4.5 rounded up because I'm a sucker for a sweet happy ending with callbacks to earlier promises, after canon-typical action and worry.
You don't get a happy ending in any of the short and shorter, mentally-fragmentary, mainly-epistolary lead-ups, only in the full-length final story, but it's all absolutely worth a read, with excellent voices and a wonderful mix of feels.
Nobody's unwounded, perfect and always-wise, but amid the physical and psychological healing, and the natural moments of anger and frustration, there manage to be plenty of love, protectiveness, and new understandings, sexy times, and character-based humor.
