Her historical novel, COUNTING ON GRACE was chosen as a Notable Book of the Year by the American Library Association, the National Council of Social Studies, the International Reading Association and the Children’s Book Council among others. The novel has also been nominated for state book awards in Vermont, Virginia, Kentucky, Kansas, Missouri,Indiana, Hawaii and Arizona.

THE CASTLE IN THE ATTIC and its sequel, THE BATTLE FOR THE CASTLE, were nominated for twenty-three state book awards and are considered children’s fantasy classics.

La divertida historia de 5 ratas que para lograr el sueño que llevan en sus venas de bailar en el "Boom Boom Room", tienen que superar los obstáculos que se les presenten y complementarse unos con otros con sus defectos y virtudes para avanzar en su camino, y ¿por qué no? lograr si es posible un sueño aún mas ambicioso.
Sus 224 páginas llevan una juvenil historia que va acompañada de valores importantes; los 5 hermanos Benny, Fletcher, Ella, Woody y Monk, me hicieron pasar con mis hijos unos divertidos momentos camino a su escuela. Sencillez y alegría en la lectura. AJ

this book is fun and it has a pretty good and exiting story to is. its a fun book to read.

Amusing for the 8 - 10 year old set. Some intriguing details about the Rat Hollow (a special rat world underneath NYC) but no character development. No emotional impact.
