While this book is comprehensive and full of good information, it appears publisher McGraw-Hill Education has once again "updated" a book as a money grab. So much of the information and pictures are outdated. A lot of information and tool that are "fairly modern", though would have been in prominent use in 2016 when the 6th edition was published are either not discussed or discussed as "new technology". I'm sure there are better updated books, but this book, as stated, is comprehensive of the basics and even contains some more advanced activities involved in constructing a home.
