This book is full of energy and life. I think that it would be a great fit for younger kids. This traditional literature never gets old to me and it doesn't for anyone else. that's why they keep making them. Overall a fun read for young kids and a quick read through for older kids.

Genre: Traditional Literature
Grade Level: preK-1st grade

This children's fantasy is a perfect read for prekindergarten to first grade. It has several life lessons and its so interesting that I think it would keep the children attention throughout the entire book! Pokey and Lazy rely on the hard work of their brother Will to save them from the wolf.

In this fairly upbeat version of the tale, each little pig has a name, and each manages to escape the wolf's jaws by running to the next brother's house. In the end, the wolf falls into a pot of boiling water, but is able to run away, not much worse for the wear. According to the final illustration, the piggies moved back home for a happily-ever-after ending. Short and sweet version for toddlers.

There are so many versions of this book. I thought this version was appropriate for young children. It's not too long and there is no blood shed at the end (everyone was alive at the end...lol. My 5 year old likes this book.

Really cute pictures and a nice re-telling of the story...I added at least one star since A read it to us tonight, and made up her own ending...(in our house, the pigs always cook up the wolf and have him for dinner at the end!)
