Power is a terrible corruptor.
Those who want it will do anything for it.
Those who have it will do anything to protect it.

Nimisila has finally found a place to call home, but when her camp is invaded by four strangers calling themselves “The Horsemen”, all hell breaks loose. The mayor of the city is plotting to bring about another winter, and Nimisila realizes the Horsemen have given her camp an ultimatum: Perish of exposure as the apocalypse approaches or return to the city as their slaves.

After being taken captive by a Horseman named Thanos, Nimisila learns the experiments she was forced to endure did not end after she destroyed the lab that imprisoned her. Hungry for power and telepathic abilities, citizens began volunteering to become research subjects. Thanos subjected himself to violent torture and became the most powerful telepath the city had seen since Nimisila herself.

Now, the power plant is running out of fuel, and a new energy source must be developed. Thanos has a plan to overthrow the mayor and liberate the city, but he needs Nimisila’s help to do it.

Faced with the terrible choice of living out humanity’s last days peacefully with her loved ones or putting her own life at risk to ensure the continuation of the human race, Nimisila makes a Faustian bargain with Thanos.

But can a utopia truly be built with blood on their hands?

Find out in REDEMPTION, the 9th installment of the gripping survival series, The Repatriate Protocol.

The final chapter

What a way to end a series. I really liked the way Nim handled herself with Thanks. The action scenes were great! The end was a bit of a letdown though coming directly after that huge scene in the basement. That being said, I think this seriesnismone you are going to enjoy reading.

Good Story

Not the ending that I expo, but the one it needed. A cautionary tale, one that leaves you thinking. A great carrier of society's failure to recognise the value of every individual.

Redemption

More secrets and truths are revealed to Nim. Things get a little crazy as the battle of strength builds. In the end the strongest will be at the top.

There were quite a few continuity issues, character issues, as well as plot issues in this book. It's like the author just wanted this to end.
