I finished their story. This was one of the most beautiful and emotional stories I've ever read from Bella Andre and it is now my new favorite.

So Rory and Zara have always had a bit of a tumultuous relationship, though I wouldn't call them actual enemies, they really weren't friends before this story started. While both artists, they seemed to rub each other the wrong way most of the time. However, when Zara learns her stepsister is now engaged to her ex, Rory steps up to go as her pretend boyfriend to the engagement party. I knew in my heart there was something special between these two besides animosity. I loved they each seemed to open up to one another about things in their pasts neither had really shared with anyone else. Rory continued to blame himself for his ex having an accident after they broke up, and Zara still blames herself for her mom's death. I loved they each could so easily see how the other wasn't in the wrong, yet it required much introspection to see it about themself.

Rory and Zara had the best chemistry. They connected so well from the moment they shared their first kiss. OMG it only got hotter from there. I loved they pretty much wanted to spend all their time together after. I honestly fell in love with them as a couple right along with them realizing they had fallen in love. I loved that Rory's family accepted Zara so quickly into their circle. I won't lie; I bawled like a baby when Zara was with Rory's mom and got so emotional about her own mom not being alive. So freaking emotional!!! Add in what Rory does to show Zara how much he loves her, and I was seriously crying like a baby. I loved this beautiful and emotional ride.

There Goes My Heart was an absolutely amazing story! Bella Andre has been an auto-buy author for me from the moment I read the very first book in the Sullivan series, and I've never missed another book. Ms. Andre writes beautiful romances that pull at my heart every single time. While there are always sweet moments between the couples in her books, there is also plenty of heat as well. There Goes My Heart is another winner from Bella Andre and I can't recommend it highly enough.

There Goes My Heart is the latest story regarding the Sullivan’s. Rory is one of the Maine Sullivan’s & is just as tough & alpha as all of the others. He feels that he has hurt every women he’s ever had a relationship with. Even though he tells them he isn’t ready to settle down, they all think they can change his mind. After the last one got drunk when they broke up & hurt herself tripping on a curb, both her & her best friend blamed him for her getting hurt. Rory believed them & decided on no more relationships. Only one night stands going forward.

Zara works in the same warehouse that Rory does. From the beginning they have struck sparks off each other. They are constantly arguing & trying to one up each other. Zara is as determined as Rory to avoid relationships. Her step sister stole her boyfriend away. Every time she was interested in someone, when she took them home & they caught sight of her sister, it was the end of them. When she was unable to get out of attending her sister’s engagement party, Rory offered to go with her as long as it was only for one night, not a real relationship.

I love this story! The snarky comebacks & one up man ship often conceals deeper emotions that people try to hide rather than deal with. This really made this story! Both Rory & Zara had obstacles to overcome before they could move forward with their relationship. Rory needed to accept that his girlfriends were responsible for their own hurt since they ignored his feelings. Zara needed to come to terms with her mother’s death & her situation with her step sister. You really need to read this one!

ARC for honest review with no compensation

There Goes My Heart is book 2 of the Maine Sullivan’s and book 20 in the Sullivans series by Bella Andre and a swoon worthy read about Rory and Zara!

Zara and Rory have been working in the same artisan building for the past year, she makes designer glasses frames and he does woodworking and getting on each other’s last nerve. Lots of bantering, bickering and sparks but both are down on love and HEA. Zara moved to Bar Harbor over a year ago after her sister and her boyfriend at the time decided to get together...now she received notification that they are engaged so she decided to get tipsy and spill on what happened to Rory. He decides to go with her to the engagement party for moral support and they become a “pretend couple”...except with sparks flying, a deeper passion, undercurrent that’s been ignored and an emotional connection that’s been ignored they might just turn the “pretend” into a “real” couple and find their HEA when they least expect it!

Funny, steamy, bantering, tears and emotions galore makes you want to keep reading til it done!!

I love, love, love There Goes My Heart. From the sweet dedication (to me and to all the girls with glasses) all the way to the hopeful Epilogue. Bella's books, especially the Sullivans, are always happy reads for me. These stories of romantic love mixed with love for family strike a chord in my heart.

Zara and Rory are fantastic as sniping co-tenants turned fake dating to real lovers. Their back-and-forth dialogues made me smile the entire time I was reading. I love that they're both creative. I absolutely adore their unwavering support of one another in their work, against other people who've hurt them, and in working through their internal conflicts. I love it that there wasn't much push and pull. When Rory declared his love for Zara, she did not play hard-to-get and told him right away she loved him back. I also appreciated that the "antagonists" are not truly bad people.

With twenty-four books in the series, the Sullivans continue to enthrall. I am excited to read the next five in the Maine spin-off. Hopefully, Bella considers an Asian partner for one of them. How about Brandon who's coming from Singapore? Would really love to see some multicultural pairings in the future.

There goes my heart ♥ again and again with another Sullivan and this time with Rory my artistic woodmaker who lives in a lighthouse.. Being girl who wears glasses 👓 I can see myself with Zara a girl who carries a lot of burden and guilt in her heart good thing she found Rory who never gives up and make her realize that she needs to let go and find love..
I would have like to see Zara talking with his father about her mother as a closure and I am not satisfied how things ended with the step sister but overall a good story..
Can't wait for the rest of the Maine crew specially Lola!! ❤️
The 20th booked and we are still hooked..

Another absolute Bella Andre Sullivan winner of a book. The love and characterizations of each Sullivan finding their romance makes all these books a joy to read. This book revolves around the “Maine” Sullivans, and Rory in particular. One of the 7 children of Beth and Ethan. He and Zara were great characters with lots of healing to do for both of them. Rory was going to keep his heart locked up forever, and Zara felt as if she didn’t deserve happiness. However put the two of them together and add “Chocolate cake” and the romance bloomed! Bella Sullivan is a one click author for me, and she never disappoints.

Omg!! I love this story. Rory is sexy, with a heart of gold, but working in the same warehouse as Zara, is driving him crazy. They seem to get on each others last nerve, but is it hiding something deeper. Rory is an artisan woodworker and Zara designed glasses frames, both are amazing at what the do. When Rory finds Zara, drunk and in tears, he can't just leave her, it turns out her sister is marrying her ex boyfriend and it makes her sad. Rory being the sweetheart he is, he offers to be her date for the wedding and then the sparks start to fly. They decide to spend the week together, then end things as friends. But things don't quite work out that way. I love a good enemies to lovers book and this is at the top of my list.

I am so in love with my Rory, I’m claiming him as one of my absolute favourite Sullivans in the Sullivan universe. He’s a furniture designer and he stole my heart. He’s sweet, he’s funny, and he does have his own hangups about love. The fact that he has those hangups is what endears me more to him because it shows he’s vulnerable and flawed.

Zara, she has a lot of pain over the fact that she has to attend a wedding of her exboyfriend marrying her stepsister. Awkward. Despite this though, I think it was a sign for her. She and Rory made a plan to properly ‘date’ for a week so they could sell it to the family. The following part of the story is a rollercoaster, but one worth reading.

For me Bella has done it again, she’s made me fall more in love with the Sullivan universe. I am so glad that I discovered her books because I can’t imagine not loving her books. I do have to say that the way the story was paced did at times feel a bit slow but overall I liked it and I’m excited for the next instalment.

Rory... and Zara starts magic.

Boy did we see that coming. Lol, Rory and Zara hate to love series was funny and smoking Hot! 🥵 Rory a furniture maker and Zara an eyewear Designer shared a warehouse with other up and coming artist. The funny thing was they drive each other crazy most day. Until they no longer driving each other crazy 😂😂. They both had prior relationship and afraid of sharing their hearts. This story line is great and the sex was smoking. The Maine Sullivan’s are awesome too.

Time to return to Bar Harbor, Maine to visit with the Sullivans. I just love a big family saga. This family will steal your heart because they have support, love, and respect each and every one of their siblings along with their parents. All members of the Sullivan family are not only great looking but their beauty is not just skin deep. Every character that Bella Andre creates in this series has strength, courage, beauty (not just on the outside), and innate sense of caring/helping others when the need arises whether the character is a Sullivan or not. There Goes My Heart by Bella Andre is Rory and Zara’s story. For a year now Rory and Zara have been irritating/sparring with each because they thought they really disliked the other but, in reality they were beginning to fall for each other without realizing it. Rory is a master woodworker while Zara designs very fashionable and unique eyeglass frames. Rory finds Zara one morning pretty tipsy in their buildings’ breakroom. Turns out Zara was reacting to her step-sisters engagement announcement to her ex-boyfriend. Rory learns several personal things about Zara and decides to step in to help. They decide to be a pretend couple to show Zara’s step-sister and ex-boyfriend that she has moved on. As Zara and Rory spend time with each other that night and the next week they both begin to realize that they are falling for each other pretty hard. Both, Rory and Zara have some pretty deep scars that they must face and overcome before their HEA is possible. Will they face those fears to find their forever happiness or will the wall of fear stay standing? Read There Goes My Heart to find out. I love this series and total recommend any Bella Andre book for a fun read/escape into another world where HEAs are always possible. I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review. If you love big family sagas, hot alphas, strong/beautiful women, then you will enjoy this book by Bella Andre. 5 stars*****

There Goes My Heart
The Maine Sullivan’s
Bella Andre
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Ahhh it’s been a while but my heart is so happy now, another Sullivan finds their perfect partner. I adored Zara and Rory, they are so normal…. And from someone who comes from a huge family I loved their camaraderie for each other. It the biggest and bestest (is that even a word, oh well when cares) Zara was so normal. She’s of course is beautiful but that face wears glasses, and it’s just not something you read anymore… she’s really a beautiful soul, with a past that brings tears to your eyes. After the death of her mum as a teenager, a step sister who cheated with your ex and are now getting married she’s in a world of hurt – Enter Rory Sullivan.

Rory is a sexy man there is no doubt about that. He’s owner of an artisan woodwork business and is bloody fantastic at what he does…. It in a shared warehouse with other company owners, one in particular drives him crazy. Zara Mirren constantly annoys him, stealing his car park gives attitude, they’re certainly not friends. But one morning will open a new experience for Rory. After walking in and finding Zara well on her way to a drunk stupor, he finds a woman in the depths of desperation, and he crazily puts his hand up to attend the engagement of her step sister and ex boyfriend.

Beginning a pretend relationship is one thing, pulling it off is totally different. But it’s the real feelings that both have but would prefer to ignore, that change everything they know in one night. Zara is raw it is obvious and Rory wants to the man to fix it. He himself had his own relationship scars and shockingly it is Zara who comes to his aid. They say opposites attract, and in a humorous and sexy story, Zara will see what she’s worth, and Rory will discover his forever, if he can get through her thick pigheadedness.

Such a beautiful, sexy and sweet story that Bella is sooooo good at writing.

PHENOMENAL!!! Pure and simply put, phenomenal. I have been hooked on the Sullivan series by Bella Andre for a very long time. I know over the past few years my dearest wish is to become a member of the Sullivan family, and the latest release by Bella Andre, There Goes My Heart has brought that thought more to heart. I just love that every Sullivan is always there for another family member, no matter what.
Rory Sullivan and Zara Mirren are absolutely perfect together. I love their history, and I think that this is what made them perfect together. They just feed off the other, and in my opinion, the sniping… just a precursor for what was to come. Sorry Ladies, I do not want to give anything away, but I still think Brittany is an uncaring b….er a witch!!
One of my favorite things about this story was seeing Baby Ruby again, has done it again… Stolen some of the show and made the one more aspect of the story wonderful. I think she brought Rory and Zara closer to each other.
I was gifted with a copy of this wonderful book for my reading pleasure, and I cannot wait for it to be also released in audio form so I can purchase it and listen to this wonderful book over and over again, just like the rest of the series!!!!
Thank you, Ms. Andre for sharing your phenomenal writing talents with your readers. I cannot tell you the hours and hours of reading pleasure you and your books have given me over the last few years.
Thank you for reading my review. I really believe you can’t go wrong purchasing this book. I know you will enjoy it as much as I have.

Romance So Sweet!

Bella Andre has created a wonderful world with the Sullivans and this family is just freaking amazing!

In the latest of the Sullivan Series (The Maine Sullivans), There Goes My Heart, we learn more about Rory who is wood artist creating amazing furniture and I just found him and his profession to be so sexy. Rory is a family guy with a heart of gold and lives in a wonderful lighthouse. He just made me all gooey.

Zara is also an artist. She creates unique frames for glasses. She’s a bit quirky, strong and well, she has spent the past year sparing with Rory since they work in a shared warehouse.

Rory, being the perfect prince charming comes quickly to Zara’s rescue when she finds herself in a bind and the story takes off from there. I won’t give any more details because you just gotta read the story. It’s a fast and fun read with family, snarky comments, crazy situations and crazy exs.

If you’ve ever read Bella Andre before you know she writes sweet romances with characters that overcome personal odds. This is another great Sullivan read that I’ve fallen in love with.

Please note that you can read each Sullivan book as a standalone, but I think once you read one, you will want to binge on the entire family.

I received an Advanced Reader Copy of this novel. I am voluntarily and freely providing an honest review.

There went my heart. Bella Andre has done it again. She has taken two people, lost and alone, and made them perfect together. She had my heart beating faster with every touching moment. I gushed. I sighed. I cried. So many wonderful emotions packed into this wonderful story of two talented Maine Makers.

Rory Sullivan creates gorgeous works of art out of wood. He pours his heart and soul into each and every piece leaving nothing for a woman. He couldn't. He wouldn't. There was no way he was getting involved with a woman. He couldn't handle it. Not again.

Zara Mirren has a shop in the same warehouse as Rory Sullivan's woodwork. She creates frames for eyeglasses, beautiful, unique, special. She keeps herself busy, protected, not seeing the world as she creates a way for others to see the world through her designs.

Rory and Zara have been bickering, nagging, complaining, antagonizing each other for the past year. They are oil and water, under the same roof, crossing paths poking each other. The day Rory walks in on Zara crying everything changes. Rory acts without thinking. His heart is in control and he doesn't even know it.

What a rush!! I thoroughly enjoyed watching their armors tarnish and crack. I loved how they thought they could prevent the future when they couldn't control their pasts. I have known so many Rorys and Zaras. To be honest I have been a little like them and maybe that is what is the best about this book. The reader can identify. The characters survived giving us all hope for a better, brighter tomorrow.

Second time around was even better.

I literally could not put this book down. Hubby wanted to watch a movie and I was on the last chapter and stated NO, I have to finish the book. I have loved every Sullivan book I have read and just love the way the author writes but this one was so much fun, exciting, sexy and where do I find a Rory Sullivan for myself? Talk about your dream man...I really don’t think there is anyone out there that can top him. The author did a great job in developing the two main characters Rory Sullivan and Zara Mirre. Their back and forth teasing each other was so cute. I love the way they both had issues to deal with and found a way to deal with them with the help of each other. The Sullivan family is so loving and the way everyone wishes their family was. The story line was simple; both had issues, didn’t want or feel they should be loved, they do something for the week-end and in the end realize the feelings they both had for each other was more than a week-end. It might be a simple plot but the author makes every page interesting, fun and wonderful. Yes, this is one of my top favorite contemporary romance books I’ve read. Well, maybe not since I feel the same way about the other Sullivan family books. You can read this as a standalone and once you read it, you’ll be reading all the others. I can’t wait for more of the Sullivans.

**Received an ARC in exchange for an honest review**

"There Goes My Heart" is written by Bella Andre, and it part of The Sullivans Book series. It can be read as a stand-alone book. It features Rory Sullivan and Zara Mirren.

This was a nice quick read for me. Rory and Zara are both artists, who work in the same work place at a converted warehouse.

One day, Rory finds Zara moping and drunk. He asks her what's the celebration and she tells him that her stepsister, Brittany, and her ex are now engaged. Zara caught them together less than a year ago. Despite Rory and her always bickering, Rory doesn't like Zara in this state, so he suggests to Zara that he will be her date to the engagement party. Zara is reluctant at first, but she goes along with his plan.

But what happens when one night of pretend feels all too real? What happens when they decide to make it a week longer? Will love win out?

One thing that I enjoyed about this story is that you see their relationship and their feelings really grow. You want to root for them. The people around Rory and Zara were not surprised when they actually started dating. They've always had that energy and chemistry around them.

Another great story by Bella Andre! Looking forward to her next installment!

THERE GOES MY HEART (Sullivan’s #20, Maine Sullivan’s #3)

AUTHOR: BELLA ANDRE

FIVE FULL STARS

The Sullivan’s……sigh!!! What is not to love about the Sullivan’s!! I have read all of the Sullivan books and every book was magnificent. Bella Andre has done a remarkable job bringing this family to life. It is like being a part of their loving family. The Sullivan clans are extremely close with an unbreakable bond. Always there to lend a helping hand. The Sullivan men are sexy, successful, intelligent, handsome, chivalrous and really close to perfect. Swoon!!

THERE GOES MY HEART continues with the Sullivan’s of Maine. Rory, another hot Sullivan gentleman. Zara Mirren, a talented, spunky eyeglass maker.

When their worlds collide, neither of them are looking for romance. Their banter is humorous and grows into much more. Rory volunteers to be her date for her stepsister and ex’s engagement party and their chemistry is undeniable.

Don’t miss this heart racing romance. And…..it you haven’t read this series yet, do yourself a favor and start from the beginning. You won’t regret a minute.

Another sweet, sensual, romantic success for Bella Andre. This can be read as a standalone. I do think if you read the previous book, you will get a better sense of how Rory and Zara were so antagonistic working in the same general space.

I liked Zara. She was creative, smart, and sassy. I did think it was strange that she reacted to her sister like she did based on their situation. By the time the book ends, you understand her vulnerability and from where it comes.
I liked Rory also. He would like about how wonderful he was, but with Zara, you could see that hint of vulnerability. Zara helped Rory come to terms with his past, just as he helped her.

The Sullivan family rallied around again with all of the love, loyalty, and support anyone could ask for in life. I also found it interesting that both Rory's ex and Zara's sister benefited from Rory and Sara being together. Some healing did finally occur. Rory and Zara were sarcastic, witty, sexy, and full of fun. I enjoyed the parts were they were with Ruby.

Zara and Rory do end up with their HEA, and you will end up with a smile. definitely 4.5 stars.

I voluntarily offered to review this book with no obligations and my opinions are honest!
This was a great book !
Zara + Rory share spaces in a converted warehouse.
They love to bicker with each other.
Zara's sister is getting married to her ex-boyfriend, and Zara is having a little pity party for herself.
Does she really want to go alone to the engagement party ?
Enter Rory Sullivan, the bane of her existence.
He offered to be her plus one to the engagement party.
Zara is reluctant, but she agrees in the end. Why not ?
Close proximity leads to both of them taking a chance at each other.
Start with a simple kiss, then it blew into full attraction.
Who knew that they might end up liking each other ?
Totally loved this sweet and charming read.
Loved the characters + the storytelling !
It has all the ingredients that you need for a great book!
I can't wait for the next book in this series.

Every time Bella Andre comes out with a new Sullivan book, I get giddy. There Goes My Heart has all of the typical Andre hallmarks we've come to expect: sexy hero, strong heroine, swoon-worthy romance, humor, emotional storyline, deep family roots and the perfect happily-ever-after ending. Rory Sullivan is the perfect hero----he encompasses everything that romance readers look for in a main character and then some. He made me swoon something fierce! I also loved Zara---she's strong and independent with a wickedly fun sense of humor. The witty banter between Rory and Zara was thoroughly entertaining and super entertaining! I loved the family connections that we once again experienced throughout. The Sullivans are the epitome of the perfect family and I love their relationships with one another. Andre created the perfect story for Rory and Zara and I can't wait to see who gets the next book in the Maine Sullivan series! 5 stars

Received an ARC and voluntarily reviewing.......

I really enjoyed this book, mainly because it had a huge focus on Rory and Zara's relationship with minimal interference from his parents and siblings (unlike the previous Maine Sullivan book where I felt they were just TOO involved and intrusive). While the book is mostly lighthearted, my heart broke for Zara when I found out her backstory and I wanted to give her a big hug. I also liked how her stepsister was written. It would be so easy to make her just a one dimensional evil stepsister, but I liked that there was an explanation given for her extremely misguided motives. I would have loved to see more of her actually, given that her upcoming wedding is pretty much what sets the plot of the book in motion. It also would have been nice to see more of their parents because I feel like there were some unresolved issues there that weren't really addressed.

Still a great book overall, so far, Rory is my favorite Maine Sullivan.

‘There Goes My Heart’ is another great addition to the Sullivans and is book 2 of the Sullivans of Main series.
From the moment they are introduced sparks fly between Rory Sullivan and Zara Mirren, who are both talented artists in different mediums. Rory is a well known artisan
woodmaker and Zara is a designer of glasses frames. They share space in a converted warehouse with other artists, but they are the two constantly at war with each other and refusing to back down in an argument.
As they spend more time together, and understand their pasts that have shaped them into the person they are, these two spirited artists can’t help but fall in love. With appearances from the other Sullivan siblings and especially Cassie, Flynn and Ruby this is another gripping story from start to finish!
I can’t wait for more Sullivans!

I loved this book. It’s such a joy experiencing how Rory comes to Zara’s rescue. They didn’t think they really liked each other, they knew each other at the warehouse they worked at. But they do admire each other’s crafts. Loved how the sparks did fly once they kissed. But can they be more to each other? Does she believe in a happy ever after? Can he convince her to become a real couple? Loved how they helped each other heal with their issues in the past, very heartwarming. I voluntarily read an advanced readers copy and I highly recommend this book.
