The Vampire Queen

Rate this book
It's not easy being the worst vampire ever

Tandi may have been killed by ghouls, but now she's a brand new vampire. And she's determined to be the best.

But determination can't take her very far when she won't even kill a deer for its blood. Not to mention she's not as subservient to her master--the Prince of Vampires--as she should be. Despite him being a dead hot guy, and powerful enough to have broken free of the Queen's influence.

Little does she know that the Queen of Vampires wants her Prince back, and Tandi's about to get caught in the middle. Just as well the Prince is unusually protective of her, even if she is trying to hide her developing feelings for him. Because when they're invited to a wedding, and the Queen will plan Tandi's death there. And the crown-wearing vamp has several ways to do it.

But Tandi is full of surprises herself.

When a disreputable cat turns up promising to help, together with the gorgeous Prince they hatch a plan. It's dangerous. Maybe even deadly. But if everything goes just right, they might just have a chance.

Of course, when does anything go just right? Maybe being killed by ghouls wasn't such a bad thing after all.

The Vampire Queen is the third book in the Urban/Paranormal Wheel of Crowns series by Brandi Elledge. With the same quirky humour and sass as the first two books in the series, you'll laugh as you're glued to the pages until the very end.

The Vampire Queen (Wheel of Crowns Book 3) by Brandi Elledge was a hooking read, that had me flipping the pages. Who needs seep?

Not my first read by this author or in this series, so when this book was released I snatched it out. Just so you know though these books are part of a series, they can be read as standalones, and out of order. So if you haven't read the other books, you got no worries about spoilers or feeling lost.

I have to say, this instalment has probably been the best so far. I loved the opening, and the MC was witty, fun an a little bit of a goof. I think if I was a vampire we'd be alike. This book felt, there, like, everything flowed nicely, the connection felt real and I believe the author found their stride with this book. Not that the other books aren't as good, it's just this one, was polished, and shiny. (I highly suggest the other books BTW).

Overall this book was as I said, fun, detailed, and smooth. If you're looking for a good unique, quirky vampire read, then I highly suggest you gets your hands on this truly one of a kind read.

Happy Reading

The Vampire Queen (Wheel of Crowns Book 3)
By: Brandi Elledge
5 out of 5 stars

The story The Vampire Queen (Wheel of Crowns Book 3) by Brandi Elledge is a wonderful supernatural fantasy book that I loved reading. It is a story that has action, danger, and romance. It is a book that drew me in from the very beginning and I didn’t want to put it down until I had finished the last page. I loved reading about the character of Tandi. She is a newly made vampire that seems to have the title of “worst vampire ever.” She is trying to train and learn how to survive on her own however the more she tries the more her humanity seems to come out. She keeps her attraction to the Prince of the Vampires to herself even when she finds him hot and smoking. She also finds herself at odds with the Queen of the Vampires who wants her Prince back. This could include the demise of Tandi. Will Tandi survive the Queen’s plans? Will Tandi show her true feelings for the Prince of Vampires? What does the future hold for Tandi? Read this book to find out. There are times when I was turning pages wondering what was going to happen next in the story. There is also playful and humorous bantering dialogue included. There are other characters that are introduced and some of them I enjoyed reading about while others had their own agenda and plans. Will they be stopped? Don’t miss out on an exciting story that will have you glued to the pages. Recommended reading.

Have to say love Tandi, she cracks me up. She is my favorite female character so far in this series. I am not sure where I stand with the guys. Stephen runs a close first with Camden. Although all of the guys are pretty awesome.

I give The Vampire Queen (Wheel of Crowns Book 3) by Brandi Elledge, 5 stars.
*This review contains spoilers from previous books in the series.*

Tandi is now a vampire. Yes, it is what she wished to happen in case of her death, but she has no idea how to cope. She has been moved away from the only place she knew, and is far from her best friend. She knows it's for the best and only temporary, but still. Not to mention that she seems to be a horrible vampire, she can't do anything right. She even has the hot vampire prince to train her. He is sexy as hell she has an attraction to him but he doesn't seem to have any interest. What is she supposed to do?

When another vampire faction attacks, she realizes just how serious this impending war really is. She gets down to business and decides to help the good guys. Can she become what is expected of her? There are many who will do anything to get in her way, but she is now determined. Little does an she know just how much she will learn about herself on the way. With the help of her friends, just maybe things will work out.

I loved Tandi in the previous book and was so happy to see her as the main character in this book. She is just as girly and spunky as I remembered too! She makes such a great lead. But she has faults too, which makes her even better. She learns a lot and quickly adapts throughout the story. The other characters in the book are great too. Note to the author: I really what to see more of Tracker in upcoming books, her was so my favorite secondary character! The story itself is interesting and pulls you in. There were many twists and turns that I did not see coming. There was action, along with romance, heartache and even humor thrown in to make a complete story. It can be read as a standalone, but you will know more if you read the previous books first.

If you like paranormal romance or urban fantasy with a great story and characters, this series and book is for you.

Wow, wow, wow, wow, wow! How many more times can I possibly say that Brandi Elledge just continues to get better and better! Book 1 was an incredible start, exciting and a brilliant introduction Book 2 was thrilling, exciting and totally captivating from the start. This book The Vampire Queen has been incredible from start to finish.

Tandi and Stephan have now become my all-time favourite through this whole series, while the other characters in previous books have been amazing to follow, there is just something about Tandi & Stephan that has made me smile the entire read! I absolutely loved the banter and the back and forth these two had, but also the protectiveness that both of them showed each other at certain times. You could tell something would come of these two as their connection was undeniable even if they tried to ignore it when it was in plain sight.

I loved learning along with characters, especially finding out all what was beneath the surface of Tandi and her unusual behaviour towards Vampirism. I also loved reading that there was more to Stephan than what we found out in previous books, whether that was the amount of power he actually possesses and of the heartache he has had to face at the hands of the Vampire Queen.
Again Brandi Elledge has created a mentally visual read that I could picture the entire time I was reading this captivating, thrilling, suspenseful read, I can not fault the writing, the plot or the characters whatsoever. Everything about this book I loved! I once again would just love for it to have been in dual POV there were many scenes with Stephan that I needed to know what he was really thinking and feeling!

I CANNOT recommend this book enough, I loved every single bit of it! This is a book not to be missed, as well as a series that should not be missed! I can't wait to see what else this author brings to this series and I will definitely be looking out for more of her reads.

The Vampire Queen (Wheel Of Crowns Book 3) by Brandi Elledge

5-stars

The Vampire Queen is book three in this amazing and exciting series. It cannot be read as a standalone and picks up where book two ends. The novels main characters are Tandi and Stephan who are originally introduced in the first two books. Tandi is turned into a vamp by Stephan, the Prince of Vampires, and has a uniqueness not seen in other vamps. She has more of her humanity in place still. An old flame of Stephans, who happens to be the Queen of Vampires, becomes jealous of her and sets out to cause trouble why the two work to avenge the death of a friend and find one of the coveted keys.

Tandi was a magnificently created character. I loved her witty comments and her personality. Stephan was portrayed as tough but that seemed to be a front to hide his feelings for Tandi. I immediately did not like the queen. She fit the antagonist role well.

This novels storyline was easy to follow and the setting for every scene was descriptive and engaging. I think this book is my favorite thus far. I look forward to more in this series.

A quick fun read. This storyline was more enjoyable than the second book. It had more too it and the further in you got the more interesting it became.

If you are reading this in order in the series you will notice that there are a few discrepancies in the timeline. These are most prevalent in the beginning of the book.

The writing at times is a bit messy and some details don't stay the same, especially when recalling them from earlier chapters. This throws off the flow of the story.

There is also an excessive amount of commentary on Tandi's sudden weight loss which feels unnecessary and honestly inaccurate. It also isn't explained for a long time and then the explanation itself feels superfluous.

For a YA novel I feel it's irresponsible of an author to put so much emphasis on being skinny.

The Vampire Queen (Wheel of Crowns Book 3) by Brandi Elledge is another fantastic story to this wonderful this series that I absolutely love. The paranormal fantasy world that Brandi has created speaks to you and to the struggles and triumphs these wonderful characters. Brandi’s humour never fails to make me laugh out loud. Charlie's best friend from book two gets her own story and it is great. The mystery and the unknown, the trials and tribulations and never knowing what will happen next makes for one explosive and action packed read. This series is enthralling has you riveted to your seat. I have said before that the only thing that could make the story better is if it was told in the male POV as well, which is something I love.

Tandi is now a vampire after being killed by ghouls in book two. She has who don’t care and only her best friend as family but she has a new person in her life that she loves more than anything but when that person is taken away, she vows to hunt down those that caused it. She now finds herself in a situation of that as a major player in the war. Witches and warlocks, werewolves and vampires, demons and fae, and many others fight to the death to find the keys and destroy the evil vampire queen.

Brandi is a must have in my life and with this series. Make sure you read them in order and sit back and enjoy the thrilling ride that will have you enthralled.

The Vampire Queen (Wheel of Crowns Book 3) by Brandi Elledge

5 out of 5 stars

The vampire Queen is the third book in the Wheel of Crowns series written by Brandi Elledge and I have read all three books and I loved each and every one of them. The characters are well written and the plot was amazing the secondary characters and their quirkiness made the story more enjoyable. I read this book in one sitting that’s how good this book/series is.

We met Tandi in the Queen of Witches book and we met Stephen in the Queen of Werewolves. Stephen is the prince of vampires while Tandi is a human.

Tandi is now a brand new vampire she may have been killed by ghouls, but she’s determined to be the best. But her determination won’t take her very far when she won’t even kill a deer for its blood. Not to mention she’s not as subservient to her master the Prince of Vampires aka Stephen as she should be.

She also finds herself at odds with the Queen of the Vampires who wants her Prince back. Despite him being a dead hot guy, and powerful enough to have broken free of the Queen’s influence once before. So now Tandi is caught in the middle.

Can Tandi survive the queen’s plan? Will she prove herself capable of overcoming the queen’s plans for her? You will have to read this amazing book/series.

The Vampire Queen (Wheel of Crowns Book 3) by Brandi Elledge
5 Stars

This is the third book in the Wheel of Crowns series. I love this series! The men are hot and the female leads are strong. This is Tandi’s story and she’s hilarious. Recently turned into a vampire, Tandi struggles somewhat when she realizes that she sucks at it ( pun intended). She can’t bring herself to kill Bambi or Thumper. Oh my god, those scenes will have you crying from laughter. The only perk is that her master who is the Prince of Vampires is hotter than hell. The attraction grows between the two but unfortunately the Queen wants her Prince backhand has no qualms in killing Tandi to get what she wants.

This is another story filled with action, drama and quirky characters. Tracker the cat and Tandi’s southern attitude will have you laughing out loud. There are some surprises in this book as well. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and hope there will be more to come. Perhaps a book about Death and the Zombie Princess?

Edited 5th December 2019- This is definitely one of my favourite reads of the year- if not ever! Just finished re-reading the first three books in this spellbinding series, so everything is fresh in my mind as I dive into book four! Brilliant....

The Vampire Queen is the third book in the Wheel of Crowns Series by Brandi Elledge. It’s a completely riveting, action-packed paranormal fantasy- with vampires, witches, werewolves, psychics, soothsayers, supernatural creatures, magic, fate, missing keys, bloody battles, intensity, drama, changes, discoveries, chemistry, friendship, different factions, hidden agendas, twists, jaw dropping revelations, and so much more.
We met Tandi in the previous book, as she is Charlies best friend- and who has only recently been ‘turned’. But she’s not your average fledgling vampire. We discover there is so much more to her, and her new ‘condition’ than we could have ever guessed. And adding Stephen to the mix makes for some spellbinding reading!
Stephen is an ancient vampire prince, who looks like he’s only in his early 20’s. He’s powerful, and broody- with a sexy ‘bad-boy’ vibe. He’s taken Tandi under his wing to help her adjust to the vampire world. So, what happens when the vengeful and conniving Queen of Vampires decides she wants Stephen for herself? What about Stephen and Tandi’s quest for one of the missing keys? What happens when feeling become involved? Squeeeee- I really can’t recommend this book/series highly enough. It really deserves to be read!!!
This book was so great- it’s funny, emotive, exciting, fast-paced, intense, touching, romantic, and just plain incredible. The story is told from Tandi’s perspective, which I loved- but I really wanted to hear Stephens take on it all, too- that would have taken the story to a whole new level. As would exploring Tandi and Stephen’s chemistry in greater detail!!
All the characters are superb- so cleverly crafted and all adding their own mark on the story. Tandi is definitely my spirit animal- I just loved her. Stephen is definitely book boyfriend material- sigh. And Tracker really stole the show- he really cracked me up!
As I have said numerous times now, Ms. Elledge is a gifted storyteller, excelling at original, and intricately detailed world building- easily bringing her stories to life. Sheer brilliance!!! Without a doubt, one of my favourite series, ever!!
And, I seriously CAN NOT WAIT FOR MORE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bravo, and thank you Ms. Elledge

The Vampire Queen (Wheel of Crowns #3)
By Brandi Elledge
5 stars

I have been eagerly waiting to read the third instalment to this series and I was not disappointed at all! Again it was another amazing 5 star read and one that I loved reading from beginning to end.
I adored Tandi – she was a fantastic character. She made me laugh and I wasn’t expecting that from a paranormal story, I loved the fact that she wasn’t very good at being a vampire! I loved the forbidden kind of romance feel to the story; it almost felt a little fairy tale like in parts which I LOVED!! The Prince of Vampires – oh my gosh was he hot or what? Even I wanted to be a vampire!! I loved the attraction between them and the storyline that came from this attraction! I loved the twists and turns in the story – absolutely fantastic read!
I thought that book 2 was my favourite in the series but now I cannot make up my mind between that one and this book! This really was a fantastic read and I cannot recommend it highly enough! I think it’s safe to say Ms Elledge is definitely one of authors to go to for great paranormal reads and I cannot wait to read more form her again in the future.

As with the other books, I started this while waiting for my coffee and finished just before it was time to go to bed. These stories are fun can captivating. They pull you into this world so quickly you can't help but want to read the whole thing in one sitting. Tandi is just as fun and as funny in this book as she is in The Queen of Witches. But... unlike the others in the series, this one has more spice to it. Which I think comes from the fact that it's about Vampires. Where as Werewolves and Witches are more family or Coven based. Vampires are creatures of passion, be it passion for blood, violence, power or sex. And Stephen and Tandis relationship has all the lovely spice you could want. The plot is getting more and more interesting as the different characters begin to pop up in all of these stories. We have a new Werewolf Royal couple, and new Witch Queen and now... A new power house of a Vampire Royal couple. We also have the intoriduction of the Fea in this world. The more I read the more I want. I will be starting the next book tomorrow morning, much like i have the last 3, waiting for my coffee... and I can't wait! 10 outta 10 will deffinalty read again!!

The Vampire Queen (Wheel of Crowns Book 3) by Brandi Elledge is the next amazing book in this remarkable series. Each book builds upon the overall story/theme of the series and is exquisitely written. The Vampire Queen is Stephan and Tandi's story, as supporting characters in previous book(s), I couldn't wait to read this next epic tale to include Stephan who has captivated my attention from the first book. As we delver more and more into the overall paranormal dynamic of this world, more truths, lies, and unknowns are discovered. I could not put down this story as Brandi Elledge has built such an unbelievable sequences of events that you had to immediately unfold to see what was around the next corner. There are hilarious and serious moments in this novel and Tandi is by far such a fearless female lead with her strong personality. I applaud the author and am anxiously awaiting the next book(s) in this amazing series!!

The Vampire Queen (Wheel of Crowns Book 3) By Brandi Elledge
5 Stars!!!!!

This is the third book in the series and I have to say I was not disappointed. The author just keeps the momentum going and I was glued to the pages. The characters are brought to life and you feel as though you are part of the story.

I love the fact that Tandi was actually special as well. I just found myself really drawn to her character from the second book and this third book really just drew me in closer. I love how Stephan and Tandi get together. I also found it refreshing that it wasn't just obvious that they were mated and he played sort of indifferent to her. I love how the author brought the drama around the story and yet had that underlying romance. I will definitely be reading more from this author and I hope to read more from this series.

The Vampire Queen by Brandi Elledge is the third book in the Wheel of Crowns series. This time we get the story of Tandi, a newly made vampire, who is the worst vampire ever. She is not keen on following the directions of the Prince of Vampires and so how has gotten herself between him and the Queen of Vampires, who wants her Prince back. Like the other books in the series, the story flows and is easy to read. I like the characters because there is always good banter and conversation that help to guide the story. Tandi is great. She remembers her humanity and this often gets her into situations. I really have enjoyed this series and look forward to reading more from this author in the future.

The Vampire Queen (Wheel of Crowns Book 3) by Brandi Elledge

5-stars

If it was possible to give this book 10 stars I definitely would. The Vampire Queen is a phenomenal paranormal read that had me sitting on the edge of my seat from start to finish. I loved Tandi from her first appearance so I can’t even describe how happy I was when I found out she had her very own story. She’s my favourite character of the series which also makes this book my favourite so far, which is saying something because I loved the first two.

Tandi’s story is just as action-packed and detailed as the first two books but with the added bonus of her sarcastic and witty humor which had me laughing out loud.

This is a book I would absolutely recommend to anyone looking for their next paranormal read!

Brandi Elledge does an amazing job the the Wheel of Crowns series and The Vampire Queen is by far my favorite. This story has everything to make this an awesome paranormal story: witches, werewolves, magical creatures, but the best of them all is the vampire. In this book, we read about Tandi a newly turned vampire who is just trying to fit in. There are layers to her and I love her story, especially when Stephen enters into the picture. Stephen is an ancient vampire price who has taken Tandi to assist her to become a vampire a little less confusing. That lasted until the Queen of Vampires wants Stephen for herself. Will Tandi become a great vampire with the help of Steven or will the Vampire Queen interfere?

The Vampire Queen is the third installment in this funny and thrilling series. Tandi is a great character that made me laugh in public way too much. These stories are full of adventure and sweet romance, but I also think that they are empowering. That's what I love about this genre, it shows you that you can be flawed but that those flaws don't define you. That strength comes in all forms and sometimes it's the people we least expect who surprise us the most. This book proved to be just as enthralling as the previous two and the only problem that I do have with this book is, it didn't give any hint as to who the next queen will be. I'm way too eager to see what unfolds in the quest to save the world.

This Series has gotten so much better as it progresses and I liked the first book. This book made me sort of giddy, it was a really good story and you can’t help but like Tandie and Stephen. His Sister Dani would be good in another book as well. This series is Well written, well plotted, and the storyline is pretty linear. It’s written in a way that it is easy to fall in love with the characters. It was pretty detail-oriented and the side notes and the preps for new characters were all so exciting I’m like for instance Tandie’s pop coming into play. Great book, great series, I definitely recommend reading it!

Brandi Elledge is a master storyteller. This series has hooked me from book 1 and it won't let me go. Anyone that loves Paranormal will crave this series! Everything goes into her stories, adventure, danger, romance, and etc.

Tandi, you can't help but love her. She's newly turned but is horrible at being a vampire. She's attracted to the prince but she hides it But the queen wants him back. Can she survive this test? Will she survive the queen?

This whole series is one amazing adventure and one that I crave more of!

I am beginning to repeat myself with each review on books in this series...

What a great, quick read that is well written and took me on an adventure full of all the things that make this series wonderful.

There is so much that is just right about this series. The characters are well developed and no personality is wasted. It is a about friendships and frenemies and everything in between.

This is book 3 of the series and while it may be able to be read as a stand-alone, i think it would be better to read them in order.

Great book, great series, great author.

This is the third book in this series, I enjoyed it just as much as the previous two. This is a story that is well written, creative and engaging. The characters are connectable and bring the story to life for me. In this book Tandi seems to find herself caught in the middle of a fight between the Queen and the Prince. When a plan is made, they just may find themselves in danger but just when they thought it will be okay, boom, nothing seems to be right. I highly recommend this book.

Amazing

This book was full of snark and laughter. It was a bit different than the other two in the series, but equally amazing. This book spent more time on character development of a character you already loved, not that you could imagine Charlie becoming something even more spectacular than what she was. You also see a different side to her mate as he handles falling in love as well.

By far the best out of the first three books. Tandi is a witty and smart mouthed woman who takes no crap from anyone, including her maker. There are twist and turns and surprises through out the whole book. You cheer Tandi on and at times you want to scream at her. The relationship between Tandi and Dani and Tandi and Stephen is sweet and humorous.
