I fled to the mountains to get away from women. They all wanted a piece of my fortune, but I wasn't about to give them anything. I didn't want romance. I didn't want love. Until I saw Savannah. Young. Innocent. Wandering through the wilderness by herself. I followed her to make sure she was safe from the beasts lurking inside the darkness. But who's going to protect her from the beast lurking inside me? The obsessive one who wants to own her. The one who wants to steal her away from where she can never escape. She's striking something deep and primal in me and I don't know if I can hold it back. And there's no one around to stop me.

She went on a hike alone after she's had enough of her mother's new boyfriend and his friends. But she later found out she's not alone.
He's a wealthy mountain man. One look at her and he knew he had to have her. He followed her and watched her from a distance to keep her safe. How long will he keep his distance? Will he let her go if she doesn't want anything to do with him?
So I read this as an arc and was really at odds with myself about it. The ending was good with a HEA and an epilogue several years out. However, their beginning left a bad taste in my mouth. Where the hero was meant to come off as OTT alpha (I’m assuming) his inner dialogue was creepy and I know some would say it had an “against her will” vibe. Lots of talk of taking her and doing what he wanted whether she liked it or not. Or the things he would do, even if she fought him off etc
-no cheating -no ow/om drama -older man/younger woman. She just turned 18 and his age was not mentioned although she thought he looked the be in his 30’s or 40’s -violence - she had been in the mountains with her mother and her moms boyfriend as well as his friends and they were “handsy” with her so she set off on her own -very steamy and lots of dirty talking -neither with others after meeting. She was a virgin and his sexual past was not mentioned -epilogue several years later
Pretty short and truly Alpha like super alpha!! Fast pace easy read.
Savannah had enough of being around her drunk mother and her creepy bf and his friends she decided to take off from the cabin and explore a hiking path.. little did she know she caught the eye of a rough growly mountain man who is determined to keep his little fox safe and keep her as his own.. i did enjoy Sava she had tiny bit of a backbone and tried to run away from Hunter when they first meet.. and she called him crazy lol but it didn't last since well he saved her from a bear.. so she fell in love with him more.. things get hot and heavy between the two and i love that she got to finish the trail something she wanted to do!! Also we got to see Hunter deal with the crappy mom's bf and his pervy friends..
No cheating, no ow/om drama unless you count rhe creepy drunk friends of her moms boyfriend who were pervy and tried to touch her, dramaish, sexy times, didnt say about his past but didnt seem like a manwhore & a virgin gal
Instalove/lust Slight push/pull from h Older/younger couple Safe No condom Hea Epilogue 2 of them few months and 9 years later
One look and he knew he would follow her across any mountain. -safe read -h is a virgin -no talk on H history -slight om drama from moms boyfriend that wants her -good epilogues (7 months and 10 years)
“Mountain Man Taken” is another quick, fun, entertaining, OTT read from the fantastical imagination of Olivia T. Turner. Skillfully written and extremely fast-paced, the story-line features a sweet, innocent, young woman fleeing an abusive home-life and the older, bearded beefcake who ultimately rescues her. Written from dual POV with no cheating, no ow/om drama, two epilogues and an extremely satisfying HEA.
Warning: Only those into OTT obsessive, possessive, dirty talking, burly mountain men… with large appendages should read this novella.
Disclaimer: No Kindles were seriously harmed while reading this novel. Children 18 and over only due to overtly sexual content!
Disclaimer for the Disclaimer… the term “seriously harmed” is not intended to include: overheating, scorch marks, minor melting or inconsequential fire that can be put out with an extinguisher. Fire retardant gloves highly recommended while reading.
There’s nothing I won’t do to protect what’s mine.
This one might be my favorite of the Mountain Men series! I loved Savannah and Hunter. Savannah is escaping from her mom's creepy boyfriend and meets Hunter in the woods when she's naked in the lake. He's immediately "MINE MINE MINE". I loved it, as unrealistic and comedic that it is- it's also very romantic and swoon worthy!
important bits: virgin heroine age gap OM drama (unwanted) no cheating safe HEA & epilogues ♡
This was a fair book but I struggled with the names he gave her body parts. It wasn't like some books where it's only said once or twice. It was a bit of a turnoff for me. It did have a sweet ending with five children that were born within ten years. It isn't a book I would choose to read again.
Savanah is in way over her head in several ways. The fact that she caught the attention of Hunter being one of them. This book is really over-the-top. Usually I'm game for that but this seemed kind of... forced, I guess it's the best word for it.
Hunter is very much a possessive alpha who gets to bare his teeth a few times. It's hot but Savanah is ALL over the place and drove me a little bonkers.
I received an author's copy of the audio book and occasionally read along with my ebook. The narrators are Beth Roeg and Lucas Webley. I think it's the first time I've listened to either. From a general sound perspective, the voices are good matches for the characters but I didn't like the cadence. I'll give both narrators another chance and hope this was a bad fluke.
Savannah finds herself on her own, on a mountain, with a measly tent and a torn backpack full of canned beans and essentials. Little does she know, there is a very Alpha male following her, making sure she is safe, and no harm comes to her. Mountain Man Taken is a very quick read, but it kept me glued to my seat until I finished it. Wonderful story!
This book was a little over the top for me. Although you still get the alpha male and the damsel in distress, it is a bit much.
Hunter is a man that has little to do with women. However, when he finds Savannah on his mountain with very little to live off of he decides to help her along by stealing her away and bringing her home with him. However, Savannah is having none of it. She wants to live her life and get away from her family. Hunter is having none of that. Who is going to win this argument?
I'm afraid this book let me down. I was hoping for the great just OTT Alpha novella, the OTT part I got, but when compared to book 1 I found it lacking.
I didn't get enough time to really connect. I was very much a wham bam fuck me now scenario, however Savannah was so up and down, back and forth in this book that I got dizzy.
It had a good start, but then it sort of went down hill, then it got slightly better but then it suddenly ended.
The author does write straight to the point smut with little world building content, which works very well in plenty of her books, just not this time. It felt super rushed this time sadly.
Savannah Foster is young and beautiful. She recently turned 18-years-old and has been poor her entire life. She’s escaped her cabin into the woods as surviving the wilderness is her only option after her drunk mom turned a blind eye to her boyfriend and his buddies getting too handsy with Savannah. Hunter Wright is a brute of a man. He prefers isolation and solitude in the mountains. He’s very wealthy and has everything he could ever want or need. Except he spots Savannah and wants her forever. He stalks her in the woods and follows her on the trail. I did find his approach a bit strange. Instead of making himself known to Savannah, he continues to stalk her quietly on the trail and even visits her as she’s sleeping. In the end, he does make his presence known. Savannah fights the attraction because Hunter is definitely a caveman. He isn’t really swoon-worthy. He just tells her that she is his and she can’t leave.
This book is very descriptive and hot but I mean descriptive of the people (mostly scum to include her mother) and the scenery (which sounds beautiful). Oh, his home sounds awesome! OK I got carried away but Savannah has had a hard life with a mother who could care less about her. She just turned eighteen and her mother takes her to visit her boyfriend who has three friends there too. All they do is drink and try to molest her. She packs up a backpack and goes up a mountain trail. Hunter saw her in town heading up his mountain he knew she was his to protect and love. He followed her knowing she wasn't dressed correctly and she'd need help along the way. Read how things go for them. He's very strong and overbearing but he is a good guy. I hope you will enjoy it as much as I have. Written by Cindy :)
18 yo FMC escaping creepy friends of her mom, only to be stalked through the forest by the OTT MMC. His reason for following her for so long while she struggled camping was pretty weak though. Especially since he basically kidnaps her after all. Heads up, he also has some dubconish thoughts but doesn't act on them.
Skip this if you don't like corruption/virgin & breeding kink... because the MMC mentions those a lot.
I loved this hot spicy story. The author did such a great job you feel like you're really on the trail with the characters. With the heat and trees and dirt. I had read some of the other reviews and was wondering if any of them read the same story I did or just chose not to pay attention. Hunter is a recluse mountain man and admits that he doesn't have very good communication skills and sends other women running. Savannah is 18 and nothing is forced at all in this book. They way this story play out is really good. Hunter literally says Savannah is his number 1 priority which is awesome. He protects her and loves her. Give this one a read this Olivia T. Turner never disappoints!
This author always makes me smile with her books. Every time I start reading, I know that I will love the "Over-the-top" Alpha man going after what he wants. This book captures that extremely well.
The instant attraction between Hunter & Savannah was explosive & I became totally immersed within the pages, turning frantically just to find out what happened next!
I wholeheartedly recommend this book to everyone - It's a really sweet & steamy read that will leave you feeling all warm & fuzzy!
Brilliant read Savannah goes hiking to get away from her mum and boyfriend and the others guys who keep touching her. Hunter sees Savannah in town and knows he has to make her his. Hunter follows her and makes sure she is ok he can’t wait any longer and makes himself known when Savannah is in lake. Hunter knows what he wants and he will make sure he gets it Savannah is liking how he takes control but also how he looks after her. If you like sexy, obsessive, protective of what’s his then this book is for you
Hunter sees Savannah from a distance. He is attracted to her immediately. Savannah leaves her mother with her boyfriend and his no good friend's. She made her choice to go hike in the mountains. During her hike. She gets a protecter in a sense. Hunter wants Her all to himself. He has found his one in Savannah even though he doesn't know her. This trip in the mountains is hot and steamy. Also wild in a couple of different ways. I liked the whole older gentleman but possessive. And younger girl.
Taking a walk in the woods can be very interesting. This was a good book. Hunter and Savannah meet when Savannah decides to "hike" a trail, but isn't really prepared for doing that. Hunter watches out for Savannah until he decides she needs to know she is his. Savannah isn't sure about Hunter, but comes to appreciate him and him caring for her. They were a funny couple and I liked that he helped Savannah. This is an enjoyable story and definitely worth the read.
Mountain Man Taken is a new series by Olivia T Turner. Hunter is a sexy bearded hunk of a man living in the Montana mountains and Savannah is the young innocent virgin that he decides he wants. It's insta love for the possessive OTT alpha Hunter and he is just what Savannah needs. Lets not forget the super sexiness that only Olivia T Turner can deliver. Her books never disappoint.
