Demi-Girl #2

The Soulbound Stones

Rate this book
The killer has been caught. And it’s Alice.

Or so the police believe.

Arrested and imprisoned for a crime she didn’t commit, Alice alone knows the truth: the killer is a frighteningly powerful nine-tailed fox sorceress who shares a shocking connection with her.

She also knows what the killer is after: nine enchanted stones that, if broken, will restore the sorceress' magic and render her unstoppable.

Alice must find a way to escape from prison and travel around Japan to track down the stones before the sorceress finds them first. If she wants to succeed, she must put her life in the hands of ancient Japanese gods, a mysterious assassin, and a former fairy tale folk hero moonlighting as an exorcist, but can they be trusted?

Will they find the stones in time? Or will the sorceress destroy them all?

THE SOULBOUND STONES is the second novel in Demi-Girl, an exciting new young adult urban fantasy series. Don’t miss Alice’s adventures as she encounters various gods and creatures from mythology around the world. The first saga revolves around Asian myths and legends.

The second in the series is just as packed as the first. Fun cameos and usage of pop culture things that may be familiar, even a few unintentional ones.

Not a big fan of how the Japanese gods come off in this book, nor Daji's constant need to speak as if Alice is a toddler. However, the reader is given a look at many different aspects of Japanese folklore. Giving readers the opportunity to do more research on their own if they hunger for more.
