Justin is travelling 4,000 miles to see Gabriel for a booty call, they have lots of sex, they do some sightseeing and even have s date night but of course these two always find trouble or trouble finds them.
This fills the gap nicely until the second book in the Exit Strategy series is released.
I enjoyed this quick, short story about Gabriel and Justin. Since the end of the first book, Gabriel has been off trying to fix things in his life in order to end the mercenary life and be with Justin properly, but it's been two whole months and Justin misses Gabriel - and Gabriel missis Justin - so when he has a few days between jobs, he tells Justin to come to London to the place he's staying for a day or two.
There's a good amount of great sex in this, but also we get a little further in this almost-kind of-relationship. There is another mercenary/assassin dude who is trying to kill Gabriel that they have to deal with, but it just forces Gabriel to admit some - not all - of the truth of his past and what he's doing.
They both want to be together so bad, but getting out of the game is a lot harder for Gabriel and it is taking a lot of time. And I have a feeling that it won't be as easy as "just a few more months and then I'm done" because we have a book two coming ;)
Can't wait for that book. I'm enjoying this series :D
***** I'm loving this series !***** We continue with our couple, Justin and Gabriel, mercenaries who want out, and want to be together. * Justin goes to London to be with his man. It's super hot, hot, hot ! They are "dating" and Gabriel is learning to like the PDAs. When a "tail" is discovered, both men want it gone, but it is connected to Gabriel's past and he wants Justin safe. Enjoy their love nest, sight-seeing, dinner, action, violence and the anticipation for what comes next. Looking forward to book two in this "series, Exit Strategy."
We get a prologue to hint at what's next. I'm excited for the new book.... ENJOY !
Great little interlude between books one and two. We get to see of our guys relaxed a little but that wouldn't have worked without a little attempted murder by your cousin. Now would it!
I liked this little nugget more than book one. It added more background for Gabriel and a bit for Justin but most of all made me feel more chemistry between them.
Gabriel and Justin are getting closer to becoming more in this one. The trip in London after time apart showed them they still want each other, it also showed them that Gabriel had things in his life he needs to resolve. Of course Justin wants to help, but that is not Gabriel's way and Justin needs to wait this out. It will be interesting to see what happens in the next book and if this threat is over.
As always, reading from these ladies is a delight. Another amazing, sexy, and action filled shortie, it’s worth it. Specially because the anticipation for the next book in this series just went sky high. Love my boys.
Nice little sexy interlude of reconnection between Gabriel and Justin. Trouble's coming and they're time is cut short, but it definitely sets up the what is necessary for Gabriel to be free of his past and have a chance at a future with Justin.

I like that we get little short stories in between books from this author, however, I felt like when I was reading this, for the life of me I could not remember much about the characters. I don't know if that's because they were not that memorable - which I doubt, or if it's because I only have room in my brain for all the boys from the Unbreakable Bonds and Ward Security LOL
Really though, this was fun, it was exciting, it was sexy, and I can't wait to read the next book in this series.
This refers to the audiobook version. A great short to fill in some background and to set the scene for what is to come. Justin and Gabriel are all in now, wanting to give 'boyfriending' a go, however Gabriel's past is stalking him and he needs to 'sort it out'. Good fun, good action and a bit of violence. What is not to like? Narrated by the wonderful late Kenneth Obi. He will be greatly missed.
I guess finding a way to be together, one would have to leave the other, to hunt down and eliminate the problem. That's what Gabriel is doing, keeping Justin save and out of the way while he eliminate the problem. It's the only way that they could have a life together. I'm ready for the next book, can't wait.
Gabriel is trying to free himself from his past so he can return to Justin. While waiting for his next move he invites Justin to London for a bootie call. Gabriel's past catches up with him and he must keep Justin safe and away from his past at all costs. He must take care of the people hunting him to be free to be with Justin. Great continuation to Deadly Lover.
This was an enjoyable short story giving us an insight into the deepening relationship between Justin and Gabriel. Looking forward to reading the next book. Just have to say that the editing in this book was excellent, the first book in the series irritated me so much because of all the typos!
Set in London...love it! How far would you go to see your lover/significant other? This was a fun short about the two mercenaries from Deadly Lover and a nice little interlude to keep us going until the next book in the Exit Strategy series is ready...write faster, Jocelynn Drake!
This short story punches a wallop as it is action all the way with plenty of steamy mixed in. I recommend that you read Deadly Lover first and meet these two brilliant characters in all their glory.
Oh yeah, this is what I'm talking about, this was PERFECT to build up the conflict and the central relationship of the series while also reminding us that Justin and Gabriel still don't fully trust each other and still have a bit to go before their happily ever after.
Great little teaser for the next book. I can't wait to jump back in to this series. I'm loving these two characters. They're both so dark but so strong. G Love is my fav. For being a top notch hit man, he's so broken. I highly recommend this one & the series. And hell - anything by this author!!
