Against the Current
In this second installment of the Zombies! series the horror continues as Randy and Kelly continue to battle their way towards Florida, Brenda and the girls keep fighting to stay alive and Kyler fights hard to make his way in this new world order. In this book the struggle to survive continues to get more intense as groups come together to keep outsiders out. The Zombies continue to get hungrier and the desperate people of the world grow ever more desperate.

There's a lot of time when there really isn't much to do besides wonder if the fog horn has finally made you deaf or watch your dad pull fishing lures out of different parts of people's bodies. (You'd be amazed!)
Two of my favorite houses growing up!
I read. I read a lot. We had a 'reading caterpillar' around the room at my school where every time you read a book you put your name on your color paper and hung it up. The teacher had to give me two colors because it was looking more like a worm than a caterpillar. I devoured CS Lewis before moving on to Tolkien. Reading has continued to be a big part of my life. I've moved into Alternative Realities by guys like Stirling and my guilty pleasure is Zombie novels. I can't seem to get enough of them!
I like reading about the extremes people will go to to survive. The ones who can rise above the rest and keep their sense of right and wrong. When humanity crumbles around them these flawed heroes stand tall and try to make their way. They go from struggling to pay the phone bill to struggling to keep themselves and others alive. I like to see how this either hardens or breaks them. I think these stories speak at a very primal level. I enjoy the journey greatly as I get to tag along seeing how the survivors manage and how the experience forges them into something more than they were.

I've always loved books like 'The Stand' where a new world rises out of the darkness and destruction of the old. People struggle to rebuild a better world than the one that came before. The definition of a 'better' world depending on the view point of the person doing the building. If you enjoy these types of stories as well then I hope you'll like the direction the second book of the Zombies! series is taking us in. Let me know what you think! I look forward to your feedback as I dive headfirst into the world of Zombies! to start working on Book 3.

Excellent, well-developed continuation from book number one. Lots of amazing Zombie action, sad losses, and impressive, resilient forward motion of this multi-diverse group of survivors.
Narrator Mike Thomas delivers a fantastic performance. He kept me on the edge of my seat and never missed a beat. Kudos.
Looking forward to moving on to book number three.

Good storyline, I believe that this series is actually good and will keep you interested and wanting more. I also liked how there were some really funny parts in the book and some parts that just kept me on the edge of my seat.

The anticipation!
Action filled and chafing....oh the humanity! The characters have quickly wormed their way into my heart and as the story continues feelings of dread and hope mix with my imagination wondering what next.

Funny and Great Characters. A very humorous zombie Apocalypse tale. They are the least likely to survive, but their ineptitude somehow works for them. My favorite line is about the main character believing that boobs are helpful in the water, because they act as flotation devices. I assure you the are not. A fun read.

Great follow up!!
I was impressed with the way book 2 picked up the individual stories without skipping a beat. Most books leave you to figure out what happened to the people between books, but not this series!! Starting the next one after this review! Can't wait to see how everyone ends up tied together!!!

Good
The storytelling is compelling. The author pays a great deal to detail and spins a tale that is exciting and very entertaining. The characters are ordinary folks who are able to do what is necessary to survive to find their family.

Good sequel
Entertaining story continues...the characters are alot more realistic than in other zombie apocalypse books.
Could do with some more action though.

Wonderful Series
Really enjoyed this series so far , lots of action and adventure I can't wait find out what happens next although I hated see Brenda gone but its a Zombie Apocalypse after all so people are bound to die I just hope Randy and Kelly make it to their girls and no more of my fave characters die needlessly ! Great Read

I liked it
So far I enjoy the book and the characters. There are many grammatical and spelling errors though and it makes it difficult. Just FYI. It's "I couldn't care less." Not "I could care less." If you could care less, then there is still somewhere to go. You could still care less.

Excellent writing but poor proofreading!
I hated giving this book only 4 stars. The storyline and characters deserve 5 stars, but grammar errors, simple spelling errors, and at times even using the wrong character names hurt the book. (Would love to Beta read, I'm listed).

The second is as good of not better
I absolutely love what is happening in this series. The author just builds the tension and then let's things either explode or settle without warning.

I am currently up to book six but I could not put the books down. This is one of the best book series that I have ever read. The storyline keeps you so glued to the book. Love it!

Another good read! I really love the multiple switch ups and the different storylines for each! You just cannot get bored with this series as there is always something happening. I wasnt too sure about fast zombies when I first started reading but I can definetly say im converted now. Cant wait to see what Kyler, Randy, Eric and the gang get up to next.

A real cliffhanger
I can't wait to get to the next book, but unfortunately, I have other responsibilities too. I love in the authors notes that it says it's like a movie in their head. That's how I explain reading to the grandkids. Anyhow, loving this zombie series. Not only are they killing zombies, but it shows the other issues, both physically and emotionally, people would face, too

Great series
Really great read . Fast paced and good story line. Has you on the edge of your seat as you roller coast through each groups adventures. I would definitely recommend this series.

OMG!
So that happened...................way to step up the action and suspense. I literally can’t put it down. I feel like anything could go down at this point. Ohhh and Randy is going from dad status to stud hmmmmmmmmm.

A Good Family Story
I like reading this book because of family connections for the characters. Family dynamics change often and each moment you can spend it with them laughing and smiling makes life worth living...even in the zombie apocalypse.
