I really enjoyed Zack & Britney's story. Good characters. This was a new author for me. And I hope to read more of her books. I'm voluntarily leaving an honest review for a copy of the book via booksprout.
Filled with tender moments and plenty of suspense, The Driven Billionaire tells the story of two people who used to crush on each other in their youth as they become neighbors and temporary roommates. The story follows Brittney, a woman whose life is falling apart - she’s broke, she just lost her job, and her ex is stalking her. In an attempt to hide out and save some money, she moves into the home she inherited from her grandmother - only to discover that her new neighbor is her brother’s best friend, Zack. Brittney and Zack had crushes on each other when they were younger, but neither knew that the other felt the same way. Now that they’re both adults and Brittney’s brother isn’t around, they have the freedom to act on their feelings. But Brittney’s past is catching up to her, and their future isn’t as secure as they might hope.
I liked this book but didn’t love it. There’s a sweetness to the relationship, because they’ve known each other for years and their feelings have been building for a long time. I liked the quieter moments in the book - them acting as roommates, getting to know each other all over again. Personally, I wasn’t a huge fan of the suspense; this is not a short book and it seemed like an unnecessary addition to the story. Having a stalker is enough of an issue; I don’t think the other elements to Brittney’s background were essential, and it added enough length to the book that I started to get bored. That being said, the writing makes the pages flow easily and the characters were both likeable. It’s a sweet book with a bit of steam, and if you’re looking for a suspenseful subplot this certainly has that.

Oh my! What a delicious addition to the Covington Billionaires series.
Zack Benson is driven by the family motto, family comes first. During the day Zack is working his way up in the Benson Corporation on his dad’s timeline as all family members are expected to do. With little visible, lasting impact to his successes within the company he is keeping himself grounded by restoring a grand old home in a seedier section of Los Angeles and chasing off teens and vandals from the vacant home next door.
Brittany works two jobs and struggles to make ends meet. The bill is due for her sisters tuition, she’s dealing with a crazy ex-boyfriend and living with the painful reminder of a day in court that sent a drug dealer to prison. Preparing to head to work, things seem eerily out of place in her apartment. In what can only be described as the day from hell, she heads out her door to discover the wall and her front door tagged in blood red paint, her crazed ex boyfriend shows up at work causing her to lose her job and returns home to a knock on her door to be served with a three day eviction order. Desperate to get away from her crazy ex, and with limited resources, she quickly packs her car and moves back to L.A. in a house left to her by her grandmother.
As fate would have it, Zach sees a dim light in the house next door and heads over once again to kick out whoever is in there. With a canister of pepper spray turned on each other, Zach and Brittany recognize each other’s voices. The very ones they each longed for growing up.
Drama, suspense, laughs, an unexpected twist and lots of love. Zach is by far my favorite Benson.
There’s good stuff in here, and if the bad doesn’t annoy you, then you’ll probably enjoy it. I, unfortunately, found it far too distracting. The good: there’s more than one villain, and a few different sub-plots weaving through the main story. The billionaire actually knows how to do things outside the boardroom, like renovating his old Victorian himself. Other characters from other books are involved, and it sets the scene nicely for a large world of different books. The bad: Brittney is oddly evasive. Although we soon learn she has a stalker, it doesn’t explain all the little lies (like that she’s never been to a particular restaurant before when she has), even though they’re made out to be some secret important to the plot. There are allusions to some terrible thing she did in the past sprinkled throughout, which gets old (we get a little more info 75% of the way through the book). The bit about Zack not liking fruit is so overplayed — at every.single.meal — and what billionaire can reach his 30s not knowing what a kiwi is? For that matter, how can she be a bartender and not know what Macallan is? They’re constantly bossing each other around, and he’s incredibly overbearing, constantly overruling her choices (some in the name of safety, but mostly just because, like her drinks). The two of them together just didn’t feel right. I received a free copy of this book and voluntarily reviewed it.
Oh so good. Zack, your typical alpha possessive billionaire is learning his way though the family business during the day. At night, he is renovating his home and running off the bad kids that keep breaking in to the abandoned home next door. When one night, he goes over there and he is beyond shocked at what he finds.
Brittney’s life is going up in smoke. Her deranged lunatic of an ex will not leave her alone and now he has gotten her fired and evicted from her home. With no money, no job and no home, Brittney goes to stay at her grandparents home that her and her sister inherited. When she arrives, the house has no power, no water, dirty, and completely is Desiree. She is startled and sees a shadow and starts spraying the shadow with pepper spray. She is equally shocked, if not more, than to see who is standing in front of her.
So many good things about this book. The storytelling is fantastic. Very interesting and entertaining from page 1 until the end. Loved the banter and bossiness of both and loved their chemistry. One small thing..I have a pet peeve on lack of communication, so there was that but the story was still great and totally worth the read.
I love this family and each book that comes out never fails to grab and attention and love them more as they are my epitome of what a family should be like.
Brittney and Zack story is a thrilling romance that will have you in suspense all though out and on anticipation of the next reveal.
The hint of the kidnapped cousin has me all excitedly waiting for the next installation and the preview of the next book starts with high expectations eagerly looking forward to it.
Spoiler alert my favourite statement “Its up to you to make this right. If you don’t get her to marry you, we’ll be right back where we started: you sleeping with my sister and not marrying her. That’s fucking unacceptable”
Doug is the best big brother is I might say so

This story has such a action-filled romance that has a combination of sorrow in it that it just leaps out at you where you can not put it down! I was hanging on the edge of my seat wanting to skip forward to see what had happened to make her run away and just take the stress of everything on herself! But I did not want to ruin the shock of understanding by skipping. The way the she was being preyed upon by her ex is no laughing matter as being stalked is such a scary event to go through that I take such pride in people who are able to stand up and brave it everyday to keep going as the stress alone of never feeling like you are safe can drive even the most level headed person to madness with paranoia. I recommend this book to read for a action punch of romance !

Romance rather tender, but full of action. It's a good romance that combines seduction and action, the heroin Brittney cumulating problems. On the contrary, Zack has strong shoulders facing her. Brittney is harassed by her ex Benji to the point that she loses her job and apartment. To escape, she returns to L.A in the house of her grandmother, who is close to Zack's house, a freind of her brother. He belongs to a wealthy family and is trained to take over from his father, which he does not particularly want. Since the house is not habitable, Zack decides to host Brittney and they rediscover the attraction they had hidden. But the trouble accumulates for Brittney who does not know how to face them between her ex, and the reason she had to flee L.A and change her name. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book
Poor Brittney, she's having a hell of a day & it leads to her packing up to live in the house her grandmother left her. I felt so badly for her because days like the one she just experienced are super mean. Unfortunately, it's in the one place she vowed to never return to but here we are. Turns out that Zack, her brother's best friend, is her neighbor, and he knows he has to keep his hands to himself, but the sparks flying between them it's only a matter of time before bro code goes right out of the window. Things really get complicated when Brittney's past comes for her which puts her in big time danger, so Zack goes into protective mode & keeps her close. So will he be able to keep her safe?! And more importantly, will they have a shot at HEA when all is said & done?! You know what to do to find out as I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
The Driven Billionaire was a addictive read. One you didn’t want to put down. I enjoyed every element of this story.
Best Friends sister moves back into town right beside Zack. He instantly protective of Brittany. What he wasn’t expecting as to feel all the feelings that he once had for her to return full force.
Brittany never thought she’d back back in town living in her Grandmas old house, right beside Zack, her brothers best friend. But she finds herself in danger and then living with Zach.
We follow as these two try and stay alive with all the danger lurking all the while finding their happy ever after.

I loved this book! I have ready all of the books in this series and I have to send a special thanks to Erin for not treating the return readers to another boring series catch up session. She does a great job of reminding the reader of previous events in a gentle fashion. But back to this story... I loved this story line because it was pulling me in multiple directions. The end was a bit of a surprise and pulling in the other story line worked perfect here. This is a great summer read and if you have not read the series I encourage you to do so, it will make you love the characters even more!

Brittney is always running from her past and all of the mistakes she had made. Seeing someone murdered she is running scared. So scared that she changes her name. After her stalker Ex Benji causes her to loose her job, she only has one place to run to and that is back to LA to her Grandmothers house. Her next door neighbor is her twin brother's best friend. Zack realizes that Brittney is down on her luck and offer to help her. Her past comes back to haunt her in many ways. Have to read it to find out. Love Erin Swann books. Great weekend read

This is the eighth book in the Covington series and once again it was a pleasure to read each book is a stand alone but do yourself a favour read them all as there are many cross over characters
This is Brittany and Zach's story. They had an attraction to one another has teens but Zach knew she was off limits after all he had to obey the bro code so eventually Brittany moved away but now she has returned and she is his next door neighbour. The attraction is still there between them and when Brittany finds out the reason he never made a move on her she is determined to break down his walls. Will they get a HEA this time you will have to read to see
A good story-line as it intertwines with previous novels with other families. Brittney, is up to her neck with bad luck & is on the run, hiding from a dangerous man from her past and a loser ex-boyfriend who makes her life even more miserable & difficult. Zack, is her knight-in-shining-armor & continues to do everything in his power to help her stand on her own two feet once again. I found it too long of a read (400 pgs) & even though it's an interesting story, it wasn't keeping me captivated & I kept losing interest.

Years, she lived with guilt, and worry over being caught. Even going so far as to officially change her last name. But one secret longing followed her most of her life; Zack. What she had never known was that Zack had never forgotten her either... Completely unexpected, they stumble across each other when she heads for her grandmother's house. It had been willed to her and her sister, and she needed a place to settle for a bit. Nothing would ever be the same again. Exceptional mystery. A fine story about two who find each other after long years, and how they handle the danger she hides from.
I’ve enjoyed all the books I’ve read from Erin and this one is also a great read. This book has suspense, love, frustration and a great message on looking ahead and not back. I wanted to throttle some characters, hug others and become friends with some. Even though there are 44 Chapters, it is a quick read. I read it in two days, had a roadblock called work or I think I could’ve read it in one day. Hope you like it as well as I did!

I normally enjoy books by this author, but this book is so boring if I could have given it zero stars I would have done it. The writing is so inane i couldn't read all the pages. Why would one write about going to the pee? Shaving her legs, brushing one's teeth! Really? Is it a lack of ideas? Such drivel! This book happens to be one of the worst books i have ever read.
Me Swann needs to get another editor. If I had paid for this book I would have wanted my monies back.
I really enjoyed this book, it had so much going for it; the characters were interesting and developed, there were twists and turns, ex's, pasts, crime, suspense, mystery, family, friends, expectations, hopes, dreams and love. I loved the ease that Zack and Brittany had together, they were perfect together and taught me a thing or too about house repairing/renovating 😆. I thought I would start this and then go to bed, picking it up in the morning....yeah I've finished it and not gone to bed yet!

This is an on the edge of your seat read and is definitely recommended.

Clint has longed for Anya from the beginning This is my second book by Jamie in the Club Inferno series and I love authors continuing a series with characters from the first book yet each book is a standalone. Anya is a model currently working at Couture and is auditioning for a part in an off broadway play after she loses weight per her agent. Clint works at Couture and some side jobs to save up to own his own tequila tasting bar. Clint and Anya have the hots for the other, but can Anya open up to Clint’s dom needs? You have to read to find out and will love the steam coming off these two!

My first book by the author and definitely not my last. Zack and Brittney had sparks flying from the start and not always good ones. The storyline was engrossing and kept me reading later than intended. Brittney secrets were finally revealed bit by bit leaving me needing to read on to find out more. I can't wait to read more my this author.

Not your ordinary love story! There is a lot going on that influences Brittany and Zach both individually and as a couple. They have been attracted to each other for years, but the “Bro Code” has made doing anything about it impossible. When worse comes to worse for her she flees to California and her grandmother’s vacant house. Suspense, danger, friendship, and love keep the book interesting. This is my first book by Erin Swann and I was not disappointed. It has great characters, lots of suspense and danger, off-the-charts chemistry, and the Bro Code. One thing Zack and Brittney need to do is forget the Bro Code and look to the future.
I would love to read the rest of the books in this series.

Ms. Swann has another hit on her hands. This book has so many twist and turns, you could get lost. Just when you think you know what is going on, guess what another surprise twist. Since I hate spoilers I refuse to do one. This book is part of a series but can be read as a stand-alone book. Enjoy I know I did.

A great contemporary romance that kept me entertained and engaged from beginning to end with complex characters, a bit of suspense, and steamy romance. I really liked the attraction and undeniable chemistry between Zack Benson and his best friend's twin sister, Brittney Spear. Ms. Swann has given us another winner and I look forward to reading more from this gifted author. I received an advance reader copy from Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving my honest review.
The 1st couple of stories in this series was good.so.I.kept reading but so far they have been going downhill since book 4. This was my least favorite book so far. The storyline was boring, the couple lackluster and the sex scenes so..ugh... I skipped every single one. Just dull...plus I did NOT like the h, she was so annoying and off. Moods all over the place and H was ok I guess...
I chose this rating because this was a really good book. I enjoyed most all of the characters. This was a book of compassion, kindness, determination, and getting your life back. I really enjoyed Zack and Brittany story. I think the author did an amazing job in putting these two characters together. I'm loving all of the Covington Billionaires books. Great read! I recommend this series to all romance readers.
