Welcome to Gull Harbor where warm beach breezes bring second-chance romance that’s sweet and funny. Love doesn’t comes easy for Phoebe, Lindsay or Sarah in this Man from Yesterday box set. But this time, they get it right!
Still Not Over You The marriage might be over, but Phoebe and Ryder aren’t finished with each other. But can she take back a man who’s hurt her so badly? Maybe, if he’ll help fix the cottage they own jointly. Impatient to begin, Phoebe falls off a ladder. Encouraged by his father, Ryder steps in to help and he has more than their cottage in mind. Phoebe tests his patience further by wanting to “girly up the place” so he won’t be able to sell it out from under her. This sweet, funny romance plots a roadmap for forgiveness, reconciliation and sweet revenge.
Every Breath You Take Tanner Phelps is Lindsay Wheeler’s new, unexpectedly hot client. But the single mom of two is tempted to knock this clueless man over the head with a mop while she cleans the family home he’s inherited. An only child, Tanner knows nothing about kids. But maybe his neighbor Red, a child with Down syndrome, might help give this man a sensitivity makeover. Maybe Lindsay can help him forget a painful past as she rearranges his house and his heart.
Christmas Dreams and Santa Schemes Can the young widow make her family’s Christmas dreams come true? Sarah’s scheming little boys might have the answer. Recently widowed, Sarah runs the family bakery, hoping brisk holiday sales will help pay her overdue taxes. Her brother-in-law Ryan volunteers to help bake. What? She almost turns down the offer since he’s more comfortable on a Harley than in a kitchen. Her children don’t agree. Nathan and Justin adore their uncle and scheme to make him the man of Mom’s dreams. touches the heart. Join Phoebe, Lindsay and Sarah as they follow their hearts.
Barbara Lohr writes contemporary romance and women’s fiction, often with a humorous touch. Her series include Windy City Romance, Man from Yesterday, Best Friends to Forever and Romancing the Royals. In addition to romance, her work often explores family relationships. She believes that no man or woman falls in love without family influence, for better or for worse. Dark chocolate is her favorite food group and she makes a mean popover. When she's not writing, she loves to bike, kayak or golf. Barbara lives in the South with her husband and a cat that claims he was Heathcliff in a former life. Visit her on Facebook at www.facebook.com/barbaralohrauthor.
Barbara writes wonderful characters that you feel you know and into a world where you feel like you are walking right beside them. Her contemporary romance stories come from the heart and hit you in the heart. I have not read one book by this author that I have not loved. Grab a book or two of hers and get stuck in you won't regret it if you like contemporary romance and women's fiction stories.
This Man from Yesterday anthology has three of my favorite books from Barbara Lohr who writes sweet contemporary romances that have a good mix of humor, emotion and relatable characters you want to root for. I always go through the full gamut of emotions - laughing one minute and then crying during poignant times but they always leave a smile on my face and warmth in my heart and wishing they didn't end so quickly.
This set is the perfect read for vacation whether you're at the beach, poolside, in a mountain cabin, or at home. Each book will bring you great reading pleasure and stay with you long after you finish it. If I could give this box set more than five stars, I would!!
The three books in this set were all about second chances at love. In Still Not Over You, Phoebe and Ryder are divorced, but they haven't gotten over each other. In Every Breath You Take, widow and single mom Lindsay falls for Tanner, who doesn’t know what he wants to do with his life now that he’s out of the military. In Christmas Dreams and Santa Schemes, Sarah is Ryan’s brother’s widow and her boys want him to be their new father. Each book had plenty of funny and romantic moments. I loved catching up with the other characters from Gulf Harbor.
