Everyone's a playboy... until they meet the real thing.
The whole crew is down in South Padre for one last hurrah. It's like a week-long stag party; we're making the best of our final spring break together. Next year will be all about what's real - real life, real job, and real obligations. But right now it's sun, sin, and string bikinis as far as the eye can see.
When Lyssa arrives on the scene, all my lazy playboy fantasies are replaced with old-fashioned courtship. I find myself holding hands, going on dates, and engaging in romance galore. I don't want to let her go, and I've only got a week to show her just how real this is for me.
After a single, stupid, bonehead remark puts everything in jeopardy, I'll need to prove to Lyssa I'm ready to start what's real... right now.
Is it getting hot in here? We sure hope so! It’s Spring Break season, and your favorite Flirt Club authors have put together some steamy, short stories about sexy times in the sun! So grab a piña colada and take a break while we heat things up for you. We promise you will get hot and bothered with our hunky heroes! Sun, sin, and string bikinis… everything’s going down.
Romance genre: Series: A Spring Breakers Short Story Length:
Plot: Tate and Lyssa are both in South Padre for Spring Break. Tate was content playing the field, but when he meets Lyssa that all changes. They have a great week together, with wooing and courting, and then Lyssa overhears him say something stupid and hurtful. He has to figure out how to make things right before she leaves.
Commentary: Again with the five million Spar Island Girls! There's an endless supply. That makes for a series that doesn't have to end, but I have to wonder how crowded the waters around their home are! This was a pretty realistic situation - guys can be so dumb about admitting their feelings to other guys. The misunderstanding didn't go on forever and she was able to forgive him once he fixed things. It was a short story so the conflict was an easy one to fix.
Previous book in the series:Mr. Black Next book in the series:His Buttercup Also a part of the Flirt Club Spring Breakers series (where they all go to South Padre or Cancun for Spring Break - a place you couldn't pay me to go to at that time of year!)
San Padre, jet skis, deep sea fishing and turtles.
Tate and Lyssa are both seniors in college on spring break in San Padre. Tate’s studying hydrology and Lyssa wants to raise goats to make cheese. They have fun in the sun for three days, bonding over shared interests. Every thing is going great until Tate is an AH and pulls a hurtful bonehead move. Will he ruin their spring break?

It was cute. And if your like me, and read through the reviews before rescinding the book, don't be out off by what I found some said, and the summery implies. I liked this couple cause the progressed quite naturally. And it was still a sweet not lil story. I found that unlike a lot of these novellas, the lil conflict wasn't over-dramatized, it was actually pretty real, the reactions and situations being exactly what we've all done in sitting around with a group of friends in our 20's... I liked that, it was something I could understand, in a way that makes it a very forgivable thing. And I liked that that's what the story did, it's something that felt more genuine to deal ppl and what that's do, as well as giving us that enjoyable short romance escape. ( Lil spoiler because the above is sounding confusing with my vagueness: basically the h and H are getting to know each other on vacation w/o The separate groups of friends, they were not enjoying spending time with the other and each were thinking that it was developing in to something more than what might usually be a spring fling. They had these feelings privately in their own minds, as they'd only spent 3 days together, our H Tate doesn't feel like explaining these things to mostly guys who are acquaintances with only one real friend while the group are out at a bar, they start to grill him a bit, like dumb friends do, and like a dumb dude he downplays it, and says some stupid remarked to shut his friend up, of course our H Lyssa happens to have just been waking up to them behind him and heard , he turns and calls for her, she holds up her hand to stop him, turns around and goes back to her friends and away from him, rightfully so... He looks for her seconded later and true to text her to fix it, she ignore him. And this is what I found a pretty real person course of response, he sees need a little later, feeling l like shit cause he didn't know if he just ruined a chance at something he saw going somewhere, she naturally tells him to piss off at first, but then says find in eating so u can sit down and try explaining why I should care if you are a her I like how you acted to your friends. He does, it's they have convo he Apologizes for his jerkface -ness, she gives him a lil bit of a hard time, but his apology is true and forgivable ... They move forward ... I loved that it wasn't a " misunderstanding " followed by lack of communication typical in the formula for these books , it was since act stupid, knows it, owned it, chick heads him out, it wasn't anything unforgivable and they move on from it pretty quickly and it wasn't unrealistic pushover h forgiving H too quickly, also like we read alot, it was simply fitting...) I pretty long review I just left... To the point in short-> A GOOD READ!👍👍 Click it and enjoy!
Short, sweet and steamy, this little story packs a punch. I e never did the whole “Spring Break” thing, had a spring fling since I’ve been with hubby since I was 17, but this is how I imagine it would be. Fun, flirty and a whole lot of steamy times!
Tate and Lyssa were just so cute together. Loved their banter, it was light, fun and so flirty.
***When we got to the strawberry crepes, Lyssa took a couple of bites, and then leaned back. “I can’t,” she said. “I’m stuffed. I think I’m going into a food coma.” I laughed. “I’ve fed you to death? I don’t know that my ego will ever recover.” “You give good food,” she said with a twinkle in her eye.
Neither expecting their spring fling to last longer than the week, they both were surprised at how much they were really attracted to the other. It was fun watching them hang out and enjoy themselves, getting to know each other.
Short and sweet but still leaves you feeling like you were on spring break with them. I enjoyed this little story.
Lyssa is a college student on her last year of school and on a trip for Spring Break with her girlfriends. She meets Tate when her girls don't notice that she hasn't started following them from the bar. They click instantly and when the girls do return they invite Tate and his friend over to their table. Tate and Lyssa hang out whenever she isn't with her girls and eventually end up in bed. Lyssa thinks this might be more than a fling until she overhears him playing down their relationship with his friends. Will Lyssa give him a chance to explain? Can they make something more of what was to be a fling?
This is a nice quick short story that will draw you in and leave you wanting more. The chemistry between them is scorching hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

Our hero and heroine are both on Spring Break, having one last party before starting real life. What they didn't expect was real romance as well.
This story is part of a loosely connected series of Spring Break stories by well established authors. I love these themed collections that they put out as it provides a variety of different takes on the same starting point. In this case, the theme is Spring Break.
This particular story is very well written and has two wonderful, well developed characters as our centerpiece. They have instant chemistry that is a pleasure to watch. Our hero does stumble along the way, but unlike some stories, here he knows it immediately and owns up to it, doing anything he can to fix it. All of which leads to a solid HEA. Overall, a very enjoyable read.
Highly recommended.

i read this book as part of an arc program. This book is part of A Spring Breakers Short Story series written by the Flirt Club, a variety of authors. In this book, Tate agrees to go on spring break after another guy backed out. Tate is a playboy and wants to enjoy a final party before he graduates. Lyssa is college student who dreams of having her own goat farm and making her own cheese. When she meets Tate, they go on a few dates and begin to grow closer. things are going well until Lyssa overhears something Tate said and he knows he screwed up. Tate tries to talk to her, but she doesn't want to hear excuses. I liked this story. I liked how Tate knew he was wrong from the beginning and was willing to do anything to prove it to her. Lyssa really cared for Tate and he hurt her, she knew he had to explain himself. Good one.
Lyssa is a senior majoring in Ag. Her dream is owning her own heard of goats and making and selling cheeses. Her there room mates and best friends talk her into going on Spring break, their last before jobs take them away from each other. Tate plans on doing nothing over spring break. When he graduated he has a dream job he will be starting when he graduates. He will be able to indulge his favorite past time, fishing. When a his friend needs a fourth for a spring break trip, Tate agrees as long as he gets a day he can fish. Tate and his friend meet Lyssa and her friends and they just seem to click. The more time Lyssa and Tate.spend together the more they feel they belong together. A fast paced Insta lust to love romance with a sweet epilogue.
This is part of the A Spring Breaker’s short story a selection of short stories by various authors from the flirt club and like always these reads are fast and fun reads that have you flipping the pages as fast as you can These series are fast becoming one clicks for me
Tate is an out and out playboy but he agrees to attend the final spring break for a group of friends who know that after this year they won't have parties like this as they will be part of the real world. During the party he meets LYssa and his playboy ways end instantly He is madly in love with this girl and quickly becomes the hand holding cliched boyfriend but when he causes a problem between them will he be able to get her to forgive him You will have to read to see
Tate & Lyssa are on spring break at South Padre with friends. When they meet & sparks fly, they don’t expect anything to last beyond the few days they are there. But as they get to know each other & no one else catches their eye, they realize this could be more than a casual fling. Until Lyssa overhears Tate’s conversation to his friends that makes her question her feelings for him.
This was a great read with realistic characters - new adults taking a last vacation with friends, who are about to finish college to start their careers. Both Tate & Lyssa are driven to succeed & they both love the outdoors & fishing. Looking forward to reading more Spring Breakers stories!
I enjoyed this Sprung Brrak story about Lyssa and Tate. It's the last year of college before graduation and real life kicks in. Lysa's girlfriends coax her into a trip on Spring Break, a last girls trip. Tate is begged to go on a Spring Brrak trip by his buddy Ricky because on the original guys bailed. Fate has a way of spinning the world and making those stars align. Thus is a great story on how these characters met, the instant chemistry they have and the heartbreak of Spring Brrak coming to an end has them feeling.

A very well written sweet short story with a nice storyline and plot. I like it is written in dual POV because that gives the reader more of the feelings and thoughts of the characters and makes it a more realistic read. Both characters with dreams and hopes for their future and no plans on finding the one to have the HEA with. But this spring break fate has its own plans for them. Chemistry all over and I liked the epilogue.
This was quick but great read. I couldn't put it down. This has become one of my favorite authors.
Lyssa and Tate meet during Spring Break. They are both seniors ready to start their next chapter in life. They have an instant connection. They have a great night but there was a miscommunication. Will they be able to work through it in order to find their happy ever after?

Another fun addition to the Spring Breakers series. Its spring break and Lyssa is going with her room mates to St. Padre Island for one last big party before they graduate. Tate agrees to join his buddies on spring break when another guy bails on the trip. Lyssa and Tate are immediately attracted to each other. Things are going great until Tate screws up. Will he be able to convince Lyssa to give him a chance to explain? Loved the epilogue!
Spring Break Delish by Laney Powell a five-star read that is as delish as hot apple pie. This was sweet and spicy an had a great level of will they wont they, the story has enough to keep you hooked and is short enough you can read it over a lunch break, but be warned you will be dreaming of sand and sea water in strange places all afternoon.
Love reading about the Spar Island Girls and how another one discovered love. I love how their relationship developed and even though they could feel the chemistry, they got to know each other. The anticipation was so worth it!

Delishhh...Lissy. Is what started it all, Lissy meeting her other half. They fit, though in the attempt to keep it personal, Tate had unintentionally hurt Lyssa and tried to explain. Thankfully, Lisa gave him the chance to and then they made history, them finding their place in the world together.

Spring break True love Lyssa and her friends are on spring break. There she meets Tate. This is an insta-love story. It's just how you could dream a spring break romance would be. Although, without the misunderstanding that could ruin it all. Loving the spring break short stories with all their swoon.
Laney Powell is fast becoming one of my favorites when it comes to short, sweet and hot insta-love stories. Well-written, the dual point of views from Lyssa and Tate makes the story pleasant to read. Even the secondary characters were lovable.
Now I wonder if the other girls in the group will get their own HEA?
Love means never having to say you're sorry. Unless, you really do something stupid. Spring Break Delish is a tempting charmer. Tate is the ultimate bachelor. He's the life of the party, until Cupid makes a play for his heart. Lyssa is the arrow he never saw coming, until his big mouth and his stupid actions are on the brink of ruining it all. Powell at her best.
This story is quite short, but none the less a good one. It has quite a good story line, good characters and surprisingly you don´t feel as there is so much missing from the story even though it is as short as it is. Overall I would say a good job done on this story and I can recommend this one.

A well written sweet quick romance! It is well developed, emotionally deep, witty, and funny with a few ups and downs. Loveable characters; their chemistry is intense, instant, and off the charts. It is a very exciting read and comes highly recommended.

Lyssa heads out with friends for their last spring break before heading out in the real world. When she meets Tate there is an instant attraction. Fun, great chemistry, romance, steam and a misunderstanding make this an enjoyable read and a great addition to the Spring Break Short Story series. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.
A great short read. I love how all the books from Laney Powell connect crossover characters. I enjoyed how Lyssa and Tate took their times to think about their feelings and if it was leading to something more long term than originally planned before they took the next steps in their relationship.
Lyssa and Tate have an instant attraction when they meet the first day of Spring Break and it only builds from there until Tate tries to downplay their connection to his friends and Lyssa overhears. Now Tate needs to convince her that they are meant for each other and his words aren't true. This is a really fun and sweet story.
wonderful such a love at first sight .. and especially if you dont expect it. I enjoyed this crackling chemistry and thats why it gets 5 stars from me.
