THE SWEETEST THING is the fifth book in the Sapphire Bay series and can easily be read as a stand-alone. Each of Leeanna's series is linked so you can find out what happens to your favorite characters in other books. Happy reading!
Leeanna Morgan is a USA Today bestselling author. She lives in New Zealand surrounded by green hills on one side and the ocean on the other. She enjoys going for long walks, especially if she can convince her husband and two children to go with her!
Leeanna writes contemporary romances set in Montana. Her books contain all of the things that are important to her; good friends, family, a strong sense of community, and a happy ending.
Small town romance, deceit and lies! Can someone forgive for the lies and trust you again or is it all lost forever? You have to read Leanna Morgan’s Sweetest Thing to find out! It one you don’t want to miss!
There are a lot of books where I get done and I’m wishing the book was longer, unfortunately this was not one of them. To be a bit brutal, this story could easily have been about 3/4 the length or even a bit shorter.
The author is new to me and I am picking the series up in the 5th book. One of the big struggles in long series is keeping readers up to date on previous leads while also keeping the story for the main characters moving. There were times here where it really seemed the secondary cast was taking over. This caused me to feel like I didn’t really know either of the leads.
I also struggled a little bit with the relationship between the lead characters. They spent very little time together, they seemed to have little communication between visits and were arguing half the time. Given that scenario, how can strong romantic feelings develop?
If someone has been reading this series from day 1, this could be a great book for them. There were not any major flaws, but I will say that it was not a book that makes me want to run out and buy more.
Cassie is a very talented jeweler, who designs, created and sells her jewelry in her own jewelry store.I'm a small town. Her friend secretly enters her in a prestigious original jewelry contest . Enter Noel CEO of the company sponsoring the contest. They have strong chemistry but Noel loves in NY. He wants her designs and her. Her father who she inherited her talent from was falsely sued for copying another designer . Her dad was persecuted by the media and lost everything including his home and reputation. Inspire of being found not guilty. Noel"s company was contracting with the accuser so they paid all the liars legal fees. Caddies mother was getting cancer treatments. They ended up homeless for six months. Even though that mess was four years ago it made Cassie use another name professionally. The past drives a wedge between them. I took a star of because Casie was so damaged by the past and she and Her dad forgive Noel too easily. And of course it's a HEA. Leanne Morgan is a talented writer.
This is the fifth book in the series and although technically can be a standalone I would recommend reading the other books in the series first. This author incorporates the secondary characters into the story a lot and if you haven’t read the previous books that loses something for the reader.
This book was Cassie and Noah’s story. I have to admit it is not my favorite in the series. I had a hard time getting into the relationship between these two. Cassie is a jewelry designer who has won a prestigious award from Noah’s company. Her past keeps her away from the spotlight and Noah wants to bring her into it so he can get her the recognition she deserves.
There are some moments I really enjoyed, but overall I just struggled with how these two fit with each other and Sapphire Bay. ⭐️⭐️⭐️
After her Dad is ruined by accusation of stealing another jeweler's design and her family is left homeless and her Mom passed away with cancer Cassie leaves the big city for a quite town to make her jewelry under her Mom's maiden name. A new friend submits one of her designs to big corp for contest and it wins the award. Cassie refuses to go to NY for fear that someone will bring up the past and her Dad will suffer again. The CEO of Wilson Corp comes to town to convince her and they fall in love. After he gets her to agree to work with his company it comes out that his company paid legal fees of man that accused her Dad of theft. She has hard time getting past that but, her Dad helps her. They end up happy and both living in Sapphire Bay. Looking forward to book 6
This is the second book I have read in the Sapphire Bay collection and I was just as pleased with this one as I was the first. Even though I am going out of order with them (as I chase free books on the Books app), that didn’t make the storyline difficult to follow, nor did it make the characters any less lovable.
I enjoy the various backstories that Ms. Morgan has given the main and supporting characters both. She weaves in just enough detail to make you love them all and hope for another book where they are the main character.
I really appreciated the touch about Cassie and her family having previously been homeless tying into the tiny home build at the community center.
Overall, just a very nice love story. Can’t wait to read more of the Sapphire Bay collection!

The Sweetest Thing. What can I say about this book it is truley outstanding. I'm loving the Sapphire Bay collection. Cassie as come to Sapphire Bay to keep a low profile after her Dad was accused of Coping another Artist's Jewellery collection. Then she wins an award and the CEO will stop at nothing for her to come and get it. This book will make you Laugh Cry smile & Dream of living in Sapphire Bay. Don't hesitate buy the whole Sapphire Bay Collection today it's AMAZING.. 😀😀 XX
A sweet and thoughtful romance with compelling characters and an engaging premise set in a picturesque community. The plot seemed a bit weak, though, and inconsistent at times.
The story of Cassie and Noah confirmed the resilience of a strong person to get through any of lives difficulties while retaining a kind heart and forgiving spirit.
Cassie may have stopped running but she still lives in fear that the past will catch up with her and destroy the life she has built. She has an amazing talent but lacks self confidence, is quiet but determined and will do anything she can to help those in need. Noah threatens the safety she has found and whilst he makes her heart race he also reminds her of everything she left in her previous life...can they find a middle ground or are their hopes and dreams just too different? Noah is used to getting his own way no matter what it takes and until he meets Cassie very few people have ever said no to him, but not only does Cassie say no, she also makes him take a long hard look at his business practices and makes him re-evaluate what is important in life. Cassie and Noah are easy to fall for, they both have weaknesses and quirks but they are funny, sweet, loving, damaged and not perfect, it gives us all hope! Another sweet visit to Sapphire Bay and all the amazing characters who live there!
