This is an adaptation of the original story of Jekyll and Hyde. This version of the book has excerpts to explain historical, geographical, and societal contexts. There is neat information regarding the author and the legend that became of the original story. The illustrations are great and the story is presented in such a way that readers can easily understand. I liked the story, but for me there was too much going on, on every page. It was hard for me to keep my focus on the story, and not jump around to all of the little articles and pictures all over the spread. This is why I gave this story three out of five stars.

La forma en la que el amigo del jekyll cuenta la historia , la forma en que el Dr llogra sacar su lado mas malvado cuando la mayoria de las personas controlan , pero tambien el Dr termina muy mal por soltar esa parte mala que cada persona trata de controlar

Este libro me ha sorprendido increíblemente. Desde el inicio, me mantuvo con una intriga total hasta la última página.
Y a decir verdad, creo que todos tenemos un Dr. Jekyll y un Mr. Hyde dentro de nosotros.

Me mantuvo constantemente intrigada y pendiente de lo que pasaba. Lamentablemente el final se me hizo predecible en parte, no sabia el "como iba a pasar" pero si el "que iba a pasar", así que no me tomo tan por sorpresa. Pero si empatice mucho con los personajes y me encariñe con el libro.

Es la segunda adaptación del clásico de R. L. Stevenson que leo éste año, ya soy toda una experta en la historia. Esta adaptación cuenta con un montón de información y fotos sobre la época y las costumbres: trajes, oficios, medicina, el Londres victoriano... y creo que transmite muy bien el mensaje del autor. Además se refuerza con un montón de evidencia y posibles interpretaciones del mito y con la repercusión que tuvo desde que fue publicado hasta hoy. Las ilustraciones están muy bien pensadas y dejando a la imaginación. Lo único que no me ha encantado es la alteración del orden del argumento, entiendo que simplifica las cosas a los lectores más jóvenes pero al leerlo como adulto prefiero la estructura original.

Le tenía ganas a este libro desde hace muchísimo por lo bien que se oye hablar de él y porque el argumento siempre me pareció interesante, y la verdad es que no decepciona en ningún sentido. Lo recomendaría a cualquiera sin ninguna duda.
