Jessica has demystified the preparation of animal foods in over 100 recipes carved down to the most essential ingredients: meat and animal fat. The Carnivore Cookbook contains a solid core of strict zero-carb recipes with a focus on nutrient density and nose-to-tail variety.
Sections on fats and sauces, eggs, pork and poultry, fish and seafood, muscle meats, organs provide plenty of ideas for everyday meals and special occasion dinners. Favorites include Brown Butter Veloute, 3-Ingredient No Churn Ice Cream, No Marinade BBQ Kebabs, Easy Ribeye Roast, and Oven-Roasted Marrow Bones. Recipes are beautifully laid out and complimented with full color, full page photographs.
Variations and modifications are noted for those who enjoy and tolerate unnecessary seasonings and low-carb vegetables or may be cooking for a multi-diet home. Most recipes are egg and dairy-free, a handful of dishes contain raw dairy.
Steaks are amazing, but don’t stop there. This collection teaches all you need to know about preparing ultra simple, nourishing recipes.
I've just purchased this book and it's wonderful. Great illustrations, Clear instructions, loads of variety, and an entertaining read as well. This book is for anyone who wants to do justice to meat and honour the whole animal. I'm sixty two and it's the best book I've ever seen purely on meat cookery. I highly recommend it.
This book was one of the key parts on my successful eczema healing journey!
I learned so much more than recipes - It gave me an improved understanding of essential nutrients, traditional foods, digestion and different ways of incorporating lesser known foods such as organs (liver, kidney, heart, tongue etc), the vast benefits of fats (tallow, raw butter, bone marrow etc), understanding of raw meats and so forth.
Jessica and Tristan have done an amazing job compiling a significant amount of information about REAL healing diets and ANCESTRAL health - both through this book and through their youtube channel. So desperately needed in these degenerate times.
