He was my best friend. My first love. Tragedy tore us apart. Fate brought us back together.
My night in Vegas was supposed to be a way for me to unwind and be in the present, not to relive the mistakes of my past. I didn't expect to wake up in my former best friend and first love's bed, married.
He was a man I could never forget...and a man I promised myself I would never love again. This spur-of-the-moment, sham-of-a-wedding was a mistake. But he thinks it's forever, and he's determined to prove it to me.
I want to give in, but the secrets of the past still haunt me. I can't fall in love with him a second time. And he can never know why.
Simone Rivers writes Interracial BWWM Romance with smart & strong heroines and supportive alpha heroes. Funny thing: a lot of these heroes also just happen to be billionaires with rock-hard abs. She loves hanging with her writing buds (a cat who likes to sit on her computer, and a dog who always wants to go on walks), and spending time with her family.
I Love, Love, Love the Woodcox brothers. Their whole family is off the wall funny and endearing. Phoenix is my favorite, strong, sensitive, romantic, and thoughtful just to name a few, but after each and every book, I also would have said that Chance was my favorite, then Ash is my favorite, they are all my favorites! I expect that Ian will be my favorite after reading his story. It’s hard to chose only one. Raven's mother was something else. I know that she loved her daughter, but she let her history cloud her relationship and care for her daughter and also caused her to have a chance to experience a healthy loving relationship with a partner of her own, which is sad. I am happy that they ended together, but it's sad that they lost so much time apart. Bravo, and I can not wait until the next book. It would be interesting to read Evan's story, but, oh well. The only downside of this story that appears to happen frequently with books I read on Kindle is the grammar and typos, but they did not detract much from the story.
Although I have been enjoying the brothers. I have to say I didn’t like Raven. Didn’t like the mother or the behavior or how they treated Phoenix. Ravens behavior ruined the whole book for me. I didn’t like him having to constantly beg her to be in her life. Overall still enjoy the series. I like how the family is starting to form and looking forward to reading Ian’s book.
