I hated this book, I massively struggled to finish it. Would not recommend even if you get it for free. Major plot holes, weird plot convenience, a lot of telling instead of showing, the author seems to forget things she’s written previously so she contradicts herself frequently, there’s no plot permanence, there’s no consequences for actions, the author feels the need to pair up everyone, constantly forgets the way she’s previously written her characters and will write actions or responses that don’t make sense. Sometimes she will forget to write something so it doesn’t make sense, like someone is outside but suddenly their in the kitchen as part of the conversation, how did they get there? And others she writes in too much detail like a guy walking up to another guy at a table for 6 pages. She will intricately weave subtle things into the story that are just so great but will then ruin it by taking several pages to explain to you what she just did and the relevance. She uses a lose magic system, which would be fine except sometimes it’s super overpowered and the next they can’t do simple things. It’s super inconsistent even with things that were already established.

ONE STEAMING COLLECTION!!!
Talk about a hop, skip and jump. This is one exciting, action packed, fast paced, hard hitting, pulse racing, spine tingling, nailbiting, nerve racking, page turning bombshell that captivates from the start. All the twists and turns, ups and downs, insand outs, along with a few glitches and grinds make for one intense experience. You get a plethora of emotions, you feel everything the characters feel. Be it heartache, heartbreak or finding the most wonderful thing right in front of you. The characters were written with such realism it was easy to believe and relate. They were well developed as their personalities flow smoothly. The scenes are so graphic and detailed it's easy to see each scenario as it plays out perfectly. Martha did a remarkable job bringing this read to life. Fantastic job Martha, thanks for sharing this awesome read with read with us.

My account shows that I read this box set, but the truth was, I only made it a few chapters into the first book. The story looked like it would be better than average, but if you've read any of my reviews, you know I rarely read poorly edited books. The story has to be outstanding for me to put up with misused and misspelled words and typos. There were too many instances of these so I quit reading. Examples are "she peeked his interest' and 'he'll have to reign in the pack'. There were many more. This author would benefit from a good editor and/or a careful ARC group. Like I said, the story showed promise, but there are so many well edited books out there that I want to read that I passed on the rest of this one though I was tempted to play English teacher, correct everything, and send the info to the publisher!

Absolutely loved this set of books. I was very happy to be able to read this entire series at one time. Skylar was unbelievable I mean come on she was definitely the glue that bonded the entire crew together. Skylar and Liam are perfect for each other, thank god Liam came to his senses and claimed her. Glad all the characters managed to end up with the right person for them. Liam's dad was a horrible individual, not that Skylar's was much better. At least everything worked out on the end.

Great storyline, endearing characters

Really enjoyed the whole series. Got the box set of 4 but there's actually 8 books in the series. Well written, great characters, well thought out storyline. Definitely a few twists!!! There were a lot of steamy love scenes, a few too many I think. Kind of got old for me, had to skim past some of them, and some with characters I really didn't want to read about. Other than that, it was really good.

I liked these four stories and how they flowed into the next one until I got to the end of the fourth and found I had to buy another book and it looks like there are more after that. If not for the cliffhangers, I would have given this more stars. Another point off is the terrible editing, random words in sentences and incorrect use of words, i.e. bare instead of bear and vise versa. Good storytelling but this needs work.

Beginning Books

I enjoyed each of the beginning books for each of the series. The one I truly enjoyed the most was The Werewolves of Boulder County. It was too bad that the remaining books were not included. It is worth your while if you buy the remaining books to find the outcome.

Very good story collection

I loved all the stories in the entire collection. Even though I had a small issue with grammar before I started reading the last story, but the misspellings and grammatical errors in it kept making me feel like quitting. I have actually done that but since I was on the last story, decided to stick it out.

It's a collection

If you want a read and done this is not it! They are slow moving and although good story lines for all the characters, it takes too long. And over look the discrepancies single pregnancy and "they are" moving fine, today, doesn't match. Will I read book 5? Not sure.

Werewolves of Boulder Junction

This was one of those books going into I wasn't sure about. I usually don't like books with hunters and all that. I have to say I couldn't put it down. So much going on and you can't help but get caught up in it all. Loved the characters and the storyline. I was hoping it would wrap up in the fourth book but it didn't.

Wow

Not going to rewrite book. A good read. A little slow at times but many characters keep it moving. I wish I had known it was 5 books before I started. Hate the use of God’s name 😢

Great series

I really enjoyed this book and loved the characters and how they came together. I can't wait to see what will happen next for them and what Skylar is and of course who is after them.

Romance, alpha shifters, strong women, intrigue: all the components almost perfectly weaved into compelling and addictive storytelling. First class *****

Hmmm Good until book 4

Personally I like buying box sets or collections of a series. However, this was good but once it got to the fourth book, The Alpha's Temptation, it went downhill. The grammar. The tone. The overall story vibe started to become less appealing. Boring. Giving hype and fake mystery to Sky's entity and what she could be. The energy dwindles since the first book. But this latest book does involve more characters perspectives. We go from one main point of view to two then multiple; then to a third person perspective where we are reading just as readers. Normally I don't have a problem with that, but given the plot of this series, it has lost its magic and enchantment. Again I was fine with it the first three books but this last one I was losing interest and only those little skirmishes pulled me back.

So this story in a nutshell is about a recent college grad , Skylar Moore trying to escape the mob because her father has a gambling debt he keeps eluding. Yeah he's a loser. So because the mob cannot get him they expect Sky to pay the bill. Yeah told ya dear old dad is a loser. She finds sanctuary however she didn't expect wolf-shifters, witches and paranormal hunters. Love. Romance. A lot of sex - yeah it was overkill at the time. We are weaned from a dual POV to more as witch, Hayley, Liam Conway's brother Michael, and old housekeeper turned young witch, Farah become main characters. So unity of the shifters, hunters and coven to defeat an evil witch coven. Battling the mob. Face off with the negligent father. All in all great storyflow until the Miami Don comes for his missing son. Then all these additional and new characters come into play. It's a headache because you don't know who is who until you read further. I was thankful I finished book 4. I was done even though the book 4 story's end indicates a continuation. That was confirmed after I saw there are more books in this series. To me, it's dragging an exhausted plot out by trying to spice up leftovers. Whether you decide to continue is really up to you. I'm honestly good with ending here. Although I may continue to finish this series at a later date.

So I am going to review the complete series here rather than each individual episode, because that is what they are. To be honest if these had not been on KU I probably wouldn't have completed the series.
Firstly this could have been a fantastic series, however it is let down on so many levels. The author needs to invest in some decent editing and proof reading, there are so many typos and grammatical errors it's not true. There are also a number of conflicting and confusing entries, sometimes the completely wrong character name appears in a paragraph, then there is the pregnancy. Initially it is indicated that there is a baby (that would be singular), then the narrative starts to use the word they rather than it, so I am thinking 'oh is she having a multiple birth?' That would be no.
The characters are reasonably well developed but sadly there is very little world building. The other strange thing is that this series is called 'The Wolves of Boulder Junction', there is however very little in any of the books about the pack itself. The Alpha, his wife, his second and his mother head off with the other characters from various supernatural species to take on the world with no reference to the rest of the pack. Anyone that ever read a shifter book knows that wolf packs work together rarely as individuals.
Lastly every book ends in a cliffhanger so that if you are invested in the series you will buy the next one. There is also quite a bit of filling (mainly with numerous sex scenes), that although I am not against a bit of hot sex in a book, there are a couple of occasions when there are literally 3 or 4 sex scenes one after the other, which became somewhat repetitive. As I have said this wasn't a problem as I was reading via KU, I would not be happy if I had been purchasing these books though.

Werewolves of Boulder Junction Collection

Awesome reading. Messed up and read the 5th book first and had to go back to read these books. Everything you can ask for in a book. I love Sky and can't wait to see what happens next with her and her new family of shifters, witches, and hunters.
The only negative is that of proofreading. There are errors that are not being caught. Just something to check in newer books in later years.

Werewolves of Boulder Junction

I hAve 5 stars for these first four books as it shows that not all families are happy but you can over come the unhappiness in a family. Family doesn"t alwAys have to be blood to be family and it can be a mixed bunch of people. It also shows that people chAnge and fall in love with people they never thought they would and that you can overcome a lot when you stand together

The Neverending story

Too many spelling errors and inconsistencies , basically every cliche you love, turned into one never ending book that needs a good proofreading and editing. Characters go from being interesting to blah, you have shifters, witches, hunters, cancer, throw a deadbeat adoptive father and the mob for good measure, it's a mess that could be good with some much needed revisions.

Love battle survival it's all here not to missed

Skylar (Sky) needs the job and Liam needs a personal assistant but not a woman. That's the soft start keeping it professional was manageable for her but was getting harder by the hour for him. Brought back home because his mother was ill, his father's intention to get him to become Alpha. 4 books 1-4 is full of betrayal, horror, love and new friends a must read these books have and cover all readers will love

Awesome series!

Fantastic stories! Great characters, connections, friendships and stories! So well-written these stories just flowed! That being said: I love box sets and series - I HATE cliffhangers! So, I guess I'm headed to book 5. Thank you for your time, talent and THE STORIES!

This is an adequate book.

I don’t like books with explicit sex scenes so probably about a third of the book was unread by me. There were weird sentences with questionable grammar making it hard to understand to whom the author was referring.

I need more!

What in the world? I read book 1 a long while ago and never got around to the next book and now o am so glad I did. The love story parts of this book is good but the plot behind it all is what makes it great. The suspense and the drama. I can’t wait to read book 5

Good serial

This is a good serial story. Each story is part of a bigger story. There is a 5th book, too. There are a few problems with the editing. The errors should have been found and fixed. They did not spoil the story. For mature readers.

Keeps you guessing.

So many couples are involved in this series, but they carry through all the books. Story is continuing into Book 5. There are wolf shifters and witches. Many different covens of witches. Many characters Liam and Skye.
