I really liked this story, mostly because it was unlike anything else I've ever read before. Seri and her people seemed to be some sort of bird of prey hybrids and their antics were fun to learn about. She and her father have been exiled for reasons she doesn't yet know... her betrothed/lover may not be hers for much longer... and her brother is still being held by their enemies. Seri was fierce and loyal and pretty hilarious. I had such a grand time reading this entertaining novel.

Great Start

Kept me reading till the end. This was great start to a series. I read in two hours. Fantasy world of the Averian species and the Kings and his family. Great unique world build with fantastic characters.
