Loved the beginning of "How to Live Alone:" "Steven's ghost is breathing on her neck."

Abby Frucht has long been a favorite novelist of mine. This is my first foray into her short stories. Here, she's like a third-person Lorrie Moore (though she does first person too). Not a lot of internal dialogue, which turns out to be fun in these tales of everyday wackiness.

These short stories were addictive. I especially appreciated Frucht's insightful understanding of male/female relationships. A terrific collection!
