Very few of us can afford a monthly massage, especially if you work hard or work odd hours. However, if you and your partner each learn what it takes to soothe the other's ills, they'll appreciate you for life. Of course, the massage therapist will always know things you do not, but what you can do for one another will help AND introduce a certain level of intimacy too.

Great job. I am glad for the many tips and glimpses into this new world of massage. A terrific place to start.

"Dummies" Books have all the best and worst of self-educational books or me.
On the one hand it was entertaining, down to basics and and really started low. On the other hand it got you to just read along, never doing anything and turning the pages.
I give it still 4 stars as I used some of the techniques in there and they were all very well received. But you really don't have to read the book for that, just 10 pages.

(THIS IS FOR 2nd EDITION)
This book is very good for soon to be Massage Therapists. Read this before you actually start school. I'd skip chapter one. More "For Dummies" chapter 1's are almost always just an Introduction (which in my opinion are boring). The authors have funny and informative stories throughout the book, which keeps you interested. Lots of tips!
