What I noticed first about this book that I like is idea that communication is the key to a good relationship. When you are in love, and thinking about marriage, the communication is mostly about the current status. When you chose to get married, this book tells you which communication is important before you walk down the aisle. Money, children, beliefs , intimacy and more. This book takes each of these topics and asks how you would handle different situations and how your partner would handle the same situations. This is a very eye opening exercise. It opens communications that you would not have thought to talk about. It allows you to head off conflict before it even happens. I wish I would have had this book when I got married in 1995.

I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book provided by the publisher.

My fiancé & I sat down for an hour a day to complete this book together. It goes into depth about basic topics & things that you may forget to discuss with each other. It's an excellent starting point for not only couples who are engaged but also new or established couples who are trying to understand each other. I'll definitely recommend it to family & friends :D

I think everyone should be required to go through this workbook together before getting married. There were some chapters that didn’t feel very relevant to us since we’ve been together for 8 years and already worked through some of the things the book went over, but it was still very helpful and sparked good conversations.

This book sparked great conversations with my fiancé. We had already discussed many of the topics that are brought up, but the book goes more in depth and brings up topics that we had not thought of. We thoroughly enjoyed learning more about one another through this book.
