Modern day New York, unrequited love, and one chance to go all in.
Childhood ex-lovers Sebastian and Lillian have been separated since they were teenagers.
After more than a decade, they find themselves coincidentally back in the same city.
Lillian is with someone new—the sexist heart throb this life has to offer, Ash Bennet, lead singer of Dreams of Compass Gods and every girl’s mad desire.
Sebastian is forced to watch from the sidelines, doing what he can to move on.
Being an attractive lawyer himself, he has no problem finding a girl to fill his lusting frustrations.
But what’s the point of getting any girl if he can’t have Lillian?
He’s tried all the routes, all the ropes.
If he can’t get over her, he’d rather get her back, so Ash better watch out.
The goal? Risk everything to get a second chance.
The lesson? Love will make you do stupid things.

This story is a bridge with no chorus or verses.

I truly believe that the birth of this story concept has so much possibility and merit. I've just been so fully disappointed with the execution that I can't say I would recommend this book to anyone.

As I feared by the timeline issues with part 1 and the lacking plot arc this book isn't designed to be a book on it's own. Once the 3rd "book" is ready the complete story may exist with a full plot arc and a proper climax and resolution but at this time we've only been offered pieces with the lacking interest and standard structure to be of value on their own.

If offered any of these parts alone, at any price point, I would highly discourage the buyer.

As my review title suggests this portion of the story is like the bridge of a song.... lacking any verses or chorus.... just the odd duck bridge with no context.

As to the characters, they are disappointing and hollow. They are weak, easily manipulated, pompous, hypocritical, shadows of the kinds of characters that you would normally want in a story.

I don't want characters that I always "like" but I need to see that there is more than the surface crud. Ash is a passive, weak, dishonorable slouch. Lily is a flip flopping, hypocritical, demanding B. Sebastian is supposed to be a Dom and he's anything but! Even Lily's roommate, Sebastian's step-sister is annoying and completely unnecessary other than for a reason for Sebastian to have appeared in Lily's life again!

After this second installment I can honestly say that the only character that I want to know more about is Bella. The beautiful, observant woman who knows what she wants and how to get it... although she is a horrible sub unless you like the type who control from the bottom. She at least knows what she's gotten into and has seemingly (at least for this small portion of the story) knows that she is destined to move on, alone.

I really wish that this full story would have been written and released in it's entirety instead of the sad parts it was/is being released. The breaks in this story lend me to believe that the only reason to process things this way are to be able to charge more for the end product by selling it in poorly organized bits.

I highly recommend you read the first in the Off Limits series to fully understand what's going on in this 2nd book. I loved the continuation, and the ups and downs going on throughout this story hurt my heart. I can't wait to see what else the three main characters go through before hopefully finding their HEA, and I really hope it's together as a triad. I think the three of them would be perfect together.

Lillian and Ash are getting ready to be separated by his upcoming tour when she has a heart to heart talk with him about her past, particularly with relation to drugs and alcohol. He tells her that he promises to try harder to be a better man for her and things are great as he leaves town. Meanwhile, Sebastian, the stepbrother of Lillian's roommate Rebecca, hooks up with a young woman named Bella as a way to forget about the love he has for Lillian. When Ash loses his cell phone while on tour, he thinks nothing of it but it turns out to be the worst thing that could happen. Lillian is trying to reach out to him but can't get in touch with him and starts to worry. As Ash is being forced by his manager to attend parties and be sociable, the unthinkable happens. He ends up drunk and the next morning can't remember what he did the night before until he gets on his social media page to find pictures of him kissing another girl. Unable to contact Lillian, he is sure he has ruined any chance of a relationship with her and is beside himself. Rebecca calls Sebastian to come help Lillian after she sees the pictures of Ash and the mystery girl. Sebastian lets Lillian know he hopes she might give him another chance at some point. A month after the pictures, Ash is heading home hoping to be able to apologize to Lillian and hoping he will give him another chance. Meanwhile, Lillian and Sebastian go on a date.

I was so engrossed, I couldn't put it down
I’m a sucker for the second chance romance trope and this book takes it to a new level. The alternating chapters are written from Ash and Sebastian’s POV with Lillian as the object of their affection.
Lillian’s heart has always belonged to Ash. She has some leftover baggage from her childhood, and so she gives Ash an ultimatum as to how they should proceed with their relationship. Ash appears reckless and Lillian can’t come to terms with his Rockstar status. He’s on tour with his band when he loses his phone and all ties to Lillian are severed.
Sebastian and Lillian dated at some point and have parted as friends. She just can’t seem to get over Ash and every time she needs a shoulder to cry on, Sebastian’s there. He meets Bella and she’s perfect for him and unlike Lillian who’s strong-willed, he's a dominant and Bella plays right into his hands and desires. He's infatuated with her, but she’s no Lillian.
Lillian and Sebastian decide to give it one more try. Ash is on his way back from his world tour and is ready to rekindle the flames, and even though I walked away with the impression that neither Sebastian nor Ash is suited for Lillian, I wanted a HEA for her. Sometimes the hardest part of letting go is learning to start over. I was left with more questions than answers and then the book ended in a cliff hanger. Ugh! Looking forward to the sequel.

review for 2 and 3 r the same ... read in same seating
(i skipped over the Sebastian and Bella parts, didn't hold my interest) Ash has always been my fave. Sebastian ...he just rubbed me the wrong way. don't like Bella (she just pushes folks along, like is kind of a pot stir-er, if u know what i mean??!) either. I wish these 3 reads were in a different kind of deal ..it seemed kind of silly to drag it out into 2 more books ... apparently book 2 i got when it was free sometime and book 3 in in KU. not sure i would pay for them either. i loved book one ... u know what there??! i don't enjoy how Lillian treats Sebastian and Ash ... like holding each of them at arms length ... u love one or not??! the mixed feelings is kind of mean ... u can not drag men along ... she is a bit more timid in book 2 and 3. felt she had a different feel in book 1??! i did not feel book three ended at all ... kind of like book 1 & 2 ... these kind of reads i just tend to end in my mind how i feel it is meant to be??! u know. i just think ... the author feels one way and that is her thoughts and ideas. i know how i feel and that is that. not sure if this is a spoiler or not ... but Lillian did her time with Sebastian ...never like the way he treated her. Ash is Lillian's man ... i think they get over their odds and she understands what happened there ... some one took his phone 'nough said. the end ... HEA in my book ... Ash and Lillian forever. lol!!

What do you do when your rock-star boyfriend seems to ghost you and then you see pictures of him kissing someone else?

Lillian and Ash had a bit of bumpiness before he went on tour. He still had a bit of wildness in him that scared Lillian that she was going to loose him, one way or another. So when Ash looses his phone on the road just when Lillian wanted to tell him she loves him, and then doesn't find it, it shook her up. Days go by and when pictures of Ash and someone else show up, she looses it. Her roommate, Rachel, calls her step-brother, who is Sebastian, to help with Lillian. In book one, he was trying to get back with Lillian but he was treating her like Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman.

Most of this book is more centered around Sebastian and Bella, a woman he picked up at a club. Yes, he was always thinking of Lillian, but he couldn't love her that much if he could be having sex with another woman like he was with Bella.

I do like the story continuing from Off Limits, and maybe it is good to give Sebastian a chance with Lillian, and a chance for Ash and Lillian to figure out what is really important in their lives.

So as she is telling him about the drugs and alcohol, Ash promises to try to be better; you are thinking they are okay. But Sebastian, Lillian's roommate Rebecca's stepbrother, has sex with Bella since he is wanting to get over his feelings for Lillian. Allie Hayden’s Déjà Vu: A Second Chance Rockstar Romance (Hard Rock Love Book 2) is a great continuation of Off Limits, the first book in the series. We get a love triangle here among Lillian, rock-star Ash and lawyer Sabastian. We get the added spice of a relationship between Bella she Sebastian - and frankly (a) she seems better suited for him and (b) if he really wanted Lillian why’d he ever really hook up with her? We get steam. We get loads of fun ... and then we get a cliffhanger. I was almost tempted to subtract a star for that (as I hate Clifford) but I decided not to as it wouldn’t be fair, but in my head I’ve taken off a half of a star due to it and then rounded up (so there!). The novel itself is very well written and kept me hooked till then and, darn it, that does count more. Frankly, but for the fact that I’m literally dictating this review to my husband from my hospital bed, I could go on with praises. The book deserves it. Since I can’t do that I will simply note that the book is one to read, and it is easy to recommend. I’m definitely looking forward to the next book in this series and resolving that cliffhanger.

WARNING 18+
This is book 2 of the series "Hard Rock Love"
I never read the first book in the series.
Lillian the heroine is now with Ace the lead singer of the band "Dreams of Compass Gods" who is just taking off with tours.
Sebastian is now with Bella who he met at a club that his friends took him to but he can't stop comparing her to Lillian and picturing Lillian
When Lillian sees pictures of Ash with another girl in media circles and discovers that he blocked her on one media channel she has a completely breakdown.
Her best friend, roomate Sebastian's step sister calls him and he drops everything to come to Lillian. They decide to try again
Ash relazies he made a big mistake when he discovers the pictures on media outlets
This book ends in a cliffhanger. I recommend that you read the first book "Off Limits"
in the series and grab the next book in the series to discover what happens and who Lillian chooses.

I had a confusing time reading this book Having said that I was a little disappointed that Sebastian still can’t seem to make a true commitment to anyone because of Lillian. And Ash is a disappointment on his side due to how immature his decision making or lack of thinking is when he is away from the woman he loves. Not happy with Lillian either knowing how Sebastian feels about her and is still making it seem like he has a chance. The only reason I gave it a four is because I do like how this author writes. I’m hoping the next book has them growing up and making better choices Ash getting his picture taken in compromising situations is a hard thing to swallow looosing his phone is no excuse. Lillian needs to choose one or the other and stop making it harder for all and Sebastian needs to step aside and let Lillian grow up.

As a fan of music books I have to say I was very excited when I received an ARC of this book Booksprout and am leaving a voluntary review. I liked Lillian and Ash. Sebastian, not so much. Sebastian was a bit too aggressive for my taste and took being a dominant to a different, almost off putting, level. Not to mention Sebastian constantly comparing Bella to Lillian got to a point of being absolutely annoying, I mean he couldn't even kiss Bella without comparing her to Lillian in his head. But aside for my dislike of Sebastian, I liked this book a lot, but because for me, it has to be the male lead that needs to convince me, and unfortunately there was too much of Sebastian and not enough of Ash, but when we did get him he was surrounded with a mystery, I am giving this book 4 stars instead of five. But will definitely read the next one in the series.

I received this book as an ARC and am giving my honest opinion. I liked this story for it's chemistry between both men and her. But this story left me feeling slightly confused and I don't understand how she could just leave things unsaid with Sebastian afterwards, or how things just were with them. I was confused with her and Ash and how the story abruptly ended too. It says the story is a second chance but it didn't feel like the second chance and the lack of epilogue made me feel lost. It doesn't feel like it was completed and needs another book.
I feel like she could love them both, and actually didn't know whom she wanted to be with.bI kind of had this hope that they'd both want to keep her , and somehow they would all work it out and it be a menage of sorts... I liked the story but I just couldn't fall in love with it, it left me wanting....

Lillian and Sebastian were in love when they were teenagers and they ended up going their own separate ways, over 10 years later they meet up again but Lillian has moved on and she is with Ash Bennet lead singer of the band Dreams of Compass Gods. Ash is going on tour and his manager pushes him to go to parties and one night Ash gets blind drunk he wakes up the next morning with no memory of what happened the night before. Ash goes on social media and see’s pictures of himself kissing another woman and Lillian see’s the pictures and she’s devastated and Sebastian see’s this as a chance of getting back with Lillian, and after seeing those pictures Lillian gives Sebastian another chance but Ash is on his way back home from the tour and he’s hoping that Lillian will forgive him. This is a great read and I recommend this book.

Lillian and Ash have been working hard on their relationship. Lillian is so in love with Ash but she has yet to tell him. Ash is a rock star who has to leave to go on tour and he isn’t happy because he has to leave Lillian. Ash has been doing really well putting his wild streak on the back burner. Sebastian has always been in love with Lillian but they have been broken up for some time. He sees a beautiful lady Bella at a bar when he was out with his friends. Bella is a lot of fun for Sebastian. When Lillian finds out some distressing news her roommate calls Sebastian to come help her get Lillian calmed down. This book is great and I really enjoyed reading this book.

The story is written from the points of view of Sebastian, Lillian, and Ash. Sebastian and Lillian used to be together but that ended. They each rebounded. Sebastian ends up with Belle and Lillian ends up with Ash. There are some things that happen but I love how Sebastian and Lillian come back fill circle to just being friends again..for awhile. The characters are wonderful and the story flowed smoothly. The story does end on a cliffhanger and I can't wait to see what happens next. There are some hard choices that are going to have to be made by all the characters. I know who I want Lillian to end up with, but I will just have to wait and see like everyone else.

I reviewed this book on amazon and Booksprout plus now on goodreads. This is definitely one that you have to read the first book to know what is going on. The first one is just as good as well. She is hart broken and in love with two men. If only she could make them into one man she would have the perfect man. Or if she could have both of them. But it takes a real man to admit that he’s wrong and to say that he is. But that’s the thing they both know they made mistakes and they both know what they want and what they had with her and they want it back. That’s why I say if she could make them one or have them both, she wouldn’t have to be so confused with what she fills and which way she wants to go. Must read this book and you should really read the first one before the second book.

I wanna start off by saying that I enjoyed this book. I enjoyed the first one too!! I could not put either book down!! With that said, I’m a little confused. The blurb at the beginning of the first book did not happen in the first book. Nor did it happen in the second book. So I’m hoping that it will be somewhere in the third. Which means I’m hoping there is a third. I’m frustrated by the characters because I feel like if they would communicate with one another they would all be super happy and could all get what they want. With all of that said, you should definitely read this book....maybe wait until series is done. I just have so many questions.

This is Book 2 of the Hard Rock Love Series by this author. It is the continuing love triangle romance between photojournalist Lillian and her two beaus, New York lawyer Sebastian and rock star Ash. Lillian and Sebastian have been separated for ten years. Now that they've reconnected, is this Sebastian's second chance at love with Lillian? Lillian's sizzling chemistry with both men is undeniable as she tries to figure out with whom her destiny lies. Quite decently written, this love story has all the feels - drama, heartache, uncertainty, passion, and love, plus engaging secondary characters to keep the reader interested. Overall, it is a quick read with a somewhat happy for now ending.

3,5* - True deja vu - twisted paths of relationships

And so the story of the three hearts continue. There's plenty of action in this part. Especially from Sebastian's side. Hot, steamy, sexy times. Some twists and turns and the plot goes full circle so the title is very adequate to what is going inside the book on the pages. It feels like deja vu. Still lack of open communication and miscommunication between heroine and two heroes leads to some unexpected events and brings troubles to their relationships. I am very curious how they story will unravel in next part and what the conclusion would be.

Wow! This was a great book to read. Going between Lillian, Ash and Sebastian was intense!
Lillian was a rock for Ash and he left on tour. She thought she had made the right decision to be with Ash, but did she really?
Sebastian tried as he might to find a distraction from how he felt about Lillian, but was even that enough? He seemed to be going in the right direction when Rebecca called to help her.
Can either of these relationships be put back together? Or will they flounder around until they realize who is right for them?
Excellent read!

Sooo good. Who is Lillian’s true love? Ash or Sebastian? What is it about Lillian? Ash is in love with her and is with her. Sebastian is with Bella, but wishes he was with Lillian. Ash loses his phone and doesnt answer any of Lillian‘s texts or calls, so she thinks he has broken up with her. But that’s really not the case. Sebastian comes to her rescue and tries to cheer her up. Ash is gone for several more months and in that time Sebastian makes his move. This book ends on a cliffhanger, and I can’t wait for the next book. Who is her true love? Ash or Sebastian? So good.

Wow I loved this story.
This is the second book about Lillian, Ash and Sebastian.
I really like that the story is written from all 3 POWs and that it is not just her feelings you figure out and read about.
The steam is definitely brought by Sebastian that naughty, naughty man. The sexy, alpha male lawyer.
Lillian and Ash goes through some problems both because of her past(which gets revealed in this book) and his rockstar lifestyle since his band gets more and more noticed.
Did she make the right choice in the first book?
I can definitely recommend this book!

What a great follow up to the first book. Ash is leaving for his tour and Lillian is worried about him-will he revert back to his old ways. Sebastian is trying to forget about Lillian and move on with his life. All it takes to reopen everything is Ash being on tour, things happening, Ash not being able to contact Lillian. Sebastian steps up to help Lillian through her heartbreak. Definetely an emotional roller coaster for everyone involved. Loved it!!!

Too Bad…I Am Taken! By Emma Vikes is a taboo story, that had me squirming a bit at first. It follows Luke and Alexandra. His father wed Alexandra after his mother’s death. Luke hadn’t been home for quite some time and returns to meet his stepmother for the first time…and sparks fly.

While I have a little difficulty with the believability of the storyline, I enjoyed the story and it was super steamy!

I have been looking forward to this book so much. OMG... Sebastian is still in love with Lillian - he needs to move on. He's still the ultimate control freak. I'm heartbroken about the ending, just so sad about who she ends up with. And feeling so bad for the guy who's out. And yet, I still loved the book, and can't wait for the next one.

It was good, but not as good as the original Off Limits. The spark and dynamics were there between the main characters, and the drama as well. It was definitely set up for another sequel, well one would hope. The way this book finished off also didnt really sit well with me though. Allie writes well and the characters and story development are very good.
