I keep this next to my desk and pull it out whenever I run into scenarios at work that I need help navigating. Highly recommend other leaders, or aspiring leaders, to also do the same! It also gives great tips for coaching and mentoring. Go buy it!

I am not generally fond of management books. In the main they are aimed at practitioners who by virtue of their office have little time to reflect let alone read.

This book is the rare exception to the rule.

It is thorough and stands up to repeated readings. In the industries I have worked in oft times it is the immediate need for someone rather than the product of apprenticeship and training.

This is a great book but those who would benefit the most are the least likely to see it

I have read two major sections in this book and have found the principles and strategies to be applicable to me. I like that I can pinpoint specific areas of interest to study and apply.
