The Bible is Black History
We live in an age when younger African-American Christians are asking tough questions that previous generations would dare not ask. This generation doesn't hesitate to question the validity of the Scriptures, the efficacy of the church and even the historicity of Jesus. Young people are becoming increasingly curious as to what role, if any, did people of African descent play in biblical history? Or, if the Bible is devoid of Black presence, and is merely a book by Europeans, about Europeans and for Europeans to the exclusion of other races and ethnicities? Dr. Theron D. Williams makes a significant contribution to this conversation by answering the difficult questions this generation fearlessly poses. Dr. Williams uses facts from the Bible, well-respected historians, scientists, and DNA evidence to prove that Black people comprised the biblical Israelite community. Dr. Williams also presents historical evidence that links some in the African-American community to the Lost Tribes of Israel. He also shares historical images from the ancient catacombs that vividly depict the true likeness of the biblical Israelites. This book does not change the biblical text, but it will change how you understand it.

Fascinating. Solid 4 stars. Wish it was longer even!

The Bible Is Black History was an engaging and thought-provoking read. I appreciated the author's storytelling ability and the way the book encouraged readers to explore the historical connections between the Bible and Black history. It gave me a sense of strength, identity, and curiosity to learn more.
The reason I am giving it three stars instead of a higher rating is that I was looking for more concrete historical evidence to support some of the claims presented. Given how much history has been debated, interpreted, and, at times, diluted over the years, I found myself wanting additional documentation and verifiable sources.
That said, the book was still impactful and well-written. If stronger historical evidence had been provided for the points that raised questions for me, this could easily have been a five-star read. Overall, I found it inspiring, informative, and worth reading for those interested in exploring this perspective on biblical and historical narratives.

This book was enlightening and enjoyable. Dr. Theron D. Williams did a fantastic job of incorporating biblical, historical, and scientific facts, while also keeping the material interesting. This is a book that I will surely revisit many times again.

This book really opened my eyes and I love that is uses scriptures. I’m definitely reading the Bible with my eyes open and seeing more and more evidence.

Excellent book with so much history and facts to support it! Easy to read and understand without being to overwhelming.
