Never accept gifts from strangers… Especially if it glows…
Ginny’s first mistake was becoming one of the world’s leading experts on ancient civilizations...
Her second mistake was getting kidnapped by Atlantean cultists who believed she knew more than she did...
Her third?
Accepting an energy vortex from a captive mer-prince.
Its reality-altering power entangles her in the millennia-long conflict between Atlantis and the Lords of the Ocean—the mer-people.
To free the mer-prince, she will have to trust a man afflicted with a chimeric personality and tormented by conflicted memories. She’ll have to figure out how to control the devastating power the mer-prince entrusted to her…
Because if she doesn’t succeed, Atlantis will rise again, and all the human nations of the Earth will fall.
Jade Kerrion, an award-winning author, got her start in fan fiction. She developed a loyal reader base with her fan fiction series based on the MMORPG Guild Wars. She was accused of keeping her readers up at night, distracting them from work, housework, homework, and (far worse), from actually playing Guild Wars.
And then she wondered why just screw up the time management skills of gamers? Why not aspire to screw everyone else up too? So here she is, writing books that aspire to keep you from doing anything else useful with your time.
She lives in Fort Lauderdale, Florida with her wonderfully supportive husband and her two young sons, Saint and Angel, (no, those aren't their real names, but they are like saints and angels, except when they're not.)
The "Cursed Prince" is everything the blurb promises!!! Heart-pounding, action-packed, full of adventure and a perfect blend of of urban fantasy, mythology and science fiction. As with all of Jade Kerrion's books I've read, this one is well-written, with well-developed characters and great plot twists. Anxiously waiting for the next book in the series!

I loved this start to the Lord of the Ocean series! It is the start of more adventures with characters we previously met in the Daughter of Air series and is a great way to continue the story. I would recommend reading the Daughter of Air series first as a lot of the events discussed in Cursed Prince will make more sense if you've read it.
Ginny has been thrust into an ancient battle between the mer-people and the descendants of Atlantis. As her partner, a man with three different personalities inside of one body, and her race to free the prince and return him to the ocean, Ginny has to learn to come to grips with her new place in this war or find a way to return the strange energy vortex that the prince gave her. The only problem is, it nearly kills the prince every time Ginny uses it. As if that weren't enough, the cult followers of Atlantis are chasing the trio the whole way, trying to locate the rest of the mer-people to end this war for good.
As I said before, I definitely recommend you read the Daughter of Air series before starting this book, but if you have, then you'll have an idea what to expect from this one. It's more great adventure and mystery set in the same world, shortly after those events. I have loved the journey so far and am excited to read more in this world. If you love fast adventures and complex characters, you'll enjoy this series. Jade does a great job with the story and books are well written and quick to read.

A real fast paced thrilling novel which keeps the reader on the edge of their seat from start to finish. This is the first book in another series about the mer folk, in the previous series we had encountered Asha and Varun and this time round we are reading about Kai, the mer-Prince, and Asha's grandson and Ginny, Varun's friend. An old war between Atlantis and the Baltiamatu has been ignited once again, Kai has been kidnapped by cultists and kept in the temple of Inanna, he is being kept in a tank with water which is so polluted he has to surface to breathe! Kai thinks he will die in the tank, so when he meets Ginny, who is also a captive he hands her the aether vortex. She escapes taking this with her, little knowing the power she is holding. She returns to the temple with Zamir who is now no longer recognisable as the mer-King he once was and they save Kai. Jacob a descendant of Atlantis hates the Baltiamatu with a vengeance and no matter how far Kai and Ginny run he vowed they would not escape him. Kai on the other hand was riddled with guilt for a decision he had taken, which ended up wiping out the mer city of Shulim and he felt he had no right to return to the ocean. However Ginny was adamant, she would save Asha's grandson no matter what and the risks to their lives were massive. Love the characters in this book and really enjoy reading about the mer-folk so am looking forward to the next 2 books in this series which started off so strongly!
“He shattered his empire to save the world”. The story beings with Kai , a merman and prince to the mer-people, trapped in a tank and being tortured for information. In sneaks Ginny, a professor and although she can’t free him he transfers. A energy orb to her. The orb sinks into her chest. She caught, drugged and dumped off but is plagued by dreams. She enlists the help of her ships captain, who is way more than he seems, and they are able to attempt to free the prisoner. Ginny, the only truly human of the three, becomes unwilling involved in a war older than humanity. This war was between the mer-people and the descendants from Atlantas. To make it worse she now holds the power source each side needs to build their civilizations back up.
Sound complicated, well it is. This book has a very complex storyline with many characters. The scenes and characters are well defined allowing the reader to be absorbed in the drama. The whole book is action packed and the fight scenes are particularly well written. There is a lot of background information spewed throughout the book so it is important to not skip pages. It is a highly imaginative and creative story that keeps one interested from beginning to end. Once you get the terminology down it is easy to read. For those who love action, complex storytelling and science fiction, this book would be a great addition to your reading list.

Cursed Prince is yet another amazing book written by Jade Kerrion. Yes I admit, I am a fan and have read pretty much every book she has written to date! The Lord of the Ocean series is basically a follow up series of the Daughter of Air series, and gosh it is just AMAZING!
I don't know how this author does it, but she has an incredible imagination that comes up with this plot that is just perfect. It has great twists hiding in her plot that just give her writing a new dimension. Her plots are very well developed and follow a perfect pace. There is always something happening that keep you glued to the pages. You never feel like the story is dragging out nor does the author ever rush you through the story.
We are now following Ginny who is a fun character, a heroine unlike any others, one who really fell into her situation. She really rises to the occasion, time after time after time and does whatever it takes to try and help was much as she can at whatever costs! And then of course there is Kai, another amazing character who struggles with who is and what is expected of him. And lastly Zamir, oh do I feel for him. He struggles with who and what he is and how he now can help on what he has done.
This book is absolutely amazing and I for one can't find out what will happen next!
I just major-league on Cursed Prince, Cursed Throne and Cursed Legacy, the first three books in Jade Kerrion’s Lord of the Ocean series. The only reason I didn’t read book 4 is that it’s not out yet (drat and other comments). Trust me, this stuff is highly addictive. Also highly exciting, highly enjoyable - and superbly written. I’m not sure which of the three books I liked the most as I’m still going through a bit of post-reading bliss and they were all so much fun. My recommendation: get these ASAP but don’t start reading them late night as you’ll likely also have problems putting them down. And, oh yeah, it’s best to start this goodness with book 1. But for the fact that I’m literally dictating this review to my husband from my hospital bed I could go on and on with praises. The books definitely deserve it. Since I can’t do that I will simply note that each book is most definitely “one to read” (so long as they’re read in order), and it is easy to highly recommend them all. I’m definitely looking forward to the next book in this series.
This is the first book in the Lord of the Ocean series, a story arc that follows the action in Daughter of Air series. This series involves Kai (the Mer-prince) and his fight to restore his people, as well as protect both them and the humans against the Atlanteans. And it kicks off in style with this first book, which is about Ginny and Zamir's fight to save Kai and return him to the sea, whilst being pursued and attacked by the Atlanteans and their cult (and a mystery guest!). It's a great start to the new series and I really enjoyed reading it. It's full of adventure, action, fighting, drama, all of the fantasy elements mentioned above plus a sprinkling of elemental magic too! I highly recommend it to everyone who enjoyed the Daughter of Air series, and if you haven't read that one yet, give it a whirl - you'll find both those books and this very addictive reading! I can't wait to get started on book 2 next!! NB I received a complimentary copy of this book, but I always give an HONEST review based wholly on my own opinions
I am loving the Lord of the Ocean series. I just finished all three books Cursed Prince, Cursed Throne, and Cursed Legacy and they are great! If you've read the Daughter of Air series then you know this series is a spin-off and takes us on a magical journey full of drama, action, adventure, magic and so much more. This series is so good that once I started reading book one I had a hard time putting it down and within two days I have read them all. I highly recommend you read the Daughter of Air series before starting this one but believe me you will not be disappointed. I look forward to reading anything this author comes up with next. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book and series.
Wow what a story and this is book 1 to the Lord of the Ocean and I absolutely loved it but then that’s Jade Kerrion’s stories for you they always have plenty of action, adventure, danger, drama, magic and so much more to keep you entertained and turning the pages. Sorry guys no spoilers so read the blurb and that will give you the gist to this story, great characters fantastic scenes and plot but I do recommend that you read Daughter of the Air series first if not then that’s fine but this is still an amazing story and I can’t wait to read book 2 and I highly recommend this book it’s definitely well worth the read.
I loved how this series picked up from the ending of the previous series and that the focus of this spin off is on a different, but known group of people from before. It has been different getting into the heads of Kai, Zamir, and Ginny. This story is just as exciting and addictive as the previous series. I love how you never know what is going to happen next and which turn is going to lead to more action. I can't wait to continue following with all the excitement. I am really loving that I don't know what is going to happen next or where this is all going.
After finishing the Daughter of Air series I was stoked that there was another series to jump on as I wasn't ready to leave that world yet. We get to know more about Ginny, Zamir and Kai and boy do they all have issues they need to deal with especially Kai and Zamir! There is some great tension, twists and surprises as we see the new team of 3 try and work out what to do about the aether vortex and Kai who is not dealing well with well anything!

I received a copy of this book for a fair and honest review. This is the first book in a series about a Merman named Kai who is a prince that wants to restore his people to their rightful place. He has been take captive and that is how he meets Ginny. She is pulled into this world by cultists. There is a secret conflict between Atlantis and the Lords of the Ocean. This was the first book I have read anything where Atlantis coming back is bad thing. It is a bit crazy feeling for me while reading this series.
DNF @ 10%. I picked this up because the premise sounded intriguing and I really wanted to read an epic mermaid novel with magic and romance, but I gave up shortly after I started it. This book clearly struggles from pacing and development issues. I was only 10% in and yet I was getting whiplash from the writing going back and forth between trying to do an action scene and then switching to info-dumping and world-building. Realistically, this book should probably be twice as long as it is for what it is trying to achieve. It's just too much in too short of a time. DNF.
It has taken me a time to finish this, only because life gets in the way. This is one of the most awesome fantasy series around and also the most annoying and addictive. The reason it’s annoying is that one Baddie in particular ( no spoilers here) just will not die. But it also intensified the reading. Jade’s storytelling is second to none and I’ll be reading the next book very soon. Excellent book.
Cursed Prince by Jade Kerrion is an amazing story that I have read and fell in love with. This is book number one in this amazing start to a brand new series that I have loved reading and can not wait to read more. I highly recommend this story to everyone who loves reading about Science and General Fantasy in their stories.

Jacob and his cult minions were the perfect bad guys in this story. Ginny the scientist, Kia the merman and his grandfather that was in the body of a human were unique characters in an exciting and interesting story of cat and mouse with the bad guys. Great story

Jade Kerrion has done it again with her new series Lord of the Ocean. Her characters and story lines are well written and keep you reading without wanting to put the book down. Looking forward to seeing what comes next in this series. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Comes into the story already started even though says book one.
An interesting premise, good action and characters. Feels like a continuation of another story which gives a slightly lost feeling of not quite knowing what is going on. Although really good, seems other books need to be read first to really enjoy.
I think I might have missed reading other books before this one? Maybe it was a spin off from the authors other series? But either way once you get to know the characters and what they are setting out to accomplish it is good. I just might have to go back and search to see if there was a story before this story that introduced these set of characters.
I can't accuse this one of being passive. This story had lots of action, fighting, and chaos. That's the problem I had with it, there was just to much. Almost every page was this epic battle between the mer-Prince and the Atlantean, it became repetitive and boring for me.
Again, Jade Kerrion managed to convey a story that involved old legends, old history, exotic locale, and mix them into a haunting story on vengeance, honor, PTSD, and millennium old agreement.
A great introduction to the work of Made Kerrion! I liked how the author draws the reader into the plot and the ability to paint a sense of realism for the reader.

DNF at 17% or so. It's supposed to be a first book in a new series. I checked that about three or four times while reading the first few chapters, but I felt like I was coming in on a second book, or in the middle of the first. It felt like I missed something. I gave up.
Good read lots of action and twists and turns, love the interaction between the characters, good storyline but started out slower pace than I expected but still a good read
Kai's story continues. Depending on a couple of humans to help get him out of reach from a fanatical cult claiming to originate from Atlantis, Kai battles the after effects of the aether. Can he overcome his past failures?
This book is a spin off of the original Cursed series. I was not as impressed with the first one in this series... I am starting book 2 hoping it will get a little better...
