Magic may be infinite. But spells are made by men.
Maxim's night of knives trials start. Maxim makes it through the first but barely. Then he manages to make it through the second and the third. Would he make it to the fourth as no one has ever made it to the fourth? Maxim decides to quit as he promised Isra that he'd quit after the third but then things take a turn.
I am really loving the story and the trials of night of knives. As I have mentioned before that art has improved in this series vastly. I can't wait to read the next.

This series is going from strengh to strengh and what can you expect with VE Schwab at the helm! This is the most gripping edition yet and a great continuation of the great Maxim's becoming. So glad that there is a prequel to the fantastic Shades of Magic series and we are extremely fortunate its through the great visuals in these comics, to take in and savour each story! Cannot wait for the next already!!!

Loving the different trials for one, two and three (very cool and interesting challenges). Really shows Maxim's drive, skill, and power. Even him stopping at door four was great, showing that he knows when to stop instead of letting his pride get in the way. Even if the trials wouldn't let him go...

AHDHDJCJKVKFD I'M SPEECHLESS! Maxim is absolutely slaying this but then this shit happens and UGHHH I hate these cliffhangers but so glad I had the next issue but after this I'm stuck and need to buy the next arc 😭

I liked the magic trials! In fact, I would have liked this issue to be longer. We'll see what Maxim will face as the last trial.

O kurczę. Tego się nie spodziewałam. Plot twist na końcu trzeciej części jest boski. Już sam zamysł na turniej mega mi się spodobał i potem postawa Maxima, ale to zakończenie... Miazga.
