There was a prophecy that one woman would stop the self-proclaimed diaboloist Siegfried Kass and his worshippers who kept bringing him back from the dead again and again. That woman, Opaline Chance, is dead. The Kult of Kass, led by the diaboloist himself, ambushed her and snuffed out her life.
But she had a little sister, Othelia. Everyone assumed the prophecy then meant her, and she would gain the power to destroy him. Everyone including the Kult of Kass. But she didn't, and as a professional thief, she did the thing she was best at... she ran away. Now the Kult is at full strength and unchecked, and someone will need to do something about it.
In the second story in the Last Chance Chronicles, Othelia will have to come out of hiding to help her friends, even though it means facing shadows she has no chance of escaping from.
