It's all the fault of reading Theirs to Protect , my reverse harem romance venture a few weeks back. Now my Kindle recommendations are leading me farther and farther from my historical fictions, literary fiction, and myster/ suspense thrillers. As you can see, I liked this book enough to invite a 4 star rating on its shoulders.
Twenty something Harlow has a leaky pipe and after a disastrous attempt to fix it herself, handy man Butch Barton and his teenage nephews arrive to fix the problem. Although Butch feels attracted to the young woman, he reminds himself that he is in his forties and that there is no way Harlow would be attracted to him. Of course, he's 100% wrong and the two fall into lust and eventually love with each other. Soon it's marriage and a baby!
I needed something a bit light and smutty and this totally fit that bill. Although there is some cringe worthy dialogue between Harlow and Butch, I really liked them as characters and I selected three other Alexa Riley titles to read because I like her writing.

Another hot one from the writing duo. Not my absolute favorite but steamy and safe. I was a little surprised at the beginning with the twins and their reaction to the h but once they got together things turned around

What a cute AR book. Butch wants her but thinks he’s too old. Harlow wants him and goes after him until he can’t say no. At the beginning I wasn’t sure I was going to like his sons for the way they talked. Then I remember that they were only 17 and towards the end of the book I really liked them and I’m pretty sure their book will be coming out soon.
Once Butch finally realized that he was fighting a losing battle for his feels towards her, it was game over. She was his and there was no turning back. I can’t wait for the next one!!

REVIEW: This is a new adult erotic romance novella. The story was really interesting. It had it own ups and down but overall it was really good. The book itself was smutty as hell. It does have an age-gap between the two main characters. The writing was pretty simple and good. And if you are into smutty romance then you are gonna enjoy this for sure.

Dear Readers,
Go into this blindly. Don't hold back. You'll immediately find yourself hooked to this book. It's funky, jumpy, smug, comedy in big doses and sexy nonetheless. I love hard intimate scenes, you know like smashing against the walls and making out. Definitely my scene. Too Hard just takes a notch higher with all the roughness and hardness. I love Butch, what a name! Haha, it's as hard as he makes out. And Harlow is just my girl. She's nerdy, workaholic and importantly a redhead. You never mess with redheads! It has all the steam like any AR books. Fast paced, short lengthened, you can complete the book within 45 minutes - 1 hour with cheeky grins and butterflies in your stomach. Narrated from Dual perspective, it's perfect to make anytime of your day.

Dear Alexa Riley,
You know you both were just made for me? I might not say this very often but women, I could kiss you both right now, although it'd bother my hubby! As gentle and mushy as Kissing Her was, this came out as a surprise with the edges perfectly well shaped in possessiveness, anger, insecurity and intimacy of course. You sneaky devils, I know what you did with twins and Nellie. You thought I wouldn't notice? Yeah, now that you have managed to get under my skin, I hope you bring out their book soon enough. I can not imagine how sassy and sexy will that book turn out. Fingers crossed, ladies. Keep writing the smut, like you always do!

So I love May- December romances. I ADORE them! My love for Diana Palmer is based on it. And I'm so glad AR dived into it!
A 41 year old single dad who raised his twin nephews (who are now 18) and is a plumbing contractor falls for a naive 18 year old redhead in this sweet taboo story.
Dont worry- all potential daddy issues are addressed, but that doesnt mean they do not engage in super dirty role play.
And wait, Nellie with the twins Owen and Elijah? Ooh la la, hot mama!! WANT!

Very steamy, dirty and safe. Nice short read. Harlow and Butch are hot together. I hate the Daddy kink but I read this because I love AR. Plus I love a big age gap. There is a future epilogue. We find out they had a baby boy and that Nellie is getting her own story though I won't be reading this because I'm not into threesomes lol

I do seem to love anything that these two authors produce and this made my night shift so much more enjoyable.
Harlow has just started living on her own and although she has her own successful online hacking test business there is something missing in her life, she has never had a boyfriend happier to spend her life in the land of computer games or books but the day she decides to fix a dripping pipe in her new kitchen is the day that her life changes. Butch walks in and he is all she really sees but he is so much older than her and with two sons nearly her age could be ever see her as anything other than a client?
Butch has spent the past fifteen years bringing up his twin nephews and relationships have never mattered, his boys and his business are all that have mattered until he walks into Harlow’s apartment and rescues her from a DIY disaster. She is everything that he never knew he wanted but surely she could never want a man who is old enough to be her father? Or could she be the woman he was put on the earth to love and protect?
It was interesting watching Butch fight his attraction for Harlow he really had no chance of escaping the chemistry. This was a great read with a little kink but not enough to make it eww. So it’s a safe quick steamy read just as you would expect from Alexa Riley. Can’t wait for Nellie’s book!!!!

When he gets a call out to her apartment to fix a leak, he has his two sons with him both nearly eighteen and off to college in a few short months he doesn't think anything of it. But when young Harlow who isn't that much older than his boys answers the door his thought is no way are they seeing her.
Harlow is totally clueless, about life, dating. She lives in her own little world rarely venturing outside preferring to stay surrounded by her computer and video games. But when she opens the door to Butch the attraction is instant. It's a wonder they didn't combust with the heat pouring from the pair of them.
Though he trie's to resist Harlow it's pretty a no brainer. She will be his. Totally. Forever.
A super fast read, but that's just fine. The story delivered. It was flat out steamy and these ladies never fail to let me down ever.

We love a hot AR read during the work shift. If your job is stressful pick up an AR book to smooth over your troubles with some much-needed shenanigans. This is something that I have read more than once and I plan to bring it back out for days that are stressful like today.

I got this as a Arc for a honest review this was a fast pace cute lunch read. Warning.. if you don't enjoy older/younger couple you can pass or daddy kink also virgin lol..
I enjoyed it very much Harlow (19/20) was abit sassy, smart and a girl gamer bit tomboyish and when she thought she could fix her sink well it blew up lol calling in a emergency plumber/contractor to help with her problem.. the meeting between the two was funny as heck since Butch had his two twin 17 year olds son/nephews (he adopted them since his sister died) work with him but their comments made his inner alpha wanting to protect her from then and himself , Butch (41) was a sweet charming workaholic OTT alpha male but he did push her away few times since he felt he was way older then her and she could do so much better.. even when she pushed back temping and teasing him he had to keep her away.. once he gets a taste he can't stop and he never wants to..
What took me by surpise is the slight daddy kink.. (just the world daddy) that was tossed randomly lol and was sooo on board with a Sean and Nellie story until i found out he was a douchbag in disguise blessed Nellie never did anything with him... another positive the bonding between cousins!!!miss female friendships...ending epilogue gave us maybe a taste of Nellie and the twins?? Their 22 now? So maybe a older gal (few years maybe 25?) and younger guys? Idk but wouldn't mind see what that was about..

I adored Harlow. She games and she isn’t afraid to go after what she wants. In this case, that means Butch. She went after Butch and he never really stood a chance. Also, were they throwing out vibes that the sons might get a book with a certain someone?

Harlow is a young twenty something that's great with computers and gaming but pretty much gets into trouble when she tries to do anything handy in real life. That includes trying to stop a drip drop leak in her kitchen which she turns into an all out waterfall.
Butch is in his early 40's raising his two young nephews who about to graduate high school. He owns a construction company and gets a call in the night to service Harlow's apartment and try and fix the mess she made.
From the minute she opens the door, it's pretty much insta-lust. But Butch tries to push it aside and not give in considering he's got two boys only a couple of years younger. TOO HARD by Alexa Riley is the steamy love story of Butch Barton and Harlow Harrison.
Butch is an older guy who falls for his client, a younger woman named Harlow who gets his pulses racing whenever he sees her or even thinks of her. He doesn't think he has a chance because he is older plus he has children who are 17. Harlow immediately had this insta- love/lust when it came to Butch and she knew he was the man for her. Loved how she let him know in a totally geeky yet classic AR romance way. There is some daddy/lg in this story and OMG is it hot. The passion in this story is delicious and sexy. The heat will have you turning your fan on. Butch and Harlow's story is sweet and fun, sizzling and easy. Can't wait for book 2 ...this has been one fabulous read from start to finish. Another AR classic romance!

Butch Barton has raised his adopted twin sons and they are about ready to head to college. He feels a bit of melancholy about the fact that he never found the woman for him, but he doesn't regret a day he's had with his sons. When he gets called to fix a plumbing fiasco at Harlow Harrison's apartment, he doesn't expect the overwhelming desire to maker her his. Harlow is quite a bit younger, can Butch take a chance on Harlow?
This was pure fun. I liked Harlow a lot, she is a bit of a nerdy girl and Butch is pure alpha male. Highly entertaining.

It's been a while since I last read a book this dirty and let's face it..."wet".
What happens when your pipe breaks down ? You call a plummer. And, what do you do if he's very hot, you can barely walk away from him ? Well, you make sure to keep him coming back for at least a few days, so you break the aforementioned pipe a little more, until you cannot stop the water from leaking.
That's exactly what oiur girl does and she doesn't feel sorry in the least. Actually, to be honest, she can't think of anything else than getting a taste of him amd fast, although... You get what I mean.
After the first night he came over to her place, neither of them can help themselves of not thinking of each other, so, Harlow accidentally sends a message to him, instead of her cousin. But who cares?!
That is how their love story begins.
I think I need more of Harlow amd Butch, and soon.

I really enjoyed this story. This is a May/December, insta love, OTT alpha male romance! I really liked both Butch and Harlow, they were a good couple together. I really liked that Harlow was a hacker/gamer, she was a pretty cool woman!
