My God ! This run still holds up to this day ! Geoff Johns just have this gift to keep you eyes glued every issue you read ! My favorite run on the Flash ! The artist he teamed up with (Scott Kollins) who draws most of this run, his art REALLY matches the tone of the story. Geoff really makes you fall in love with the Rogues as well. Love the back story of Captain Cold the MOST. Geoff Johns what a gift you have in writing man ! Can't wait to re-read Volume 2.

Never read any Flash before so this was a great start. Really enjoyable once you get through the first few chapters setting everything up. I’m really looking forward to the next omnibus!

Early Geoff Johns stuff, a little rough around the edges, but it does get alot better in the second part of the omnibus, i am not a big fan of sulerheroes in medieval settings, it doest work for me, and this one started there. The Rogues gallery has a huge part here and i dig that. Hear the second omnibus is way better, i will be there to read it.

They say that if it's written by Geoff Johns, Its worth reading and so far they aren't wrong. Everything I've read from him has been phenomenal and this is no exception.

Honestly, I only got a few issues in and thought about not continuing to read the first volume. It didn't resonate with me. The dialog and narration seemed shallow, and it was to action oriented for me. But then, this might just mean I'm not a Flash fan. I am glad I continued to read it since there’s a definite upward quality curve throughout this book, but not enough to recommend it overall. I really did like Scott Kollins work and the Rogues never felt as menacing as a family. John’s work on Captain Cold is especially impressive. Wally West is not my childhood flash but this really is his pinnacle as a character before the big reversion of Barry.

Geoff Johns. This man is a genius. I bought this omnibus for Christmas and I just finished it. I got to say. Everything matters. Every arc, every issue. It leads up the the big conclusion in the Crossfire Arc. I loved his first half of his Wally West run. I will definitely look forward for the second volume.

I like how this large volume is really one long story which continues into the 2nd volume. Events that happen in the first few issues come back around and tie into one large, overarching story. A great start to Geoff Johns run on The Flash.

Outstanding! This was my first ever omnibus and I couldn’t be happier. I instantly purchased the second and third volumes after this. Man it was so great being able to read a huge chunk of a run back to back. I fell in love with the Flash’s rogues gallery, even though so many of them were kind of goofy. Captain Cold was my favorite by far in this. It felt like each arc could standalone on its own, but there was still something that was connecting it all, until that large arc at the end with the thinker and the rogues going after flash at the same time. The side characters were excellent as well. Chyre, Morillo, and Linda stood out the most as major contributors to this story. The art admittedly wasn’t my favorite, but the Scott Kolins sections were a lot better. I know the next two omnibuses get into reverse flash, then ends with flashpoint, so im anticipating to love those even more.

Can’t recommend this enough. If you love the flash or want to get into him. Pick this up!

Geoff Johns is an amazing writer. He made me care about the various Rogues and supporting characters of The Flash (Wally West being my fav Flash) in this run. Flash's Rogues are iconic only because of this incredible run by Geoff Johns.

The book starts off a bit slow, but once the second arc titled ',Blood Will Run' starts it becomes impossible to keep down the book! Plot points, details get carried over from arc to another culminating into an epic arc by the end of the book. The story further continues in Vol 2 and 3!

The Scarlett speedster, where to begin with this omnibus. It’s presented well with a great dust jacket and nice wrap around cover. The artwork is fantastic and carries some average comic issues. I did enjoy the omnibus which does have some great issues however, there are some average issues and some that I wasn’t clicking with.

It took me a while to get through it, I put it down between 200 and 300 pages but after a month or so I wanted to power through to see if it could change my mind and it did I enjoyed the last half of this omnibus a lot. I like wally west much more as a character now and there is good character development throughout.

I recommend if you are huge into the flash or want to learn about Wally west and more than the man behind the mask, however the fight scenes/ battle scenes for me are very short I feel like there’s a lot of building and in a majority of issues not a lot of payoff for reading.

When Geoff Johns took over The Flash in 2000, he wrote Wally West that is so relatable, the journey of reading became some thing that comics is just for kids alone, but it is for adults. I love how this run turns out, second to Mark Waid's before him. With artwork by Scott Kollins, Wally West's The Flash is a great read that really is a turning point for the speedster, its also a seriously well written read that I feel everyone should pick up and read. This omnibus version, is considered the correct reading order for anyone who wants to buy. I highly recommend it.

The writing is fantastic and the art is great, a really enjoyable read. The writing is good in one definable area, character development. This is especially evident with the villains who are given enough page time to really develop and explain their motivations. This is difficult as villains can easily become one dimensional, especially in a comic as old as Flash. The other part of writing is the story arcs. The main arcs were great and I always enjoy things being set up, and having the payoff much later. Really liked Vol. 1, bring on Vol. 2!

Things got off to a bit of a rocky start with a really weak Mirror World arc with utterly dreadful Angel Unzueta art, but things pick up proper over the next few hundred pages once the action returns to Keystone City and Scott Kolins takes over. Lots of focus on developing the Rogues so far. Wally feels a bit nondescript, though.

Geoff johns does a great job introducing the flash & his rouges gallery to new readers. You really start to care about Wally west and keystone city in a surprising way. With plenty of call backs for experts readers and a bunch of new villains there’s something for everyone to love in this omnibus

The book got more enjoyable as it went along. Chyre and Morillo were fun side characters. The art style wasn't my favorite, but everything was so colorful that it still was appealing to the eye. Enough plot points were set up that I'm eager to get into the second volume!

Guess you had to read this when it came out to appreciate the context. It’s not bad. But Wally building the Keystone Central Bridge was a pretty bad low point.

This was AMAZING!!! I loved it!!! I used to just like Barry Allen Flash but now I am also a fan of Wally West Flash. I like what Vic Stone said about Wally still being able to smile.

The start of John’s fantastic run on the Flash. What makes this run so great is the protagonist himself. Wally comes across as a fleshed out “real” guy. He isn’t a saint, but rather a young man trying his best to live up to his uncle’s legacy. John’s also does a great job writing the Rogues. Nothing is more fun than the banter between a group of villains.
