Another Chance
Another chance! How much we all want one, no matter how many we've been given before. Again and again we fail and wish we might start over. And the great and powerful God, who has every right to be offended by our sinfulness, graciously gives us another chance after chance after chance. This book focuses on the messages of Ezra and Nehemiah. When the book of Ezra opens God's people are exiles, ruled by idol worshipers because of the highhanded way they have rejected God's rulership. By the end of Nehemiah, we are filled with a renewed sense of hope as we see how the exiles have matured spiritually and returned to God. In spite of all God's blessings, the Israelites had let Him down. Yet he gave them another chance.
