The Twisted Tomahawk

Here we go again!

Fortune has smiled on savvy private investigator, Mark Tonnick. On retainer with the mega-telecommunication conglomerate, AC&C, he is happily drawing a steady check doing background checks and other mundane chores. All that changes when he is suddenly tasked to solve an extraordinary case-one with supernatural overtones and a potentially deadly outcome.

Tonnick, along with the object of his unrequited desire, Delinda Djinn, once again plunges into danger attempting to unravel the mystery of how an AC&C optical cable was discovered on sacred Native American land. In addition to being a contract violation that threatens the company financially, it might also be responsible for raising the spirit of a long-dead Shaman from the grave-setting in motion a string of kidnappings, a slew of unexplained events and a growing body count.

Cynical and skeptical detective that he is, Tonnick is wary of all the occult ramifications that are supposedly in play. Besides working with a beautiful woman who claims to be a genie, he is also partnered with Al Klepios-who until recently was nearly immortal, to salvage AC&C's good name. As if that wasn't enough, Tonnick runs afoul of a vicious crime boss when he tries to clear his former nemesis, Brent Todd, of an Internal Affairs corruption charge.

Whether it's dodging bullets or sending evil spirits back to where they came from, Detective Mark Tonnick is on the case!

Great fun adventure!

Reading should never be boring and Steve doesn’t write boring. Fun, funny, entertaining and fast paced, these books keep me up nights to see where they go. A bit of fancy, a bit of magic, a bit of quick thinking! Not terribly complicated for the avid mystery and fantasy reader but wonderful in their own right. Read these books, they’re good.
