Lifelong builder and humanitarian turned writer and webmaster.

Bricklayer by trade with a penchant for carpentry, writing, t'internet and learning as much as possible about this interesting world of ours. Incurably autodidactic.

Long term Englishman abroad, Uganda, a little bit of Rwanda, Kenya & Tanzania, New Zealand and now living close to the beach in Norway with my Norwegian wife, raising two kids, a few chickens and a whole bunch of weeds.

Graduated from the University of Lincoln with a masters degree in Trauma and Disaster Management, although my loves have evolved into the restoration of brickwork using traditional lime mortars and providing occasional consultancy services to aid projects in East Africa.

If I'm not making stuff I am writing about making stuff and sometimes I get paid to make stuff. Sweet.
