Platypus Between the Sheets is the brainchild of a small group of ridiculous authors. In these pages you’ll find funny stories, silly stories, steamy stories, and one story we’re frankly a little scared to read.
All profits on this anthology go to a platypus rescue! Why not help the odd little creatures while we have some Foolish Fun?
This anthology DISAPPEARS IN ONE WEEK!!!!! You’d better get it while you can.
We hope you enjoy these tales of Platypus Passion!
L.A. Boruff lives in East Tennessee with her husband, three children, and an ever growing number of cats. She loves reading, watching TV, and procrastinating by browsing Facebook. L.A.’s passions include vampires, food, and listening to heavy metal music. She once won a Harry Potter trivia contest based on the books, and lost one based on the movies. She has two bands on her bucket list that she still hasn’t seen: AC/DC and Alice Cooper. Feel free to send tickets.
I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review, and boy, this anthology delivers! Laughs, silliness, and sexy times abound! Plus its for charity! Seriously, what more could you ask for?
Platypus rescue! Yes, apparently that's a thing. This APRIL FOOLS’ DAY Anthology by L.A. Boruff, Laura Greenwood, Skye MacKinnon, Lacey Carter Andersen, Jaliza A. Burwell, E.E. Andrews, Edeline Wrigh, and Nova Blake is a whole lot of silly, a little sexy and beautifully charitable.
A Platypus and Her Wolves by LA Boruff and Laura Greenwood, 4 stars The Valentine Pride has its search engine set up to trace lone shifters. They have found the first one and three wolves have set out to meet and bring back their fated mate to the pride. This is actually my favorite story from the Valentine Pride so far. I loved cute little waddling April. She seemed so happy in her shifter form. I really enjoyed her sexy wolves as well, especially Caleb. Their first night together was everything. Milkshakes, putting an ex on the ground, working together, and playing together. I would have loved for this one to be longer so that we had more time with these four.
Taken by the Horny Platypus by Sky MacKinnon, I can't figure out a rating for this one Joanna crash lands on a strange planet where she has an encounter with a half-shifted man that must become a regular event. Sorry, this one kind of icked me out. Joanna and I have very different taste.
Not What She Eggspected by Nova Blake, 4 star Kat has a field assignment to rescue some rare eggs but her partner Mack has been injured so the rookie Clive will be with her tonight. Turns out that's not the only mess-up Mack makes on the job that night. But it turns out that the rookie isn't so inexperienced after all. Entertaining job. It felt like the story ended right when we were getting to the best part, however.
Detective Dick and the Case of the Missing Puss by E Andrews, I can't even begin to rate One lost cat, one search, one thousand innuendos.
The Platypus and the Devil by Edeline Wrigh, 3-4 star One platypus shifter, one Tasmanian devil shifter. Mates. Incompatible. This is more of a scene than a story. It has potential but I needed more.
Magical Conniption by Jaliza A. Burwell, 4 star One of Laila's seven men got her pregnant. Now she's uncomfortable, waddles, a little crazy, and her magic is all wonky. That's why three of her men find themselves as platypus at the moment. This is a fun, silly little story. Almost every pregnant woman has found herself grumbling and cursing her man for her condition at some point when she can't see her feet and has a little foot poking out of her tummy like an alien. I know I snickered at the idea of this temporary revenge. Harmless, inventive way to vent a pregnancy tantrum!
Medusa and the Platypus by Lacey Carter Andersen, 4 star Medusa, her gargoyle mates, and their twin daughters are happily living at the sanctuary. While swimming Medusa finds an injured platypus and against her gargoyles wishes, she insists on keeping the little guy until he is healed. Medusa and the twins are enamored with the strange creature but her guys think there's something off about the platypus. Still, they know better than to deny their wife! This was one of my favorites. I love Medusa's Destiny and loved another glimpse of their live's together. I can't wait for more monster-sisters. This story was surprising for such a short story. Fully developed story with a twist, cuteness between the gargoyle daddies and their girls, and sexiness between gargoyle men and their woman.
I have enjoyed all of the Between the Sheets anthology books. This is a hilariously weird book. A few of the stories had me with a WTH look on face. One story had me laughing through the entire story. It's for charity, so I do recommend this book! I also had to add this one to my collection of Between The Sheets books.
I just had to review NOW after finishing just story one. Laura Greenwood and L.A. Boruff's last line had me saying out loud...You have got to be kidding! I can't say more incase of spoilers but you need to buy this collection NOW. Fun and steamy at times, these 7 stories are a bargain. Recommended reading.
I thought this book was a joke, but it awesome stories by amazing authors. All having platypus involved, reverse harem, one on one and even funny story with a bunch of sexual puns. Also proceeds all go to a charity can't beat that.
Platypus Between the Sheets is both hilarious and steamy at the same time. Each story is as individual as the one before it, with each author creating their one story.
If your up for some giggles, definitely grab a copy of this anthology.
This book was weirdly entertaining. I received it as a gift and I'm glad I decided to read it. I couldn't stop laughing and it was just the bit of different that I needed.
Quite the variety in stories and styles in this collection. Several books I'd give five stars, one or two I'd rather skip. It was fun to see what different authors did with the platypus theme.
This was so funny and amazing and about a cute little animal. I love reading books about abnormal shifters so this totally fit the bill. Funny read and steamy.
Fantastic read for lots of laughs, sexy scenes, and incredibly unique stories. While some stories were more unique than others each were well written and are unforgettable!
I guess I should have know from the title. This book is pornography. Maybe not XXX porn, but porn all the same. I'm embarrassed to have this title on my Kindle.
This was a fun anthology. There is a story for everyone I think. I enjoyed how each author took a different spin on the theme and I died laughing through a few of them!
This is such a strange, funny, weird collection of short stories. I will say that the story by Laura Greenwood and L.A Boruff was really good. It was quick, sweet, different and ended on a note that left it open for more! All the stories were easy to read and an interesting concept about the platypus.
Who would have a thought that this great group of authors could all come up funny platypus stories. Each one is unique and hilarious units own way. If you want steamy and funny this is a great collection. I totally loved it so I give it 5/5 stars.
Some of these stories are cute. Some are funny. Some just leaving going wtf did I just read?! Definitely some unforgettable stories in this anthology. Very enjoyable and worth giving it a read
L.A. Boruff & Laura Greenwood - “A Platypus and Her Wolves” : This is another story from the Valentine Pride. Love the characters and the story. Fun read with a WTF ending!
Skye MacKinnon - Taken By the Horny Platypus: Yes the title is correct! It’s a quirky but entertaining read. Leave all sane thoughts at the door and enter this tale! Enjoy 😁
Nova Blake - Not What She Eggspected: This was an interesting fun read.
E.E. Andrews - Detective Dick and The Case of the Missing Puss: OMG a full on innuendo ridden story! Reading whilst in a hospital waiting area is not advised!
Edeline Wrigh - The Platypus and the Devil: This was a tad strange but enjoyable non the less.
Jaliza A. Burwell - Magical Conniption: This story was a tad strange. I have not read the books that the story was based around so I found this hard to understand.
Lacey Carter Andersen - Medusa and the Platypus: This was a nice take on the medusa story.
