The Story of Atlantis and the Lost Lemuria

Rate this book
There is no limit really to the resources of astral clairvoyance investigations concerning the past history of the earth, whether we are concerned with the events that have befallen the human race in prehistoric epochs, or with the growth of the planet itself through geological periods which antedated the advent of man, or with more recent events, current narrations of which have been distorted by careless or perverse historians. The memory of Nature is infallibly accurate and inexhaustibly minute. A time will come as certain as the procession of the equinoxes when the literary method of historical research will be laid aside as out of date in the case of all original work. People among us who are capable of exercising pastoral clairvoyance in full perfection - but have not yet been called away to higher functions in connection with the promotion of human progress, of which ordinary humanity is present knows even less than in Indian ryot knows of cabinet counsels - are still very few.... Every fact stated in the present volume has been picked up bit by bit with watchful and attentive care, in the course of an investigation out which more than one qualified person has been engaged, in the intervals of other activity, for some years past. And to promote the success of their work they have been allowed access to some maps and other records physically preserved from the remote. Concerned - though in safer keeping than in that of the turbulent races occupied in Europe with the development of civilization in brief intervals of leisure from warfare, and hard-pressed by the fanaticism that so long treated science of sacrilegious during the middle ages of Europe. --- excerpts from book's Preface

The book is interesting, there are references to even older books that tell the history of mankind. The movement of man around the world is explained as part of the people from Atlantis relocating and beginning civilizations all over the globe. The people from Atlantis according to William Scott-Elliot were red, yellow, black and white. The worship of all nations are supposed to be based from the religion of the parent continent.

Many of the animals that live in Chili and America were speculated to be descendants of the animals from Atlantis. The author believes that the world has regenerated its self at least five times. There are interesting points and some that may be truth, but for now it seems to be speculation. There was too much speculation and not enough artifacts and proof for their ideas. I believe Atlantis did exist and I believe that the people helped to populate the earth. The other confusing thoughts did not make a lot of sense to me.

It is worth reading or listening to on Audio Books as I did. The narrator had a bit of an accent. Some of the words at first were hard to understand but once you get used to that accent, it becomes easier. Her voice is pleasant and her tone is steady.

If you are curious about Atlantis, then I think this is a good book to read or listen to, in order to get a different perspective.

A mind shattering account of an alternate telling of our beginnings. The details of mankind's history come via astral projection, a parapsychological tool that the author claims to have mastered and experienced. Now, it's hard to tell how accurate Elliot's account is, or if he had gotten the information from other sources, but the detail is astounding. I recommend this read to anyone interested in alternate history. And the ancient civilizations of Atlantis and Lemuria.

Baseless and without proofs, why would he even bother to write this?

A delightful read

Many surprises and much research. I was especially intrigued with the Akkadian/Basque heritages. I highly recommend this book to all those who enjoy Atlantis mysteries and cultures.
