A short story of a child counting up to ten and colorful monsters to accompany him.

I maybe just a tad bit old to read this book as specified by the For Years 2+ stickers.

But it is always good to check around the house for monsters.

Children's. Counting book. Little boy counts the monsters in his room, and then shuts the door and window so that they can't escape.

Summary (CIP):A little boy counts ten monters in his room at bedtime, but he is able to get rid of them all.

Review: A counting book designed for early readers, the text is easy but understanding the story is not. A young boy looks around his room and monters follow him, he is never really looking at them and at times seems to be hiding from them until he is in a room filled with ten monsters. Then he shuts the window and the door and they all disappear? Doesn't make any sense to me! All 20 of the words used in this book are helpfully listed in the beginning.

Mediocre to negative review in SLJ, seems to like the illustrations OK, but do not correlate well with the text. Only review I could find!

I don't get what the author wants to tell. The Illustration and text dont match at all. I cannot use this book for my sisters.
