This book was a shortie. We have a very "Handy" man who comes to bid on a job in a old farm house. The recent widow, Ginny, is struggling to come to grips with the loss of her husband and the undeniable attraction she feels towards her young stud of a handyman.
There were quite a few inner dialogue arguments that the characters had with themselves. I shouldn't do this, I can't do this, I'm horrible for wanting to do this, etc, etc.
This novella tackled a big issue IMO in a very short period of time. I bought it, but only just. I think I was too distracted by the descriptions of the handyman. I spent most of this book drooling over this man's pecks, and his neck...yeah his neck, who would have thought a neck would be sexy, but after reading this...let's just say a guy taking off a scarf is now a borderline striptease.
We get a conflict, lots of off-page time passage (which really helps the believability), and a sweet HEA.
I liked it, it was a sweet story with some steam. Don't know if I'd re-read just due to the dead husband topic, but a solid 3.5 stars.
